First off, I have been here so many times and I loved it but after this last visit, I really don’t see myself coming anymore. I live in the Outer Sunset so I make the trek because the guac is amazing(and it still and forever will be my favorite guac in the city) so this is hard to write. My boyfriend and I came and long story short — we waited 1 hour to place our order. We tried to get our waitresses attention a lot — people who came before us got their food first. It wasn’t crowded — lots of tables were open. Luckily it was so nice out. My boyfriend got his drink and 20 minutes later I still didn’t have mine my boyfriend had to remind the waitress.(we were charged for two of my drinks so we had to bring that up to the waitress who fixed it). She was nice but this was just not okay to wait that long and if we didn’t say can we pleassssssse order now we would have waited longer. My boyfriend wasn’t impressed with his meal, and he will eat anything. We were really just bummed when we left as Sabrosa was our FAVORITE spot in SF. It was just overall a really awkward experience and our bill wasn’t cheap which makes me upset. The service was not worth what we paid. I don’t know what happened here :(

I heard about this place from some friends and decided to check it out on super bowl weekend. Of course being super bowl every where was packed. The manager Joe was amazing! Even though they were busy & packed he found us a table and sat us down. He continued to stop by and check on how everything was going. My cousin and I were glad we stopped by here! The food was great and the service was amazing!

Some of the worst food ever. Meatballs were like something from Costco. Hard and very old tasting. Made me and companion sick. Service was very good. Atmosphere is nice, but music was too loud. Won’t return, too many other great places in that area.

This place is amazing! I have to say the food is amazing but this service is top notch. I am not one to hype places unless it is well deserved. Joe and Bree Ann are amazing so I would ask for them. If you have not been to this place then make it happen.

Epically slow service. We waited 30 minutes for drinks, an hour to order, and an hour for the food to arrive. Shocking, considering the menu is pretty much street style tacos and stripped down salads. I’d like to say the service was slow because it was busy, but it wasn’t. I’m pretty shocked.

The guacamole was decent. The highlight was that it had pomegranate seeds in it. Had an epazote quesadilla. It did not do my peoples’ food justice. I love the Marina, but this spot evokes everything that’s wrong with the Marina. Frat boys, girls pretending to not be as smart as they are, guys flexing, girls scouting for the fattest wallet. Barf. Out. Disappointed. Shall not return.

Not bad! But not crazy good either. Just your run of the mill, upscale Mexican spot. It took us a while to get waited on at first since we took a spot outside and the portions were pretty small for the money we paid(especially their pitchers of drinks seemed small). Their soup is good and I had the taquitos and those weren’t bad either. I probably won’t be back on my own accord but I would done here again with a group.

Second night here. Dinner first night was amazing. Great service and very cute waitress. Loved our family. of 9 and never kept us waiting. Tonight on Monday night. Was slow but Slater the bartender and manager were awrsome. Best margaritas I have ever had. All natural and no Goss simple syrup. Sangria my wife had and loved as well. Come here if ur local. We from San Diego staying at close hotel and this place is off the hook. Thank u and see u tomorrow night again for my night cap. By the way. Slater and the manager are awesome!

It’s more of a bar than it is a place to eat. I went with my parents, husband, and friend. We used the check-in offer and got the free salsa trio. The salsas were not good so I am really glad we didn’t pay for them. We also ordered the guac and chips as an appetzer but the guac tasted like it came from a prepackaged container with nothing added. I wasn’t a fan. I ordered the enchiladas with the verde sauce which was actually pretty good. My mom got the veggie quesadillas which she she enjoyed as well. Everyone else was not a fan of their meal. They did, however, make very strong margaritas which was a plus. The waitress was awful. It was like she didn’t want to give us the time of day since we weren’t typical Marina dudes. The place wasn’t even crowded — it was 5:30pm on a Saturday. Overall, it wasn’t a horrible experience but I won’t be going back.

