Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever came across in my entire existence. Wong is a gotdamn legend. Thanks for the good times Wong.

Not bad, I got a mocha with two shots it was the size of a tall at Starbucks. It’s one of those Asian like doughnut shots. It’s connected to a liquor store & has an ATM inside. They do take debit but there is a $ 5 minimum… Customer service was a bit slow, I could have left and life would have went on…

I am OBSESSED with their egg sandwiches. I always get the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had, but I can’t really figure out why. The owner makes them for me on this cute little electric pan, and he is probably one of the nicest people in existence. He always has this big smile on his face when customers come in. He and his wife(I’m guessing) are just genuinely sweet people. The convenience store portion is pretty standard. They actually have quite a big selection of wine, and beer and a good spread of liquor for pretty decent prices. Honestly, I really like coming here because the owners are just so nice. I like giving business to people like that. And seriously… try the egg sandwich :)

I’ve had their peach tea with tapioca and my friend had the thai iced tea with tapioca as well. Easily the worst such tea I’ve ever had(I’ve also tried my friend’s — even worse). I actually could not finish one of my most favorite drinks — that is a first.

Sunset strip café is an adjunct to a liquor store on the corner. there’s a service counter and a few tables for leisurely eating/reading/drinking… menu: standard sammies, coffee, smoothies, boba drinks, pastries… drink: «america’s best coffee, kona blend», L.(1.75) –coffee bland, no body, slightly harsh. drips: –flatscreen tuned to chinese tv –older lady does it all: thus reluctant to order anything. –service ok. low expectations here.

I dont know what these other Unilocalers are talking about but I love this place. I always drop in for a quick blt, pastrami or egg sandwhich and it is delicious. Im from hawaii so i cannot believe that a sandwhich can be so cheap AND taste good. Its really convenient from my house and the lady making the sandwhiches always remembers me and the extras i like on my sandwhich. There are a BILLION places to get Vietnamese sandwhiches just three blocks from this place so i, for one, like the fact that they dont make them at this store. They also make coffee and other drinks. Im a huge fan of these tasty, cheap sandwhiches.

This place is right by my house, so I stop in for booze and sandwiches all the time. $ 4.75 for an 8 in sub. Not too many choices but it’s a solid sando. The café only takes cash but you can pay for your sando with a card at the liquor store. They open late and close early, those bums.

the sandwichs are soooo good. i always get the salami and cheddar cheese one with everything on it because it is so tasty. coffee is 1.25 and that is a good deal, tastes fine too. they have a TV and a comfy sofa chair in the café. but do not try their thai tea, tried it and it just doesn’t taste right… i can’t explain the taste but just don’t try it.

I’m not sure if this place is consistent with their drinks. First time I ordered Banana Split, it looked white. The second and third time, they added strawberries so it turned pink. Avalanche is the only consistent drink that’s ok. It tastes like a mocha. Tapiocas are only $ 2.25? but are ehhh, some tapioca are hard & some soft. I’ve had taro, that was ok. Green tea tasted like Jasmine tea and I’m not really a jasmine tea kind of person & it tasted powdery. I actually think they use powders for all their tapioca since it’s so cheap. Smoothies are about $ 3.25 and they actually use real fruit for that. They must have some consistency since they actually have regulars. For their sandwiches, I think they use a George Foreman Grill. Whatever they put in there, it makes the entire café smell SOOOOGOOOOD.

Had completely forgotten about this place until the folks at Animal Connection recommended running in there for a snack. The Café portion is the sit-down fresh-made drink & deli area half of the corner liquor & food store. Full coffee line-up, blended drinks, grab-n-go drink /sandwich options along with traditional deli made-to-order sandwiches. Supplement whatever else you may need at the food & liquor half of the store. Great for picnic planning or during a commute. Parking a bit easier on that side of the street. Flat screen in the sitting area to watch the game…

