The sushi rice was over cooked and mushy. I had to take all of it off to eat my roll.

Disgusting. Went here with my family and we were the only people in the restaurant. The chicken was gristly and poor quality. The sushi looked like it had been sitting around for awhile.

returned as the 3rd street restaurant closed for good, and decided that might be better. Wow, what an error. Ordered tempura and vegetables and fried gyoza. Service was incredibly slow despite not being busy. After 25 minutes and three reminders that others had arrived after us and already finished food came. Tempura was shrinp only. Asked watress what happened and she said«oh, I forget to tell you we have no vegetables today. Breading was beer batter thick rather than thin tempura dressing. Fried gyoza were boiled and then so lightly fried on bottom they were just greasy and incedible. First time in my life I have ever stiffed a wattress and did pay for food, but felt I was being robbed. Defnitely not a place to eat EVER.

The WORST service ! We were ignored as the they proceeded to serve a patron that came in AFTER us. Needless to say we left. Refuse to spend money anywhere this rude.

A good stop for Ramen. Wish there was a spicy option. Clean, friendly. Great tea! Overall it was okay.

I used to go here with old friends and thought it was a pretty nice place. I remember having solid sushi and it was in a great part of town. I went here recently and the above two things WERE true. The service, however, makes me question who in their right minds would think they were able to run a business. The place really isn’t big, fitting maybe 20 – 25 people. Yet somehow their service took nearly an hour to go from sitting down to the food being served. A reminder this is Sushi: a dish that takes you a good 6 minutes to eat. The people next to me and my friend happened to have their food served first despite sitting down a good 20 minutes after us. When we finally got out checks, I noticed my bill had my roll listed as 2 $ more expensive than I recall seeing it on the menu. They said how it was dinner time and the dinner prices are more expensive. I retorted that it WAS lunch time when we sat down but it took the food so long that it was diner time by the time we got our damn food. He redid the bill 2 $ cheaper saying how he trusted me like he was some goddamn martyr for not overcharging me over crap service. No tip. Not coming back. The Sushi Bar niche is way too competitive to let such garbage service slide. If you’re in the area and want some sushi, just go to Tokyo express. At least there you know what to expect and can be in and out in 20 minutes.

Generally quick and reasonable value. They do great rolls and soups. Can be a bit hit or miss, if they are busy

The 1 one star was for just being open. The Saba was good and that was about it. I ordered a Oh My God Volcano roll. Nasty rice and the salmon skin that was supposed to be crispy was wet and sloppy. The scallop was supposed to be baked, it was just run over with the butane torch leaving a nasty aftertaste. Too top it off the entire roll was covered in three different sauces making for a giant mess. Never again!

Definitely not a fan. The service was OK and the atmosphere… well to be honest it was just empty(which should have been an indicator to leave since it was noon and no one else was here for lunch aside from me and my boyfriend), and it was warm that day so since there was no AC, they had this rotating fan blowing at me every 4 seconds… kinda odd. But so lets talk food. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box which came with miso soup, salad, the entrée and then 4 pieces of a california roll. –Salad: DISAPPOINTING. The lettuce was wilty, not just the texture, but the physical appearance was awful! And it was just straight up iceburg lettuce cut into chunks, even a sprinkling of carrots or anything! Just wilty wilty soggy lettuce. –Teriyaki Chicken: flavor was alright, but it just felt like someones leftovers thrown into a pan to get heated up real quick before serving me. And the california roll and miso soup were just«whatever»; neither blew my mind; satisfied my expectations; or starkly disappointed me. Overall, my experience was mundane and bit on the disappointing side. If you’re in the area, I would suggest just walking around the block a bit further to find somewhere else to check out.

Being from a small town in Wyoming and having limited access to sushi, I thought Sushi Club was fantastic. They had big sushi rolls, very flavorful and excellent, fast service. I would go again!

