SF used to be a creative town, but that’s gone, and what’s left between Google buses is this show.

Wow, what a terrible experience with Red Hots Burlesque. Myself and three of my girlfriends traveled from Denver to San Francisco for our friends birthday and were very excited to have a fun night watching some burlesque. I purchased a living social deal for $ 50 for 4VIP tickets to a Wednesday night show. It clearly states on the Living Social fine print that reservations are required and to call or email to set that up. I called and spoke with Dotty to make our reservation for their show on August 12th and she was very rude from the get go. After informing her that I had the Living Social, she immediately gave me attitude and said they didn’t have any such deal. I explained to her that I literally had just bought it and called the number from the deal itself. Here’s the link that shows that the deal is indeed real and that it’s still being sold, . She told me we would just have to show up early to make sure we could get seats. That made no sense to me since it states that there is reserved seating for VIP and to make a reservation to hold them. I decided to email Red Hots Burlesque after that conversation with a copy of my living social and never got any kind of response. Once we arrived in San Francisco I called and spoke with Dotty again to make sure we had seats since I had called and emailed to set this up and still had to confirmation of our reservation. Again she was very rude and I was told that she didn’t need any more phone calls or emails from me and that I had to show up early so she could have proof that we actually had a Living Social deal! I’m not exactly sure why the email with the copy of my deal was not enough, but she refused to make a reservation for us. After discussing this with her on Wednesday and again getting a bad attitude my friends and I decided just not go to the show and find something else to do instead. I contacted Living Social and got a refund and informed them of how unprofessional and rude Dotty was and that they may want to stop allowing them to sell these deals. Being a business owner myself I’m shocked by the treatment I was given and will never give Red Hots Burlesque my business!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the show very much. Was no Las Vegas level professional show, but was not expecting that. The bar is nice, the drinks great and the deal available on Unilocal made it a real bargain. UPDATE: I just re-read my review and thought it was a little lack-luster. We enjoyed the performances and the hosts very very much! Very nice people and very inspiring! I’m so glad we went. it was a highlight of our trip to SF! Keep up the good work!

The show was so much fun!!! It was worth the travel from the Santa Cruz area, very much so. I can’t wait to come back again. The performers had such great energy and crowd was energetic and responsive while still being respectful so it didn’t get squicky like some sexy shows sadly have to deal with. My partner and I were properly jazzed up after the evening :)

One of the best burlesque shows I’ve seen. They’re so funny and talented. I didn’t expect to laugh my tits off, but I totally did. I also loved that they had different body types and it was just delightful to watch.

Is there a better way to spend an evening with an guy old friend who you haven’t seen in, oh, ten years, than in bed with alcohol, chocolate strawberries, and near naked men and women prancing about? No. No there isn’t. We went to the Wednesday evening Supperclub show, stood in line for a bit, hung out in the bar area and were finally ushered into the main space. The venue was gorgeous! White, airy, and shiny, and it was such a giggle to crawl up onto the beds and settle into the fluffy pillows. A far cry from the dingy, makeshift stages where burlesque is often performed in Hawaii. I highly recommend the bed option. Unless you will be attending the event with someone you don’t want to have any physical contact with. Like the fun friend who would be so great if he would just stop trying to ask you out. Don’t get the bed option with him. Our waiter was absolutely fabulous. Attentive, charming, delightfully flamboyant. The drinks were well poured and the food was decent, with the exemption of the zucchini sticks. Don’t order those. They are subpar. Go for the sweet potato fries instead. The performers were wonderful! Many well-trained dancers, humorous, dark, dramatic, and supremely sexy. They also featured all sorts of body types, a larger woman who could surely suffocate me with her plush breasts, women who were so devoid of fat cells I nearly pushed my food away and started doing push-ups, and a man! A tan, sculpted man in a cat onesie that looked exactly like a guy from our University back home in Hawaii because it WAS him. Surprise surprise. Nothing like seeing another alumni pouring milk all over himself and his rippling abdominals. That’s special. So yes, spend a night in bed with the Red Hots. I will definitely be back the next time I breeze through the city with enough friends for a veritable orgy. And chocolate strawberries for all!

Red Hots Burlesque is one of the best shows in San Francisco! the girls are always so much fun to watch and Dottie Lux puts on a hell of a show. She and the other women put so much work into their performances and their art. I loved that there are performers in all sizes, shapes and ages. And all of them got the hoots and hollers that everyone else got. Dottie is obviously having a blast on that stage and so are her dancers. And I love that she holds a raffle each night to raise money for the raffle winner’s favorite charity. I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone. It’s not your raunchy, pole dancing strip club, but classy, old fashioned provocative strip tease — down to G-strings and pasties. Take a date. Take two dates! Prepare to be entertained!