I didn’t get a chance to try the food here, since I already ate. I came here with a small group for drinks on a Friday night. Our table had the pleasure of being helped by Shawn… at least I think that was his name. Very attentive young man. Suggestive, helpful… just an awesome person. Got our drinks on a timely basis and frequently checked up on us. I obviously had a great night, since I can’t even seem to remember the drinks I got… but I do remember them being good! Will be back to visit this place

I was thrilled when a new mexican restaurant Sabrosa opened in early 2014 in the Marina district of San Francisco. Not only because I’m a huge Mexican food lover(so much that I started a Mexican Dinner Club, M.D.C.) but also since after my first visit I saw what a great Bar Sabrosa has. The bar alone takes up about 1⁄3 of the restaurant and has a great vibe and scene for drinks or light bites. There’s something about a great over sized bar in a restaurant that I like that excites me. Probably since I know I’ll frequent the restaurant that much more often to have a drink or two at the bar. Sure enough, a week after visiting Sabrosa for dinner I was back for a Friday Happy Hour with a friend. The Happy Hour was great, special drink and food deals with a great scene at reasonable happy hour prices! 3200 Fillmore St, San Francisco, CA94123.(415) 638‑6500. Thanks for checking out my post I hope you enjoy dining with The JetSetting Fashionista. Emily

2 stars, but giving 3 because it was a bday and it was fun just because of that. $ 14 for 3MINI tacos? :( Awful margarita ?? Can’t remember which one sorry :( On the plus side, our waitress was great and did her best trying to split up our bill. Drinks took foreverrrrr to come out, I even read reviews thinking«these people are complainers, how can it be THAT slow??» … Well it was, lol. They weren’t too busy, either. All in all, not bad. Might go back if I’m asked to. Won’t go on my own.

It got weird right off the bat when our waiter, Jeff(who requested I include his name in the review), asked us to write a Unilocal review(um… awkward?) I joked back that I would write a review if we got a Build-Your-Own Mimosa on the house. Note: I WASJOKINGANDBOTHPARTIESLAUGHED, acknowledging that I was, in fact, joking. Jeff said that he could not get us mimosas on the house but he could get us a dessert on the house. I would not be who I am today if I didn’t accept every free dessert that has ever come my way so I replied, «YESPLEASEFREEDESSERTOFCOURSEWEWOULDLOVE.» Speaking English gets difficult when free desserts are being discussed. Flash forward 10 min: Jeff appears with a bottle of champagne and a variety of juices, the components of a Build-Your-Own-Mimosa. My friend asks, «Oh, so our free dessert IS the mimosa?!» Jeff does not respond other than a smirk as he pops open the champagne and pours us each a glass. So… yes? We huddled around our«free» mimosas thinking Jeff did not respond because we were supposed to keep it on the down-low that we just got mimosas on the house. Flash forward another 10 min: we have killed the mimosas. Jeff appears with a small dessert dish and plops it down on our table. Huh? We were so confused, and not just because we were buzzing off the mimosas. If he is giving us a dessert, that means he must be charging us for the mimosas that we did NOT explicitly order. Did we just get tricked into ordering something we didn’t want? Our bill confirmed that we had been charged for the mimosas which were $ 40. UHWHAT. We felt like our waiter had knowingly misled us into thinking we were getting treated nicely when he was really just trying to up-sell us. It was dishonest and we felt taken advantage of. We should have confronted them about the bill but we were already embarrassed and we had finished the champagne, under the pretense that it was on the house. We knew that if we tried to argue the bill that they would probably tell us we shouldn’t have drank it. I don’t even remember what food I ordered or if it was anything special because the whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. There are so many brunch places to choose from that have the exact menu as Sabrosa(or better) and still manage to provide honest service. I will not be back.

I’ve tried Sabrosa for Taco Tuesday months ago: there are several big tables so all 6 of us could fit in. The service was fast and friendly, tacos came out really good!!! I came there the other Sunday and Sabrosa proved to be amazing again. We had salads which are coming big and the ingredients are quite creative. Outside seating is a plus:) There is a huge screen to watch a game, but I want to point out that the music there is really good, so whoever picks up the songs, you guys are doing a great job:)

Nice outdoor seating on a tree shaded street. The sopa de pollo was really really salty. I also had a hamburger– very tasty with sautéed onions and aoli. Margs were tasty and service was prompt– our waitress kept checking to ensure we were ok with drinks which was clutch. Overall pleasant experience. Ambiance nice and relaxed, drinks good, food decent if overpriced($ 13 for a soup is pretty steep).

