Nicole and the staff were amazing. Top notch service and dining all the way around. I couldn’t ask for more. The best clubhouse dining experience I’ve ever had… not to mention the great golf!

Our favorite«secret» breakfast place that’s became popular over the years. Food is so so, service is just above acceptable, price is very affordable and parking is easy. What makes us return year after year is the incredible view you cannot get anywhere else in SF. The serene views of the golf course and the lake make you forget you’re in San Francisco. The restaurant also has floor to ceiling windows and lots of natural lights. As for customer service, don’t expect too much. Servers are unaccommodating, slow and difficult to spot. This would have been a «5 star» restaurant if they improved the customer service.

Great views from the Window seating, careful as it does get hot there around noon! Nice selection of beers(Try the SF Broadway IPA) and The Bloody Mary is great! Food was OK… We had the Crab Cakes and Flemming Tacos… wasn’t feeling satisfied so I got the Garlic Fries and I am glad I did, as they were great and went well with my beer. Overall I had a good experience here and would come again in the future.

Been coming here for a while. A pleasant suprise to find a spacious dinning area with great views of the links and lake. Food is club food and quality ebbs and flows, the last couple of times I’ve found the fish and chips not to be crunchy. They do have a great lamb wrap, and servings are generous. The crowd is a definite mix of young golfers drinking at the bar and retired folk playing Mah Jong.

Had a fabulous lunch here today with my family. I ordered the Harding Club on sourdough, and had Mitchell’s Rocky Road Ice cream for dessert. Both were great and would definetly reccomend them. The view is gorgeous, overlooking Lake Merced and the golf course. Service was great and I will be back soon.

I find dining at a clubhouse to be very hit or miss. Some places become so antiquated, and stuck in tradition, that the quality of their food suffers, and you end up with bland club sandwiches, soggy fries, and stiff drinks(one perk, at least). My family ended up here after fairly terrible day, and had a very nice meal together. Together, we managed to demolish: + Harding Club + Albacore Tuna Melt(with onion rings inside) + Fleming Fish Tacos + Crab Cakes + Mitchell’s Espresso Chip Ice Cream The food was all delicious, service was great, and overall it was a positive experience. A clubhouse isn’t my #1 choice of venue for dining, but this is a great place to check out if you’re wrapping up a game, or just want a bite to eat.

Had lunch at Cypress Grill at Harding Park Golf course, San Francisco. Sitting by the window overlooking the #18 fairway and the green with the lake in the background. Great view. Ordered an Angus Beef Burger for $ 14. The burger was great, but the fries were burned and inedible. Asked the waitress to change to some edible fries. «Everyone is getting the same kind of fries,» she responded. Later she showed me some burned fries other customers ordered but did nothing to my complaint. What grade should I give the food and service?

My family and I love Cypress! The restaurant has one of the best clam chowder in town, just perfect hint of Tabasco and lemon. The sandwiches are lovely and fresh made to order! The wings are phenomenal too. The place is located in Harding Park so it has a nice view of the lake and the golf course. The service is also excellent! I’ve been in this establishment a few times and I’ve never been disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem. Many native San Franciscans I know don’t even know about Cypress Grill. I’m trying to spread the word. You pretty much can’t go wrong w/most of the food here. Burgers are great, their french dip was the best I’ve ever had, and the mushroom burger is also delicious. Salmon wrap was ok, as the fish was a little dry. The meatloaf sandwich is also good. And the soups are good, I hear. Plus, their menu changes ever so slightly every quarter or so, so it’s not the same choices every time you go. W/chef Colin at the helm, I’m always content. I’ve only had lunch here, so I can’t speak for bfast or dinner. As for Harding Park: The view is great! We loved it here so much, w/ample parking and convenience that we had our wedding reception here. Who wants their family, friends, and out of town guests driving around for ½ an hour and/or spending $ 10 – 20 for parking? We even had our pictures taken at different places around the golf course and my sisters had fun driving golf carts w/groomsmen and bridesmaids in tow. Just make sure you park further away from the entrance of the parking lot, as I heard and later saw a car on the receiving end of a nice big dimple on its hood. :(

Last Tuesday evening was the first time we ate here since last year. In my 7⁄14 review, we felt that the quality has gone downhill. Well our latest dinner shows that it has gone even further downhill. When we checked in with the front desk a little past 5PM, our reservation was not even listed. This was the 2nd time that this has happened even though we spoke to a live person. Luckily, they were able to accommodate our party of 2. The salad selection has shrunk. I liked the shrimp and the noodle salads. The soup was very ordinary and not flavorful. The cut of the prime rib was paper thin and much less than what a child’s plate would be. Mind you, we were paying an increased price to $ 30/person. Our waiter mentioned several times that we could ask for seconds and he brought us another paper thin slice. These two slices together was probably ½ the volume of last years. Granted beef prices have gone up, but not to a point where you have to grind the customers. The vegetables and potatoes were brought out later and we asked for a box to take it home. Last year, it was no big deal, however, it seemed like they made a production of it this year. We had cheese cake and some sort of cream pies for desserts. The cheesecake was decent, but the cream pie was flat and I couldn’t tell whether it was banana or coconut pie. This is our last time at the Cypress Grill. It is not longer a good value. We’ll just head over to the Garden Club in South San Francisco for some good quality prime rib.

