Espresso Subito

A friend recommended their Nutella Latte, which brought back a wave of nostalgia to my college days, when I would actually carry a jar of Nutella to a barista I knew so that she would make one for me…
Please don’t judge me, I was sort of caught up in that Nutella craze back in the day, okay?
ANYWAY, that’s what I ran to this truck for, and I was not disappointed. Oddly enough, it wasn’t too sweet for the duration of the drink, only getting a little sweeter near the bottom as most of the Nutella accumulated there. Rather than it being a full-​on sweet concoction like, oh I don’t know, some caramel Frappucino from Starbucks, this still had strong hints of espresso in it. I loved it.
I was also pleasantly surprised that they offer free biscotti while waiting for your drink to be made, which is awesome. I’ll definitely come running back here soon!

If you like Hazelnuts like I do. You will love this coffee truck!!! They serve all kinds of coffee. I oped for the Nutella latte because I FREAKING love Nutella okay?!
I went in not having very high expectations, but left amazed! The bottom gets to be a bit sweet. All I do is add a bit of Peet’s work & bam all fixed.
Gosh I can’t stop taking about this drink. I swear I thought I tasted actual hazelnuts in there.
Just FYI– they we’ll be close 4÷6−4÷14 & will reopen ⁴⁄₁₅.

Two days out of the week Espresso Subito is next to my office on California and Front. 3 days out of the week they are over here. It’s just not fair. So some days, my coworkers and I are so committed to the Nutella latte, we walk about 40m round trip to Espresso Subito but these are only days when our bosses aren’t around… more typical in summer and during the holidays.
You are probably asking why don’t I just go to Sbucks or Petes? In response to that I would say:
1. Did you know that Starbucks is stuck in 2010 and doesn’t have almond milk? instead they have soy milk causing my lactose intolerant male friends to grow boobies
and
2. Did you know how much of the lives of my Petes baristas I know from overhearing their conversations… More than I really want to.

A weekly staple! Who looks forward to Mondays??? The coffee from here makes starting the week worthwhile. The nutella latte is terrific and who can turn down free biscotti while you wait? Consistently a great cup of coffee served by friendly barristas! If you see this truck take a moment and sip some heaven!

Walked by several times, finally stopped today. Guy was very friendly and no line = no waiting. Got an Americano in a small cup. While he was preparing it, set a big tub of biscotti in the window for me to help myself… in case the animal crackers and Trader Joe’s chocolate covered espresso beans on the counter outside the window weren’t enough. Heck yea… espresso drink and munchies!
