Picture the moment: I am walking towards Market on 2^nd after an average day at work. All of a sudden, my food truck burrito lunch with extra tomatillo and a side of Cholula begins to stir. As my lower intestine convulses from the intense heat, it dawns on me that I will not survive a bus trip back to the Inner Richmond. Desperation fills my thoughts as I search wildly for any sign of salvation. Then, as if by holy intervention, that familiar green siren fills my vision. A fully equipped Starbucks. «That’ll do,» I thought to myself as the pain continued to spread through my lower abdomen.
Stumbling inside, I cast a quick glance at the wares in front of the cash register. Too late for coffee. Too unhealthy to eat a banana bread before dinner. With a dejected look on my face, I waddle up to the barista. To this day I regret that I didn’t catch his name, but I can tell you that he was tall, dark, handsome, and had a knowing glint in his eye that belied a sense of morals and professionalism that even the most senior of Starbucks employees strive their entire lives to attain. I halfheartedly grab a Kind granola bar and tilt my head in his general direction. «I’ll be honest, I just need to use the bathroom,» I gasp. «I’ll just go with this for today-​«
“No, you’re good,» he says smiling. «Go right ahead».
Albus Dumbledore himself would be hard-​pressed to come up with more magic words. «Thank you,» I exhale in extreme gratitude, before beelining for the awaiting restroom with clear purpose etched on my visage.
What happened next needs no recounting, but suffice it to say that this Starbucks has best-​in-​class customer service and the cleanest facilities one could ask for. I shouldn’t have to comment on the quality of their food or coffee since that’s pretty much the same anywhere. Next time you crave a coffee or need some sweet relief around the area of 2^nd and market, consider stopping by this establishment and let them know that they are wonderful people.

A very nice spot for a Starbucks Coffee shop indeed. Getting that quick cup of coffee while waiting for the bus has made easy. A bus stop for routes 10 Townsend and 12 Folsom /​Pacific is right outside.
I was craving for a Bacon & Gouda Breakfast Sandwich with a Venti Vanilla Latte (Iced) right after coming out of 24 Hour Fitness. The Venti Vanilla Latte is one menu item that keeps me returning to Starbucks.
Some customers usually come in and order their items to go. If you seek a spot to sip on coffee and munch on a pastry, there are a few seats available. Baristas on duty were friendly and cheerful when I came in this afternoon. Overall, good first experience here. I can always count on Starbucks with a store nearby when I need a quick cup of coffee.

Forgot about my drink or just decided to make it after this woman came in with a 5 drink order. Asked them if they forgot, received attitude in return. ONE of the three were actually making drinks, the other two were talking. Waited 12 minutes with only 3 customers (including me) on a Sunday morning at 8:20. Ridiculous.

Very busy in the morning, but this location does a great job at getting the orders out quickly. There could be a line of 10 people, but my entire time when I step in the door until I leave will be less than 8 minutes. Not bad compared to the other locations in the area. I can’t blame them for being busy and they don’t let their morning rush turn away customers. I did that once to go to another Starbucks and I regretted it.

I would rate this as an average Starbucks. If you’re trying to get a drink to go, I highly suggest downloading the Starbucks app and placing an order through it because the line here can get really long.
This Starbucks also has a small area to sit down and do work. It could also get really noisy in here so be aware.

Rude, ratchet-​ass employees must be upset because there missing the game because I didn’t not feel warm and fuzzy right now excuse the hell out of me for coming inside near closing.

Love love love this Starbucks! Everyone knows my drink and sometimes it’s done before I even get to the register! Danette is awesome barista she’s the one who has everyone drinks memorized!

Closes way too early. This Starbucks is a joke. It’s not actually a Starbucks. It’s a hotel owned coffee shop that uses the Starbucks name. They don’t take that silly ass rewards card here and they serve the usual burnt ass Starbucks signature coffee.

