Siberia

I need to talk to the management of this club. The music has been unreasonably loud AFTER HOURS both on Christmas Eve and tonight. I hate to file noise complaints and/​or tarnish a reputation on Unilocal,but despite our neighborhood meeting the management never gave us any contact information like they were supposed to, and there is NO contact information listed other than a phone number which is actually a fax line.
I encourage Unilocal readers to avoid this club in support of a fellow Unilocaler who has not been treated well by the management of this club. There are a lot of clubs who know how to be good neighbors, and I encourage you to go there until Siberia gets its act together.

The vodka was delicious. Good pours the bartender knew what they were doing. The music was a little too loud but overall nice and new

Raged here one time with some frothable myrtles (hot chicks). But there werent many other people. The DJ was bompen some sick Hellish Electro too. Go here. I dont know what days its open though. i went on a saturday.

It’s unfortunate that the first reviewer had such a poor experience at Siberia. I think I was there the same Saturday and I had no issue with the guestlist around 11pm.
That being said, the bar/​club was pretty cool inside, and there was a really good mix of people and ages. I can’t comment on the drinks because I was on antibiotics so no alcohol for me. The sound system was the shit and there was a really cool and huge visualizer screen behind the DJ that night (Donovan who is pretty well known and used to DJ weekly at Slide).
I got to speak the sound engineer who set up the crazy speakers and apparently it’s a 10.8 multichannel sound system modeled after a listening room at Stanford (I have no idea what that meant). BUT, I could feel the bass and still have a conversation without yelling– so that was super awesome!
The only major issue I had was that the bathrooms were sub-​par, but I heard they are going to or have renovated that.

I like House music, a good dance vibe, and a great crowd.
As a regular at Vessel, Harlot, Supperclub, Slide and other above average hotspots, I tend to get on nearly everyone’s guestlist and hence waltz in to enjoy the club for it’s music and it’s liquids. I don’t make my way to S.F. from the East Bay to brush up on my negotiation skills or my quick reflex wallet-​opening skills.
That being said, it was natural that I was confirmed multiple times for the guestlist here. AND, being that this place isn’t in Vegas or Hollywood or Miami — it’s actually in a dumpy section of SOMA — I figured my friend and I would be fine. WRONG!
When we strolled up to the EMPTY line-​less club around 11:15 on Saturday night, we were asked if we were on the «special list.» In fact, as others strolled up to the line, they were asked the same question. WHAT LIST? No one knew what the EFF the bouncers or the hosts were talking about. Needless to say they wouldn’t even bother looking at one of the lists we were all telling them about. I could even see the list in the hostess’ hand — the list that said we were all good ’til midnight. But she refused to even take a peak at it.
Naturally the girls rolled right in (the least they could do) and then they wanted to charge the rest of us $ 20!!! Do they have naked women in there or something? Do I get a free shot when I get in? WTF — pay $ 20 for some local DJs I’ve never heard of, then be overcharged for potentially garbage drinks? Who’s gonna spend money to get into a place NO ONE has ever been in before??? I’d rather go to Vessel and see a world renowned DJ and get good drinks, in a nicer neighborhood — FOR FREE! (and that’s just what we did)
The other 8 guys and girls in the line walked away as well.
If you «think» you are going to stroll up to this place and be on the guestlist — DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. I don’t care who «confirms» you. Your money and your time is better spent at the more well known, less shady clubs in San Francisco.
And for you EAST BAYers, definitely don’t waste your time!
My recommendations are to check out those small clubs mentioned above. Great atmosphere, good drinks and a great crowd.
