David Gentry Pet Portraits

David Gentry is a versatile artist and portraitist who did a watercolor portrait of my mother’s dog for her birthday. It’s one of the best presents I’ve ever gotten her.
The motto on David’s card is «Portraits of your prized possessions and companions.» He does watercolors of pets, kids, cars, anything. Really sweet, fanciful, clever, loving portraits. For my mother’s birthday, I hired him – at an incredibly reasonable rate – to do a portrait of my mother’s beloved dog Daisy. My mother was blown away by it. He caught the sweetness of the dog in motion – this wasn’t another staid crappy pet portrait.
I highly recommend David. He worked hard from a series of photos and took pride in making a lovely thing that would make my mom happy. His portraits make for great, surprising, fun, sweet gifts.
