–This is for Revamp Wardrobe Consulting.- Beth Berliner is amazing! She truly does revamp your wardrobe, taking away things you know you shouldn’t keep and showing you how to create a dozen new looks with what you have or easily add-on to mix and match and layer and pull together new looks. She gives you photos to remember your new outfits and lists for what to purchase down the road for easy additions to build your wardrobe as you go. Great for gals on a budget; Beth will save you money by using what you have in new ways. She can take any future event that you’re stressed about and pull together your outfits so you can go with confidence and relax. She will put you at ease with any of your clothing concerns. Thanks so much, Beth! You are like having that one-of-a-kind(younger!) sister who knows clothes and has all the answers to, «What should I wear?»

For everyone who’s ever felt defeated by their own closet there is Beth Berliner — a truly masterful, creative, and genuinely nice stylist. I just spent an afternoon with her and during that time she helped me get rid of an embarrassing number of unflattering clothes and piece together a multitude of stylish outfits I didn’t know I had. She also taught me the basics of dressing well — something that has eluded me for way too long. Along the way she took notes and by the end of our visit I had a shopping list of items I can really use plus suggestions for where to find them and what specific brands would look good on me. I also have photos she took of various outfits we put together so I can refer to them in the future. And guess what — this kind of makeover, or «upgrade» as Beth prefers to call it, doesn’t have to be expensive. I’ve been thinking of doing this for years and am so glad I did! Now I can stop wasting money on shoes that look terrible, dresses that hang funny, or too-wide shirts that do nothing for my figure. Plus I have lots more things to wear — even though I got rid of lots of clothes. Thank you Beth! You’re the best. PS There are two Revamps in San Francisco. This is for personal shopping — it’s not the hair salon.

Short version– Best hair experience of my life. Just go here and stop wasting time reading reviews. Long version– Here’s what I want from a stylist: * Someone I can implicitly trust who is professional, highly skilled, and will take the lead and make recommendations for what to do with my hair. I will never be the person that brings in a picture of what I want. I’m not the artist — the stylist is. * Related to above: someone who will take into consideration my hair texture/color/movement, facial features, maintenance skill level, personal style, etc. I want to know why we’re doing what we’re doing. * Someone who will put me at ease. I get some Salon Anxiety™, probably from too many uppity salon experiences where I felt belittled and my wallet violated. * Guidance on how to tame this mane and make my new style work. I’m the type of person that reads owner’s manuals and to me a hair cut is no different. Shannon was all of these things. Confidently proud of his craft with every reason to be and simultaneously laid back and humble. He also wasn’t pushy with the products, which I really respected. Just showed me what would help achieve the looks we had talked about. I could go on and on, but really just stop looking around and go here. There are only four or five chairs in the whole place(another reason to love it, imo!), so book waaaay in advance.

I liked this place… very laid back and comfortable. LaReina cut my hair and did a good job. I have to be honest that the price was a bit much for the cut itself. I also had to wait 25 minutes to be seen… but I was in no hurry. Overall, I rate this place a 4.

I am super-picky about my hair. I just moved from LA where I had a killer stylist in Echo Park — Alice @ Lucas, and was dreading the thought of finding someone to cut my hair. Unilocal to the rescue, again! Tess was awesome. Went to the shop on a Sunday(yeah!) and had a relaxing cut. Laid-back staff and vibe. No rushing. My hair was cut expertly and to my requested style. The search ends here.

After an unfortunate hair cut that left me looking like Rod Stewart(let’s just say my thick red hair had more layers than a 7 layer burrito dip) I went to Tess to see if she could work a miracle and fix it. She fixed it, styled it and taught me some tricks to make the curls softer. She is a miracle worker and I feel pretty again. Thank you, Tess. You are a pro.

Moved here from Portland 1 month ago, and found the reviews intriguing — Tess totally lived up to the hype. Never have I had a hairstylist ask me so much about my hair and my preferences, or had anyone talk me through what they were doing as they were doing it, and why. Super convenient from Muni, too! Highly recommended, especially for those new to the city and still mourning the loss of a great stylist in their former town.

Beth is the best therapy there is… I can dress myself pretty well, BUT the money and time I waste by not shopping smartly is ridiculous. Do you walk into your closet often and feel guilty to see EVERYTHING you never wear because you do not know how to incorporate it into an outfit or that you are missing a piece to complete an outfit or that it should of been given away 10 years ago. Beth has changed all of that for me! With a little bit of time, Beth helped me get rid of articles of clothing, make COMPLETE outfits and list the missing staples to complete other outfits. She made it easy, fun and cathartic. Thank you BETH!!!
