This was one of the places back in the day, the other being Laser City. Well today is 2012 and Laser City is long gone and this place should be joining them. Their selection of movies and music is bad and their equipment is cheap and overpriced.

Ive never really come here for rentals… and Ive never really purchased any moives or music from the store. The only thing I can say I like about this place is the fact taht have a quite a few old HK movie posters. They have the old Operation Condor or Police Story posters. they have Para Para Sakura. Love on a diet. and some other ones. Ive bought a few and I used to have them hung on my wall. when I look at them it reminds me when I was a kid getting so excited about watching jackie chan movies with my mom and cousins~

outdated and overprice rentals. the place is also full of AV mixed in with every available section in the whole entire store. you can find prono within the music album sections and movie sections. poorly organized, and the people who work there are«EHH, you fill in the blank». the only reason they have my business was because i used to live around there and it’s easy to get to compared to chinatown or other places

LOL remember the LD/laserdisc format? This was HUGE in the late 80s very early 90s in Hong Kong, Japan, and made its way into movie rental stores(especially in dense Chinese populations in places like Toronto where people could afford the LD machine). I’m guessing this is the laser part from Tam’s who I don’t think carry anymore LDs(if they did they blew them out and got rid of them), so now they do DVD rentals and sell some movies + HK/Taiwanese pop music. However their stock seems to never sell(old titles that I’ve seen age on the shelf with color fading, everytime I went, begging to be given a new home,…how can a CD insert color fade when it never sees daylight??), except maybe the pop bop titles. Maybe the store’s survival depends on rentals, but somehow it is never busy when I’m there looking at stuff.
