DONOTUSETHISSTOREIFYOUUSE A DEBIT/CREDIT CARD!!! Stopped by the store on my way to volunteer up the street, and found out they applied a $ 1.75 surcharge because I used my Mastercard(for the $ 6 purchase), even though it is illegal in CA to apply a surcharge on a mastercard or visa credit/debit card if paying with them rather than cash!!! I have found this is a rampant problem in many smaller(in)convienience stores, though the fee Simones tried to charge is much higher than most try to get away with(and it is apparently routine practice, as there is a sign near the register stating they are going to do it!!!) If you experience this problem with them, I’d highly recommend letting Mastercard know of the problem as the fee can be reversed by the company. Know you’re rights!!!

Okay. A-OK in my book. The Simone Mini Market has won me back over, but I will not ever again use my card here, and perhaps I should be more wary in general about where use it. Mary, and her son Mike(I think it was Mike) were both very helpful, and understanding when I contacted them about the overcharge, and the reimbursement not appearing in my account(which was because it was a debit transaction, and a reimbursement was not possible). Mary advised her son Mike to write a check, which I was able to pick it up in person the very next evening, and I even purchased another tall can1 And the check cleared, and we all drank happily in the Tenderloin, and hopefully for ever after. The End.

dude dude dude… when i’m walking down to work in the morning, this is the only place to buy stoges when i’m running low. dude that’s there in the mornings with silver hair hooks it up with a .50 cent discount on a pack. i don’t know if it’s because i assisted him with his workers’ comp case, or if he does that for everyone. whatever you do, if you buy stoges from here, DONOTOPENTHEPACKINFRONTOFTHESTORE. opening a pack of cigs in front of the store is like a big alarm going off that you can’t hear that tells all the homeless and crackheads in the area that you have spare cigarettes… they will flock to you like pigeons to an old lady throwing out day-old bread… trust.