Fantastic show with titillating and talented performers! My fiancé and I attended a Wednesday showing for his birthday and we ended up having such a wonderful & entertaining time. The show was extremely body-positive(performers of all ages and different body types) and imbued with a strong sense of fun and whimsy. The host, Dottie Lux, was perfectly naughty & commanding. Staff: Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Kiki was our server and she was extremely attentive and also very patient with the very drunk and obnoxiously loud group that was seated near us. Décor & Accommodations: We purchased the VIP package with bed seating and chocolate-dipped strawberries. The beds were very comfortable but you are basically in bed with your neighbors, so it may be worth it to go on a Wednesday, when it’s not quite as crowded. The venue was clean and modern – overall, a very nice set-up. Food & Drinks: The drinks were nice and strong, and the bartenders were great. The food was okay – my fiancé liked his garlic noodles but I did not like the sliders(I did enjoy the sweet potato fries though). Honestly, the food felt a bit overpriced for what it was. That being said, the molten cookie with ice-cream was so incredibly good. Performers: Most of the performers were truly wonderful and balanced the eroticism/sensuality of their performances with a good amount of silliness. Standouts included the performer with the crochet dress, the performer with the hula hoops, and Rasa Vitalia. Tips: Again, Wednesdays are good if you want less of a crowd. The beds were far more comfortable than the seats. Try to get there early so that you can request a bed with a full view of the stage(some of the beds do not have an optimal view of the stage). Definitely recommend this show for a thoroughly fun evening!

I went to this show last night and it was a blast. These ladies have a great deal of passion and pride for their work and I really admire that. The show was fun and entertaining. Our host was funny and cute. Can’t remember his name. The food was good also. One complain though the seating is not that good. We bought VIP tickets and sat the corner. Couldn’t see some of the stunts the performers were doing because the staircase was blocking the way. Otherwise overall a good experience and a great nite out. They give free popcorn if you go to the Supper club show.

Bravo to the management and staff and entertainers at Red Hots Burlesque. Clearly someone got the memo that reads«Be f**king nice to the customers and do all you can to make them feel special.» I felt special. Thank you all very much! I bought the VIP tickets and luxury of it all(champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries) went straight to my head and I now have a strong urge to trade in my Malamute mix for a Bichon Frise. The«bed seat» was so damn comfortable. Off went the shoes and… ahhhhh. I was’t expecting THAT type of seating.(how come I can’t get that comfortable at home sitting up in my own bed?) Whoever the hell came up with that idea, I love you and want to have your child. Myself and guest split an order of sliders, pork tacos, chicken wraps, and sweet potato fries. The food was inventive and tasty, and a bit more than enough for the two of us chow hounds(read: gluttons). Each food item we ordered was more generous than we’d imagined. The 7pm show started around 7:30ish(or perhaps closer to 8pm), but I didn’t much mind waiting in the bar lounge getting tipsy as I watched members of the cast walking by in their minimal costumes(‘awmost neckid’). The show(Wednesday) is one helluva endorphin booster and good olé clean dirty fun! Bright, colorful, sexy, funny and amazing. Mine eyes have seen the glory.

Every time we go to RHB we have a great experience. The passion these ladies put into their art is amazing. This is our 3rd visit and every show has had different performers and themes. Also, a quick shoutout to Bernadette for her wonderful customer service for sorting out our coupon issue.

This place would have 5 stars if it weren’t for the Unilocal offer… We purchased 2VIP tickets through Unilocal but when we arrived(after having emailed for reservations) they were sold out and we ended up in the back of a very crowded room. However, for the price– it was hard to complain. The show was excellent! Super funny drag queen host and the girls were SUPER talented. It was so much fun! Also, the El Rio neighborhood bar was one of my favorite experiences in SF! $ 3 beers, a backyard bar that really felt like you were handing out at neighborhood block party, and some seriously delicious $ 4 nachos. Overall, very cool!

I went to a Wednesday show at the supper club for the first time a few weeks ago and it happened to be Dottie Lux’s Birthday and I loved it! The show was amazing and Dottie Lux was wonderful! I definitely referred all my friends so I went back last night at a different venue and was a little disappointed. The host was funny but there was only about 5 performers. At supper club they encouraged us to take pictures and tag them on ig but last night I wasn’t allowed to take pictures. I definitely recommend Wednesday night shows!

In the last year this show has really dazzled me. I am impress with the growth of the show but more so with it’s hostess Dottie. Her connection with the audience and the performers is clear and her delivery flawless. Dottie you make queerness look good girl. I can’t go on with out also mentioning the Lovely Kitty Von Quim, Dottie’s cohort in crime. If your looking for a good burlesque education, look no further. I have had the honer of taking classes from Alotta Boutté, Dottie lux and March, 30 Sun Boylesque with Bobby Barnaby @ Center for Sex and Culture 1:00 — 3:00pm. You all amaze and inspire me. Thank you Dottie. I am certainly a fan of RHB.