Love this starbucks! I am a student at a university a few blocks from there and I love going to this coffee shop because the staff is extremely friendly and their beverages are always well done! When I get there the staff usually recognize me and know exactly what I want. I love the service there! Good place to hang out too, not too crowded!

i hate this starbucks! I try to avoid it at ALL COST, BUT when I need coffee ASAP and dont have time to go to the one on new montgomery im forced to come here… the morning shift crew always look like they unhappy to be employed. –_​_​_​– mean you got a job that pays the bills right? yea granted might not be what you wanted to do but u get a check that pays the bills then FAKE BEING HAPPY. Angel is an a$$hole he always look like the customers like they making his job hard or something. I just asked for a dark roast coffee. its premade all u do is pour it in the cup. DONT EVER ASK FOR EXTRA ANYTHING cause they wont give it to you and when you tell them to put extra they ROLL THEY EYES like Danni does. like that extra caramel or whatever just came outta her paycheck. and no dont tell me to «next time tell the cashier’ cause GIRL ITS SAYS xxx CARAMEL ON THE CUP. they need a customer service training class or something. LOOK HAPPY PEOPLE YOUR JOB COULD BE A LOT WORST.

Ugh, wtf. I dont write. much reviews, but this one I gotta rant about. There was pretty much no line. I gave them a recipe, and they didnt have to rush or anything, so I expected a good drink like every other Starbucks I goto. oh was I wrong. was way too sweet. forgot some stuff in the recipe. you didnt even add any java chips :(thats my fav part in the drink. sigh. if you have time on your hands, use it to make a good drink instead of doing a rush job for free time.

Not too crowded, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating and good location. Of all the times I have been here, there have always been seating available. Love this place!

This has to be my favorite Starbucks in San Francisco! All the employees are charming and I never have to wait in a long line because they’re all pretty fast. Every drink I order tastes delicious so I don’t really understand why there are so many bad reviews.

Made the mistake of stopping at this location, I’ve never seen so many baristas and clerks behind the counter in such a small store. Nevertheless they all seemed oblivious to the actual customers — more infatuated with each other. A long sluggish line, it was because they were so slow that you have to RUSH afterwards. Clerk was impersonal, didn’t ask my name, didn’t offer a receipt.

This Starbuckers is right near my office but I avoid it like it smells bad. If you go here, you can expect:
Snotty servers
Your order getting mixed up (3 out of 4 times … Seriously?!)
Busyness
There are plenty of Starbucks near by. Go to one of those instead. Or Peets coffee. Or coffee bean. They’ll all be better than this place.

I think that I’m going to be spending a lot of time here. The staff seems nice and the store is always clean. I haven’t had to stand in any long lines either so hopefully it isn’t really busy! I like it!

Everyday before I head to work, I stop by this Starbucks. Very small location, but the morning crew here is great! They’re fun to talk to, ask how your morning was, always smiling and a few of them even remembered my name/​order!

You get 5 stars and a story:
Last Thursday I was having a terrible day at work. I felt lousy and decided to head over to Starbucks on my lunch break. I went up to the counter and there was this enthusiastic tall black man wearing glasses and was probably around 50 or so. He immediately made me feel a little less crappy. I ordered a tall carmel apple spice and a birthday cake pop and reached into my purse and had a minor freak out when my wallet wasn’t there. I just kept saying «oh my god, I don’t know where my wallet is, I’m so sorry.» He then responded, saying he would buy it for me because I had an honest face. I was so in shock and I told him I would be right back in there to pay him for it. He was so incredibly kind and I hope Starbucks sees this and understands what a great man they have working at this locations. Truly above and beyond.

This is a small location, with only a dozen seats (a loveseat with small coffee table, a few chairs and tables for three or four, and one high table with stools). It feels very cozy actually. And, it did not seem to get as crowded as any of the nearby cafes. I think people just overlook it on their way to wherever — this part of Second St gets a lot of foot traffic… or maybe this location is just efficient.
The view out into Second St is good for people-​watching, and a quiet escape from the bustling. Surprisingly, my first time going here after working in the area for over two years!

This has got to be one of the most efficient Starbucks that I have gone to. It’s small compared to some other Starbucks around, but the charm about this place is it’s quick. There’s one line going in that takes around 5 minutes to order. Then the drinks comes out quickly also. The staff here are really friendly and give off a nice welcoming atmosphere.
What’s there to not like about it? Friendly staff. In and out fast coffee. Love it!