This place was a gem in the middle of a giant, cumbersome mess. We took penance in this place during a long journey through a town that reminded me of silent hill. After aimlessly wandering towards the direction of ocean beach, tired and weary, we stumbled upon this place looking to fill ourselves with some sort of fuel.(I’d say the food was about 89 octane: p) The bubble tea here was quite standard, however the sandwiches were yum and the service was pleasurable. Sure, you can make a toasted turkey sandwich yourself. Go right ahead. It was just, for some odd reason the simplest food was not only inexpensive but just so wonderful. It’s like it was made with love, happiness and rainbows! —erk. over dramatized. Maybe it was just made with a smile. The owner was happy to chat with us, give directions and send us on our merry way. It was a positive experience in an array of negatives, thus i will remember it fondly. :]

I love this place! I’ve only had their sandwiches, and they are really good and made right in front of you. It’s nothing fancy, nor is it anything that you couldn’t do yourself, but they’re still delicious and reasonably priced. Also, it’s attached to a convenience store, so you can buy a soda, beer, toothpaste, ice cream bar, pretty much whatever you want while getting your sandwich. Again, it’s not fancy, but it’s oh so delicious.

Got lost in the sunset looking for a friend’s place, and I was feeling a mite peckish, so I stopped off here for a quick bite and a some google-mapping. Ordered a turkey sandwich from their deli, walked over to the attached convenience store and picked me up some shrimp chips– not a tasty sounding combination to you, I’m sure, but the choice options combined with a seating area with wi fi were a nice change from the usual scones and hyper-caffeinated standard café treats. Plus they have boba here, which is… weird. Whatever, you got lotsa choices here. One complaint– not that I was in a hurry, but that sandwich took a whole moon cycle to get made, and while it was decent, it wasn’t gestating to improve quality.

This place isn’t horrible, but I don’t suggest coming here often. I’ve only tried this place. two times? Strawberry tapioca and a hot chocolate. The strawberry tapioca was AWFULLY sweet, and after 10 minutes of sitting on a table, all the sugar gathers up on the top of the cup. I got hot chocolate only cause it was a real cold day and didn’t know what else to get. Rip-off for hot chocolate if you can just make it at home for alot less. I don’t suggesting the tapiocas. They give you little tapioca balls and the quality of the drink is low. My friends enjoy the cheeseburger, but I personally don’t like beef, so have never tried it. Smells good though. Packaged meat, in perfectly round patties. They purchase all their ingredients from Costco. Sometimes I even see them bringing in all their bulk items in from their car. Many things say ‘Kirkland Signature’, so that’s obviously Costco. You could just take a trip to Costco and save yourself lots of money. They even sell the cookies and pastries from Costco! The only three workers I’ve ever seen work there is this man, and two ladies. One lady is extremely nice and decently speedy while the other shorter, stubbier one is extremely slow. I don’t see the man in the café side much.

Love the name; it reminds me of something I’d see in some seedy part of Hollywood since I’ve never thought of SF’s Sunset district as having a Sunset Strip area. The café is connected to a seedy liquor store, how’s that for lowbrow? The area is sleepy and primarily residential. Plenty of liquor stores have delis and this is basically what Sunset Strip Café is, plus a little bit more. They’re nice enough to provide seating, TV, a restroom and even free wi-fi. Needless to say, it’s not really a cozy place but the amenities are there and they have cheap food as well. I wandered in looking for Asian sandwiches and/or snacks but they don’t have those. They have 3 sizes of sandwiches and a few meat options(turkey, pastrami, salami, roast beef, tuna), along with burgers, pearl tea(I’m guessing they use powdered mixes), bagels, pastries, milkshakes, and espresso drinks. I had a turkey sandwich which wasn’t bad but didn’t use the best meat or bread($ 3.45 for a 6 inch roll with your choice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, red onions, pickles, jalapenos, oil & vinegar, mayo and mustard). It was briefly toasted and made to order. The sliced turkey(Zacky Farms) seemed salty but it came with a nice amount of extras. I wish the menu was more interesting. It’s in such an Asian area with not many other businesses on Judah — why not make Asian sandwiches?