I needed something quick & this was the closest place. I ordered a California roll & unagi. The unagi was delicious, but the Cali roll was a tad warmer than I would have liked. The host & chef were pleasant & I was in & out in 10 minutes… In all fairness it was a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was only $ 10.76! Very reasonable. Is this my new favorite… no, but it was cute, clean & good.

I don’t know about you, but seeing(and hearing) a «sushi chef» trim his fingernails while behind the sushi bar is kind of one of the grossest things I’ve ever witnessed at a restaurant. And yes, I was in the middle of eating when I had to observe this. A little bit came back up. In all fairness, I think he did it over a small sink that’s between the main sushi-making area and the cash register, but still. Sorry. Never again. P.S: The sushi sucked too.

Surprised this place only has 2 stars. I went here and had a good time. I got the salmon teriyaki bento box, which was really good. The soup and salad that came with it was also good. I got an extra order of California rolls and they were fine the place is small, but has places to sit without being crowded. I would suggest you come here if you are in the area.

By far not the worst sushi I’ve ever had. We had a group and were wandering around, this place was a port in a storm. They took all 12 of us without an issue, even kept track of each order and billed separately. Impressive since most places pitch a fit, or simply won’t, it was nice. The owner(?) was very nice, very friendly. I might not go back, there’s certainly better sushi in San Francisco, but if in a pinch I might just stop in.

My flight arrived fairly late and this was the only place open on Christmas night and it was conveniently located next to our hotel. The service was a bit slow and it took the waitress awhile to get our water. I ordered the chicken bento box and it was pretty good. I also shared the ramen that they had and was a bit disappointed as there wasn’t too much flavor. I also tasted some of my friends Maki combo and it was a solid combination. Not sure if I would come back again.

We came in for lunch on a Saturday on a lark. There wasn’t much around and my partner wanted teriyaki. We grabbed a seat and were served promptly. He ordered some sort of chicken teriyaki and I picked out a vegetarian sushi roll. Food came out pretty quickly and overall was decent. There’s really no good nor bad, at least for the lunch we had. I’ve had better, but I’ve also had much worse. If you’re in the area and looking for sushi or quick Japanese for a decent price, this isn’t a bad option.

I usually don’t trust places under 3 stars but it wasn’t my pick for our lunch today… Right off the bat, it was busy for Dreamforce so I wasn’t expecting much in the way of service. It took about 15 minutes for the waitress to come and take our order in which we had to ask for some water. Oddly enough the glasses of water were huge so that was nice since they didn’t bother to refill them till we asked for the check. The sushi itself was not fresh and didn’t look appetizing at all. I wish I had just gone to Safeway.

My husband and I stopped by here for lunch — our ANNIVERSARY — only to leave super flabbergasted! I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll and my husband ordered the Maki Combo. Mine is SUPPOSEDTO come with tempura shrimp, cucumber and avocado — the avocado was nowhere to be found! I went up to the server(AFTER confirming with the menu that it was SUPPOSEDTO have avocado) and told her that they forgot to add it to my rolls. Her response was great — ‘Oh, I don’t know why they didn’t put the avocado in.’ She smiled and continued to look at me. WHATTT?! Lol. No apology. No attempt to fix the situation. But then replied, ‘I can give you some avocado.‘ Shocked, I sat down at the table and attempted to just eat the rest, ONLYTOFIND A PIECEOFPLASTIC on the roll I was about to eat! I promptly went back up to her and told her to take my dish off the bill. Not only did all of the above happen, the size was SUPER small and didn’t taste fresh… The server also took away our soup before we finished — without asking. We were trying to be optimistic and thought she might be giving us more, but nope. I’d give this place ZERO stars, but in the end we did get a chuckle out of this experience…

Ordered 4 rolls, 3 regular/standard rolls, than 1 specialty roll. They ALL were amazing. I do agree with other reviewers that the service wasn’t the greatest BUT the sushi made up for it. We got the COWBOY roll as our specialty one & it was our favorite. The kobe beef on top of it set it off!!! We couldn’t find a sushi spot by the mall so once we stumbled onto this place, we were happy.
