This place is AMAZING! The first time I went there was for their weekly Wu Tang Wednesday, which I saw on a SF Events website. I thought it was going to be a bar but it ended up being so much cooler. The people are incredible, they asked my name and upon my second visit immediately recognized me and called me by name. I ended up talking to the employees more than my date! They are so nice and really interesting to talk to, as well as informative about the different types of tea they serve(I don’t know much about tea so they always help me decide). Also, it’s $ 10 for all you can drink so it’s perfect if you need to crank out an assignment or essay. They play good music and have lots of different rooms with super cozy furniture and board games and a piano from the early 1900s or something like that. They teach yoga and self-defense classes and have a super cool collection of in-progress DIY projects in the back. They are so awesome and friendly and I cannot recommend this place enough!

Wasted an hour of my time and cost of two Lyft rides to and from this place. I was really excited to check this out. It’s actually a little far from me, so yeh it’s extra effort to go here vs one of my usual cafes. Unfortunately despite Unilocal, google and website saying it is open, it was not. I rang the doorbell 5 times and called their number a few times. One of the people living in the spiritual community came out, just to say he has no idea what is going on. I’ve been here before for a meditation and it is a really cute space. I’d try checking this out again in a few months and hopefully they will have their business figured out by then. Until then, stick to a café that is properly up and running.

This place is the home of a certain movement in San Francisco — it’s hard to describe, but it involves peak health, high social vibrations, yoga and tea. Most of the coolest people I’ve met have been here, either residents or people at events /the tea lounge. A must see.

Amazing space filled with interesting people! A place to connect, heal, transform and collaborate. And capoeira classes with either Bill or Liz are challenging and fun! They have such great energy and offer a lot of support and encouragement to help you discover new ways to move your body! The sequences are so helpful in building up the confidence and comfort to play easily and naturally. The singing at the end of class is my personal favorite.

This review is for the bi-monthly open mic at the Center SF. I decided to go to the event with my band because of the very positive Unilocal reviews. People said that it was a friendly, welcoming place, and I had heard that it was a queer safe space. I ended up finding out that that was not really the case. I understand that the Center can’t decide who can and can’t perform something during the open mic, but my main issue was with the host of the first half of the event(who I assume was asked by the Center to perform.) She is a comedian who warmed up the crowd with parts of her own routine. A lot of her jokes were off-color references to abortion and sexuality, and she even managed to throw in a joke about the Holocaust and Nagasaki. I absolutely did not feel that I had found myself in a safe space. One particular joke was really vulgar about lesbians, and it made my friends and I feel very uncomfortable. It seemed like she was trying to shock the crowd with her descriptions of gay intimacy, which is very insulting to me. The room was small, and I think that this brand of comedy can kind of invite people to feel like they are allowed to find humor in someone’s sexual orientation, when normally they might not. I was really disappointed in my first impression of the Center. The host of the second half of the night seemed a lot more inviting and nice. I also thought that the performers for the most part were friendly and supportive.

I always leave The Center SF feeling lighter, nourished, and energized. The Center SF is a unique community space that is dedicated to providing a space for mindful events, classes, and more. I’ve been to dance events, open mics, and just low-key gatherings here. Each visit has always awakened inspiration and good vibes within me– which have carried me well into the rest of the week. I appreciate that The Center SF stays away from having alcohol at their events and instead you’ll find freshly made vegan bites, hot tea, and invigorating elixirs. The vibe of the space is always inviting and warm and even when I attend events solo– I always end up running into casual acquaintances or meeting exceptional people. I highly recommend that you stay on top of their calendar of events — since they’re constantly adding new dynamic events to their already impressive list of happenings. They’ve even just added a new Membership Based Tea Oasis. If you’re looking to take a break from the bar scene or just want to find a space where you can relax, be centered, and be around creative individuals — come to The Center SF. Trust.

