I’ve been coming here for the past two years, and each time I visit I order the vegetarian phở and always ask if it’s vegetarian out of habit and am always assured yes it is. Today when I asked I was informed that their«vegetarian» phở is NOT vegetarian and has always been made with chicken broth! They’ve been serving chicken broth as a vegetarian dish! I’m disappointed at being assured over and over that a dish is vegetarian only to find out that it never was. Disappointed to say the least.

If I were to use one word to describe the quality of phở here I would use: abysmal. The phở beef stew I had was by far the blandest and worse phở ive had. The phở itself looked lazily made, with the stew being watery. It seemed more of a guess attempt than something someone experienced in making phở would serve. Also minimum on card is $ 15. Terrible experience never coming back.

Love the broth in their chicken phở; it saved my life when I was sick a few days ago! And they’re so nice! I dropped and spilled one of my broth containers on the way to my car, and they replaced it for free.

We just moved to the neighborhood and I thought I’d give this place a try since I drive by it all the time. I want to support any local businesses but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. I was really hoping for a good vietnamese restaurant that I could walk to. I ordered the rare beef phở and when it came, it had a strange smell that phở shouldn’t have.(I wondered who was cooking in the kitchen) They did bring the slice of lime but what was missing was the accompaning plate of herbs and bean sprouts. I’ve never eaten phở with only the noodles and the meat. How strange but I wanted to give the dish a chance. Big disappointment. You shouldn’t have to eat«naked» phở like this! Even tried to cover the lack of flavor with hoisen sauce. No joy. Sorry to have to give this place a one star. It made me feel so guilty to spend $ 10 on several bites of a bad dish and 10 minutes of my time. There’s better places to spend you hard earned money.

So good! They have the thick phở noodles here. Their imperial rolls are on point. Beef stew egg noodles are a must try if you like savory. Sometimes they have the shaken beef rice plate as a special and I die a little inside when they have it.

Phở, bun chu Ha Noi and Bun Bo Hue were very flavorful! Highly recommend if you are looking for original Vietnamese taste!

For Phở, they really have it wrong. They don’t give bean sprouts, and all of their sauces are bottled, not fresh. I ordered chicken phở and it was sub-par. I will, however give points for the imperial rolls– they were great. They staff was friendly but didn’t speak English, so communication was hard. Overall, I would get my phở somewhere else. I will not return.

Bland. Plus the phở is not served with the traditional accompaniments of herbs and bean sprouts. I spent a month traveling all over Vietnam and everywhere I went, there was always these accompaniments. Over all very disappointing. There are lots of places to get good phở, this is not one of them.

We stayed away for many months after being charged a higher price than was on the –allegedly– out-of-date menu. I gave it another whirl today, with poor results. Water came in a thrice-cracked plastic cup. Tea came not at all. The highlight was the delicate shrimp papaya salad. Finely shredded green papaya, finely sliced shrimp, crushed and sliced peanuts, lime juice, a bit of parsley maybe. Simple and tasty. I had the server coach me on the pronunciation of the soup I ordered. Despite that, the wrong soup was served. I got what I think was the Hue-style beef noodle soup. I went with it, unwisely. The noodles were overly soft, the pieces of stew meat elaborately swaddled in fat. Nice VN music was playing, the shady, quiet interior more pleasant than you would expect. The graceful server had the quality of many of her co-nationals: She made the average American woman look like Larry the Cable Guy in drag. How does this place have a «People Love Us on Unilocal» sticker? It should say, «People concede we’re probably trying.»

Got stir fried noodles. Tried both the shrimp and chicken one on different occasions. Shrimp plate was good. Super simple. parsley, noodles, shrimp. I got the chicken one the second time. It was a lot greasier(from the chicken) I can tell the chicken was precooked from their some chicken steak or something and probably a day or two older than what I would like. Overall I would go back here, cause its pretty cheap for a meal(no tax) but I’d be careful on what I order. As an example for comparison, my girlfriend got the same dish twice and tasted inconsistencies as well for her chicken and rice noodle soup.(first time good, second time not so much). Be careful what you order! Service was alright.