This show was FABULOUS! It had a little bit of everything… a little drag, a little burlesque, and a LOT of comedy! I was laughing nearly the entire time. I loved how every performer put his/her own spin on their act and just got up and rocked out. The fun and funky vibe of the bar and the performers immediately put the audience at ease, and made for a great night. Went to the Friday night performance at El Rio with a gaggle of lady friends. Our group consisted of both single twenty-somethings and suburban, married thirty-somethings. Everyone totally loved the show. We Barted in, El Rio was a totally doable walking distance from the 24th Street station. We bought the Unilocal deal, which was a good move. $ 10 per person and saved seats, worked out great. Dottie wasn’t the hostess for the night, but her stand-in was sassy and hilarious. Don’t think about it, just go go go and see it for yourself.

Red Hot just like the old school candies :) Definitely a fun show but go into knowing the show is run by artists and not business people. If you go in with that in mind, you won’t be pissed at the lack of organization that is involved… lol

OMFG!!! I have so many compliments I don’t know where to start! First– Thank you Dottie Lux who took the time to read my previous review. In her own words, «for another chance to impress», we were offered free tix to a show of our choosing, as I gave a four star rather than five star review. Again, thank you for your conscientiousness as a business owner and your generous offer! Second– Thank you to the Administrative Goddess who facilitated the process. She had EXCELLENT follow-up which I value tremendously! Fasten your seat belt peeps, here we go: This show was at Supperclub. I did not realize this when I made the reservations. At first I was kicking myself, which quickly ended when we got there. The décor changes with the current dinner show. Weird Science was debuting the next evening. there were lots of technology, science, skull decorations. I liked it. Downstairs we sat on BEDS! We had a tray with Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries!!! I am not a Champagne person and it was good, we got another round! We got TWO hours of Burlesque!!! I appreciated that the show was comprised of women of all sizes, shapes and a transgendered Goddess. A+ for inclusion! There was so much talent! VERY entertaining. Among the performers: Alotta Boutte, Harvest Moon, MissRahni, and Josie Starre and many more! AAAND: my beloved won the raffle and decided to contribute to the Dixie Evans fund! I was so pleasantly surprised by the whole evening, I wish I could give TEN stars! Thank you so much Dottie Lux, for making this possible! ANDABOUTTHESERVERS: Ours was dressed disco-fab and she certainly was enjoying herself! Another was just sensual mysterious and I am kicking myself for not getting a photo of him: white blond short hair, slender, wearing dangle earrings, elbow length shiny black gloves, black mask with white highlights, black backless vest showing off his alabaster skin and lovely shoulder blades, HAWT! HAWT! HAWT! PARTICULARTOSUPPERCLUB: The bar is circular and spacious on evenings with a thinner crowd. The bathroom looked dungeonesque with a human sized bird cage and fasteners on red leather squares that made up the ceiling and walls presumably to hang said cage. In the club room there were images of fire being shown on a big screen(LOVEDIT). The menu offerings were few, and exceeded my expectations. The burger sliders were JUICY! The garlic fries were plentiful and well seasoned.

GIRLSGIRLSGIRLS First time visiting a Burlesque House and It was a great time. Dottie Lux was a great and perfect hostess. I was hoping for her to perform. next time. The Red Hot Ladies were exactly that Red Hot. Nice shape, pretty and voluptuous women. There was a performing from the UK, another from Singapore. HOTHOTHOT. The feature of the month was very good, forgot her name tells you what I was doing. These ladies have been perfecting their craft for awhile, it shows up in the performance. Didn’t buy tickets so we stood up, which was okay. we were able to see just fine. The price of admission was real cheap, drinks were on-point. We had a GREATTIME. Definitely will visit again and recommend. The location is in the mission so yes you will need ample time to find parking.

A consummate professional and passionate about her show, Dottie Lux knows what performance is about. Campy, bawdy, disgusting, foul mouthed, and weird; Red Hots Burlesque really has it all. The tiny dingy spot Red Hots has at El Rio is perfect for a sweaty night of popping balloons between thighs, birthday spankings, and clown burlesque. You will not see«perfect bodies», or 100% polished acts. What you will see is a hell of a hot time with people who actually like each other and what they do. This isn’t just burlesque, it’s theater, comedy, and drag. It’s got heart and grit. Your dollars will be supporting fat people, people of color, older dames, LGBTQ community, women, men, and all in the middle and outside. You will laugh. You will get splattered with shaving cream. You will see some T&A and maybe even some B&T(balls-n-thangs). There might be a giant asshole of a drunk bunny embarrassing you and weirdly turning you on. My god, that blue bunny. You will leave feeling like boning down in an alley, right after you grab a bomb ass burrito. Wait. Switch those. Do all of it. I mean it. Momma said so.