The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star instead of the 1 star is because the food was actually pretty tasty, but everything else about this restaurant was pretty terrible. The inside is very loud and noisy and they play the music pretty loud, causing you the need to talk over if you want to have a conversation. Hey, if your into that sort of thing then do it. But that is not why I am rating this so low. Showed up around 12:30 on a Sunday morning, it looks like the brunch crowd was just starting to leave, but they were at about 75% capacity. We sat down and after we ordered drinks it took way longer for my beer to be brought to me than it should have. Once our waitress finally took our order it must have been around 12:50. Our food came out at 1:18. 30 minutes to prepare a breakfast burrito is ludacris!!! The worst part is the waitress did not come and check on us while we were waiting to let us know the food is going to take a while. Then when the burrito finally arrived, as soon as I picked it up, it fell apart all over the plate. It tasted pretty good(hence my 2 star review). Then to top it all of the waitress never came over and asked how the meal was and if I needed anything else. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were understaffed that morning, and I am willing to return to try it again. But being understaffed is not an excuse, that/s the job of management to accurately forecast demand. Even being short staffed the lack of care and service from the waitress and the kitchen was pretty awful.

A bar that has happy hour every day from 4−7pm? I’m sold! I’m surprised there weren’t more people here during happy hour. The best thing on their happy hour menu is the Sabrosa Especial. For $ 10 you get a beer, a tequila shot, and a taco! I love that it comes with a taco. You can choose what kind of beer you want and which meat you want in your taco. I had the carne asada and carnitas and they were both good. I probably had at least 3 Sabrosa Especials. The quesadilla was also good and was served piping hot. I came on a Saturday afternoon and since it’s not very busy you can easily get a table and service is fast. Our waiter was very patient with us even though we were probably pretty rowdy, especially after 3 rounds of the Sabrosa Especial. :) Overall, our group had a great time here and service was great!

My friends and I came here on a Saturday for brunch as a group of 6. Three of them arrived about half an hour early which also happened to be half an hour before the place even opened. Our server was still kind enough to open the doors early and let them sit while they waited for us. We chatted for a while after arriving before actually ordering. I got a Grenada(pomegranate soda) and something(couldn’t pronounce the name then so I definitely can’t remember the name now) that was fried pasta topped with shrimp, avocado, an egg, and some cheese crumbles. The soda was okay, normal house soda I suppose. The fried pasta was actually a nice touch and really good. I finished it all. Considering the place was pretty slow for the first part, service and the food came out pretty slow. Our waitress was very friendly though! We sat for a while after eating and our waitress was chill about it. Overall it was a decent brunch, if not a little pricey and slow.

I can really only comment on the drinks, but I think I have another favorite SF bar. I somehow meandered into Sabrosa after spending some time at Jaxon’s, the bar across the street. Sabrosa had a few customers, but it was not crowded or loud; the décor was pleasant with a spacious layout. I found a nice pair of bar seats and was immediately greeted and presented with a drink menu(+1 in my mind). There were several spirits that I have never heard of before so I just asked the bartender, Adrian, for Sabrosa’s or his specialty drink. Moments later, I was presented with the Macho, a salt rimmed fiery drink made with just the right amount of jalapeño. For those who understand, it burned so good… I chatted with Adrian a couple times, not only was he friendly(providing my friend and I both a cup of water along with our first drink), he was also quite knowledgeable about the drinks on the menu– he even knew the history and shared some trivia about the spirits used. For me, this speaks volumes to the quality of the bar. This is a great place to wind down before calling it a night. Without a doubt, I am a fan and will be back to try the food(the guac looks amazing), and of course more of the booze as well.