This place is so inviting and beautiful. It’s a coop space for events, it houses many people, and it’s just super cool. It used to be a convent and church, I think. I recommend you visit this place for any of the amazing events they have. I was there last night for a Holistic Health Event. It was so sweet. The people were beautiful and loving and open and giving. I’ll be be back for sure.

Just had an amazing yoga experience with Austin Eufred at The Center. I live a few blocks away and this is an amazing neighborhood gem. Yoga classes are taught in a spacious, well-lit space downstairs, just look for the sign outside. Austin is an amazing, thoughtful and patient teacher. He teaches Tuesday/Thursday at 5 pm. Classes are donation based — all you need to know is… go to class!

I’m a regular at The Center’s Holistic Health Fair. The space is beautiful and spacious, allowing for large crowds. Lots of great, healthy food at the bar and friendly, attentive staff. I’m always excited when an event I’m going to is taking place here!

I’ve had so many incredible experiences at the Center SF, from top-notch Yoga classes, to one of the most amazing bi-weekly Open Mics I’ve ever attended, to group channeling sessions and EFT circles, incredible art and technology shows, musical events, and one of my favorites, the Holistic Health Saloon. It really is a treat to find out what will be happening there next, as the events are very well curated. The space is beautiful, warm, inviting and beautifully decorated, and the people I’ve gotten to know over the time I’ve spent there are remarkable, talented, and inspiring. This place truly feels like a hidden gem in the Lower Haight and I know I’ll keep going back for more.

The Center is such a lovely space with a huge variety of events and classes from yoga to art shows to Lovetech dance parties. The people who live in the collective upstairs are a really diverse bunch of sweethearts and go-getters and the event space reflects the same ambition and open mindedness. I highly recommend going to anything here because at the very least, it will be better than the ordinary.

I have been to a number of events at the Center SF over the last few years and have always enjoyed myself. My favorites are their open mic event«Ignite The Mic» and Holistic Health Saloon which is put on by an outside group. They also host a wide range of events from yoga and meditation classes and workshops, to artistic interactive art parties. The interior design, of the tea lounge and parlor feels nice and intimate. If you want it set up a specific way, Mikey is usually pretty flexible and has great insight and intuition on creating a space that caters to your needs. The movement studio boasts a large bamboo floor and is perfect for yoga, dance, and capoeira which I do there regularly. There is even a stage that can be set up there if your event requires it. They have offerings for kids as well. I know there are kids capoiera classes and I believe there is yoga for kids too. Upstairs they have a variety of offices for practitioners of a nice variety. Ayurvedic counseling, guided meditation, thai massage EFT, and life coaching all happen there. Located centrally in the Lower Haight, the center is really easy to get to. There is a 22 fillmore stop on the block, the 21 hayes is a block away, and the N — juda is just a short walk down the street. Sometimes food is offered at events at The Center, but if not, there are plenty of great options 2 blocks away on Haight St.

It has been such an amazing pleasure to experience The Center SF! I have been to numerous events in this space and can honestly say that each one leaves me feeling incredible, whether it’s a Holistic Health Saloon, yoga classes, capoeira classes, or their awesome open mic night, there is always something amazing happening. The space is well designed with nice vintage furniture, and beautiful art, so the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. All of that said, what really makes this space are the people involved, both in the residential collective above, and the larger community that filters in and out — this space is an example of what’s possible when we encourage and create mindful community together. LOVETHISPLACE!

This event space is a hidden gem in San Francisco! I have taken so many classes and workshops here ranging from Yoga, Mindful Capoeira, Meditation, Reiki, Massage, Dance, and I have been to a handful of partied here as well. What amazed me the most about The Center SF was the Conscious Living Arts Collective that is attached to it. The people here are so warm and inviting. They are an authentic community with hearts of gold and have only the best intentions for themselves and the surrounding world community and beyond. It is a real privilege and pleasure every time I walk into their space. I feel clarity, upliftment, and freedom when I am there. I really cannot wait for the next class!