Had the grilled pork and imperial rolls bún and the phở. For almost $ 9 the bún was such a tiny portion size I was still hungry. The grilled pork was blah but the imperial roll was delicious. The bún didn’t really have anything besides the shredded lettuce and the grilled pork, imperial rolls and noodles kinda weird. The phở was huge portion and with decent seasoning. Service was very slow and the place wasn’t that busy and the waitress forgot about the sprite I ordered until after the meal was finish and was paying for the meal. First time here might come back for the imperial rolls or maybe not. Was very so so place.

Before complaining about the noodles, people should get that this is ha noi style phở so that’s how the noodle is supposes to be. This is a small family restaurant so it does lack some quality in service. The food is above average so 4 stars out of 5, price is fair since there is a lot. Kinda too much for my girlfriend, so maybe it would be good if they offer different sizes. Overall this is a pretty good place and would come back whenever I want phở.

Pros: great tasty phở+ you get alotta steak when you order ‘sliced steak’+ great egg noodles(i never order white) Cons: they dont serve sprouts+ theres only one size for phở bowls. Those are the only two reasons for taking 2 stars off. The service is a bit slow, but it’s obvious that its a little family business and hope to see it get bigger Piss off: to those who go there for the first time and order something other than phở. Its a phở spot genius

They made the best of a really small place with a very narrow corridor. The waitstaff friendly and efficient. The food, good for the price you are paying for… imperial rolls, phở, bun and rice plates are good but nothing to lose your head over. Worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

I’ve tried this place a few times now, both take out and sit down. Cutesy name. Food = Good presentation. Piping hot. Delicious.(And they separate out the broth from the noodles, vegetables, etc. when you order to-go). I’ve tried their phở, chicken phở, and rice plates. All have been full of flavor, good seasoning and piping hot. I’m a big fan of their chicken soup(especially when under the weather). Service = friendly. English isn’t their first language, so be patient and repeat yourself, if need be. Prices = moderate.

Ok so I just got the Phở to go and I have to admit… its the worst Phở I’ve ever had in my life. It was lukewarm to start. Only a 4 block walk and it was not even cold outside. I asked if they put basil with it but they seem so high and mighty to only offer cilantro with it. NO bean sprouts, NO basil, NO garlic. So it was like water basically. I’ve had better canned soup. I placed it downstairs on the bus stop so hopefully someone has a horrible but filling meal tonight. They may try to call it «northern style» but I am sorry guys you can’t get away by calling it that. Its called: CHEAPRESTAURANTMANAGERDOTCOM. The imperial rolls were literally dripping with grease, see foto. The shrimp rolls would of been decent… except it was served with peanut water. Yes they are so cheap they water down the peanut sauce. It is horrible. See video. All to save a buck? Wow. Lame! The imperial rolls came with no sauce… or wait were we supposed to dip them in the grease? Oh. I cannot believe there is no basil!!! Seeing how stupid some business owners can be really makes me want to start one of my own. I think ANYONE could serve better Phở. Blindfolded. Worst $ 22 I ever lost. Hire someone who knows how to run a bloody restaurant!

Don’t know what you phools are talkin about with your single star reviews(I’m pretty sure you were reviewing the previous phở restaurant). This is north vietnamese style phở so grow a lil culture. I come here religiously for the rare beef phở and papaya salad(Yummm). I also enjoy their shrimp spring rolls which are really fresh and light. The service is friendly and quick. This is a family run business with 3 generations in the kitchen.

North Vietnamese style. Therefore, its not your typical phở place. Even I’m not use to it. Phở Nice took over a previous Phở place and I’m super glad. They had totally bad customer service. Anyway, here the customer service is great! The workers here don’t speak much English so that can be a problem. They are also very reserved and timid. Regular Phở — Different type of noodles. The noodles are flat. The broth is much more different than the«south Vietnamese» type of broth. What is odd about this place is that they don’t serve condiments such as cilantro and lemon like all typical phở places. Hai Noi Bun is pretty much on point. The lettuce is fresh and the noodles are cooked to perfection. They also gave an abundance of meat. The presentation was also beautiful. Bun Bo Hue(emphasis on the hue, you vietnamese people would probably get the joke) — Broth is super sweet. A bit too much oil in the broth. After a few sips of the broth, I grew to like the sweetness of the soup. Definitely will be coming back when I’m craving for northern Vietnamese style phở and dishes because has great service and a clean place.