A hidden gem in the Harding Park Golf Course at Lake Merced! Most of the time I come for breakfast, but the lunch menu is great too! This time I had the Prime Rib Dip, which is basically a French Dip Sandwich! Succulent cuts of beef piled high on a French Roll served with Au Jus and French Fries! Tasted delicious! The waiters and waitresses are great and the view is spectacular, especially on a beautiful day!

I came by with my family and I have to day, this place is great! We sat next to the windows and we got a nice view of the lake and the golf field. We ordered a cup of coffee and fish n’ chips. The coffee had a bold flavor and tastes great! The fish n’ chips was served with coleslaw, the fish was nicely battered then lightly fried, the bite was crispy and tender. The fries is also lightly fried, it was cripsy and a rally nice bite, also the tartar sauce is on point. The coleslaw wasn’t anything special, just the traditional coleslaw. Overall, this place is really nice for lunch, the atmosphere here is great and the environment is beautiful, try to get a seat next to the window if you want a nice view. 5 stars for the great food, coffee, and a nice view.

Cobb Salad: delicious! Service: excellent! Décor: pretty nice. Bloody Mary: spicy! Next time I’ll come a little later(at noon it was packed and noisy), by 1:30 it had cleared out and was much more enjoyable.

We ate lunch last week at the Cypress Grill and it was pretty good. I had the Caesar salad and my Wife had the clam chowder. She said it was the best chowder she has ever eaten. She ask the waitress about it and she said they add a dash of Tabasco and some lemon zest that we had never heard of in clam chowder. They have 10 different beers on draft also. The view is worth a million bucks! But I am holding back a star as it is a little pricey.

Still can’t think of a lovelier place to have lunch on a weekday, on any day. The dining room and the atmosphere is relaxing, even when it’s full. Have yet to have a bad meal. Recently, the fish and chips, the fish tacos and the pastrami sandwich were delicious. I’m waiting for Boston cream pie to make its return to the menu. The staff is always pleasant and efficient.

Well now I can’t button my pants… Huge amount of food at the last Tues of the month prime rib dinner. You get: Soup, Salad, main course –prime rib with jus and horseradish cream, or salmon piccata, with green beans, garlic bread, new potatoes, selection of desserts, coffee or tea. The food was fine. I liked the salads and vegetables best, but then I’m not a huge prime rib fan. Most of the diners were in the 65+ age range, with a few 20 to 30 something grandkids in tow. Service was relaxed and good. Maybe I’ll bring my father-in-law next time he visits, but I’ll be sure to reserve a window seat(and yes, you have to make a reservation well in advance.) PS I initially posted this under the clubhouse. There are several reviews there to check out also…

Cypress Grill is the restaurant located in the Club House at TPC Harding Park Golf Course. I have been here a couple of times. Decent sandwiches everything is from $ 12 to $ 15. I had the Pastrami Sandwich. It was OK. They use the deep fryer a lot, every one had some sort of fried food no their plate. Front of the house was disorganized, no one the seat customers. Waiters were hard to get a hold of. Had to flag people down to refill drinks.

I was always under the impression that you had to be a member at Harding Park if you wanted to eat at the clubhouse. Well… my assumption was wrong. Last weekend, we had breakfast here after walking around Lake Merced. The restaurant is spacious and the view would be awesome on a sunny day. The breakfast menu isn’t very extensive, but the prices are reasonable. We ordered: Presidential Breakfast($ 14) — It comes with two eggs any style, three buttermilk pancakes, potatoes, and your choice of apple wood smoked bacon, thick cut grilled ham, or sausage patties with your choice of bread. The buttermilk pancakes were cute and dainty. If you’re hungry, this is a good option and there’s a bit of everything. TPC Steak & Eggs($ 14) — Grilled New York steak, two eggs any style and potatoes served with your choice of toast — The steak came out perfectly cooked and a good size. English Club($ 10) — Choice of toasted English muffin or bagel with a fried egg, sausage, apple wood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, served with seasonal fruit — I ordered the English Club with English muffin. It reminded me of McD’s egg mcmuffin, but with a lot more meat. Half way through my sandwich, the sausage patty got a bit too heavy for me. The bowl of seasonal fruit was multi-colored. It consisted of melons, berries, pineapple, and bananas. I liked that all the fruits were fresh and not canned. Fleming French Toast($ 9) — Thick cut Texas toast bread dipped in eggs, cinnamon and vanilla topped with strawberries, bananas and toasted almonds — The French toast was plated nicely, which made it look appetizing. Orange Juice($ 3) — The price is fair for the size they give you. Coffee($ 3) — Free refills! Just hope you get a good server that refills your cup w/out you having to flag her down. Service was mediocre. Our server never smiled and was very unfriendly. She had the look of an evil witch from the Disney fairytale princess stories.

What a wonderful little getaway! We stopped by for a cocktail at the bar, with a full view of the east lake and cypress trees over nicely tended greens. It seemed like we had left the city completely. A rum & Coke and a chardonnay for $ 16 gave us the privilege of an idyllic experience far, far away, yet inside the city limits.

I’ve come here a couple times for work luncheons and have had an enjoyable experience each time. The restaurant is immersed on the golf course grounds, which allows for a beautiful backdrop for your meal. It’s exceptionally beautiful on a nice sunny day. Highlights include the soups. I’ve tried both the clam chowder and turkey chile and thought both were delicious. Both are cooked at a perfect consistency(not too thick, not too watery) and seasoned well. Also, you can’t go wrong with the burger. Very hearty in serving size and goes well with the french fries. Recently, I tried the portabella sandwich(mushroom), which was a pleasant surprise as it was delicious, a lighter option, and left me not feeling too full.
