TL;DR: Khalid is awesome. Sign up with him and you won’t regret it. The long version: There’s a lot of bullshit in the fitness industry. From crazy fitness programs, to the snake-oil supplement industry, to prices that are all over the place, to high-pressure sales tactics in chain gyms… It’s a conundrum to navigate for someone who’s new to it. I shopped around quite a bit before settling on Khalid. Khalid is everything I look for in a trainer. He’s very knowledgeable and easy-going. He listens to you, to your goals, and works with you on a program that makes sense. He pushes you hard, but not too hard. I’m a big fan of his«form follows function» approach. Too many trainers seem to be all about looks and image, about getting that six-pack and feeling sexy as you flex in front of a mirror. I’m not the target audience for that. I’m not about to win any beauty contests. I want to be fit, strong, and feel good about myself, and that’s what Khalid is all about. I’ve been training with him for about a year now and the progress I’ve made is unbelievable. Personal training is an investment. Khalid was great about working with me on a plan and a rate that would not bleed me dry. The money I save on massages and chiropractors(I pretty much never feel back-pain anymore) more than makes up. Khalid and the Body Mechanix facilities is a great model for people interested in some personal fitness training. I’ve taken Khalid’s 1 hour Kettlebell program and I was sore(a good sore, mind you) for a couple days after(that’s how you know it worked). Being someone that has kept up physical fitness for years, I know what good training is vs. bad training.; Khalid is definitely great training. If you’re looking for a great personal trainer, reach out to Khalid because he’s definitely one of those trainers that can get you to wherever your fitness goals are!

I’ve been training with Khalid for 6 months now, and plan to continue as long as my bank account will let me. Like most of us, I made a new years resolution to get fit. Step 1 is typically joining a gym. Well I’ve done that before, watched the $ 100+ a month leave my checking account, and hardly moved from the couch. It takes motivation. And as a business owner and father-to-be, my motivations are elsewhere. I knew it would take a trainer and regular appointments to make a difference. I found Body Mechanix(a trainer’s cooperative) on Unilocal and, after discussing my needs, they referred me to Khalid. We train twice a week and I’m getting results that I would never have been able to achieve solo. Khalid pushes me well beyond what I would normally do. And he’s friendly, personable, and assertive without being pushy. If you want results, and you don’t think you can do it alone, I highly recommend Khalid.

Khalid is a great trainer. Our workouts were definitely harder than what I would have done on my own. He pushed me to my limits and I got great results. I miss training with him(I’m lazy without his motivation!). I would definitely recommend him.

I have been working out with Khalid Kohgadai for almost a year now and I am amazed at the results I’ve achieved. I have made major improvements in my strength and stamina and have lost over 15 pounds in the process. Khalid is very good and determining your limits and then pushing you just a little beyond them. I would have never have thought that I would be able to do pull ups again! He has made this 50+ year old guy feel like he is in his 30’s.
