You get what you paid for. A girlfriend and I came for an hour mix of foot massage and body massage. We were served quickly, but the massage was ok.

Excellent massage, older gentleman was truly tuned in to pressure points. My wife’s massage was a bit less so, so four stars. And the outside noise was there, though I couldn’t help bit smile when mariachi music drowned out the asian sugar-pop tunes. Highly recommended!

I have visited many foot massage places with traveling around the nation with work. I can honestly say this was the WORST experience of any. They said to be there at 7:45 for an appointment but did not even have a chair for me until 8:10 p.m. I was expecting a great experience because the establishment was about half full when I arrived. I told the man that I did not want any reflexology, just to massage my feet and legs and he kept doing reflexology. On top of that, when he did rub my feet and legs he kept a very light pressure and going over the same spot over & over. After telling him I wanted firm pressure, he continued to do a very light massage. Also, strange… i kept looking and it seemed like he was falling asleep during my session. I actually stopped the session twice and asked them for a refund and they said they don’t know how to do refunds because I paid by credit card. With that said, they do want payment upfront including tip. Now I understand why. I will never go back! I couldn’t wait for it to end but couldn’t get a refund so wanted something for my money, at least.

There’s good & bad to be said about this place. My feet came out feeling relaxed and much better. There was also tea & rice crackers served which was nice. The price was good as well. I found the pressure to be quite a bit and the way it ended was a little bit harsh(slapping and pounding massage). However, that might be because I’m used to a lighter massage and not something that may actually work the knots and muscles out. That being said, I was pretty happy overall. You have to pay cash first before the massage. They did try to upsell me on the body massage & foot massage combo, but it was really my feet that were feeling it after all the walking I had done in SF and eventually, they understood that’s all I wanted. No ill effects after.

Joel was amazing… Something special else. Borderline chiropractor. I hope I don’t regret this tommorow. But I would come back again just for him. And I get many reflexology massages.

This is to counter Michael J below who gave a one star because he had an ‘awful experience’. Well I thought I’d add my comments because I was there and forced to listen to this jack hole be a precious ass. I was a fellow patron who was there before, during and after this cheap redneck and his wife walked in. They chose a $ 35 foot massage and tried to bargain for 45 minutes for $ 5 more. Who does that? I was mid massage and quite blissful until this guy starts yelling about the noise of a guy a across the street yelling. He told them to close the windows, but guess what? The WINDOWS were already closed. Then he yelled for the massage staff to ‘get rid’ of this guy so that he could finish his massage in peace. the poor reception lady says she can’t get rid of this guy, firstly he’s ACROSSTHESTREETOUTSIDE or call the police because it’s the day time all to stop his guy yelling so this precious idiot could finish his massage. Meanwhile he is yelling about a guy yelling and disturbing everyone else getting a massage. Also there is foot traffic and cars going by but apparently that noise is okay. So. He yells for another ten minutes, refuses to tip the poor people who have been massaging his stinky feet for almost 20 minutes, yells more at the massage people because it’s their fault obviously that this poor crazy guy is yelling, and all the whilst still on his soap box about how a massage should be soothing but ignorantly unaware that he is doing the exact thing he is yelling about. What a tool. This is NOT a spa. You did not pay hundreds of dollars for this. Some poor crazy homeless guy HASNOHOME and these people massaging you make nothing and you’re whining about peace and quiet for your cheap ass massage! What is wrong with you? How far removed from humanity do you have to be to blame some poor massage person who makes their lively hood massaging assholes like you. This is Chinatown, not the Ritz. You paid $ 35 and one more time YOUARE In CHINATOWN. You want luxury then don’t be a tight ass go and pay for it. Meanwhile this place rocks, my go to!

My friends and I were in the mood for post-brunch foot massages and Peony Foot Spa was in a good location, walking distance from Market. We walked up the stairs and the hostess said she was able to accommodate all 5 of us if we came back in 25 mins. We agreed and decided to do a tea tasting downstairs in the meantime. The tea tasting was very educational and was the perfect way to get us into optimal relaxation mode for our massages. I have gotten massaged at many different Chinese foot massage places in CA and I liked that this place asked us how many minutes we would like for feet and body. Usually you only choose the time(30 mins, or 1 hour) and the place already has the amount for each body part determined. This place will allow you to pick half and half, or 15⁄45 whatever you want depending on if your feet or body needs more time. I believe it was 45(feet) and 15(body) that we all went with and it was great! I woke up from my massage feeling rested and relaxed. They say they take cash only unless you buy a bunch of massages like us, then they will let you put them on one card. Remember to check in for the $ 5 discount! Make sure to bring cash to tip your masseuse. Great deal for $ 34.50 for an hour massage :) We will definitely be back when we feel like a good massage.

Very simple surroundings but excellent foot massage. I have been several times and each of the therapists did a great job(I especially liked Joe). Be prepared for some pain if you have not had reflexology before but you will leaving feeling like you’re walking on air.

This was a great treat after a day of biking and walking. We enjoyed the 60 minute foot massage. Parts of it ‘hurt so good’ so be prepared. They had great service and provided us with tea and cookies as we enjoyed our massage. A hidden gem.

Omg. The wife and I went here cos our regular place was full. We got combo foot and body and these women know how to work you. The reflexology was great, painful and effective. Will go back. Setting look outdated but do not mind it. I really enjoyed every minute of it

This was like finding an oasis with a clear, running stream of coooool, fresh, clear water, right in the midst of the gobi desert. After hoofing it around Chinatown for a few hours, negotiating those infamous hills, you’re gonna want to chillax and put those feet up, right? Well, if you happen to find this spot(it’s a little easy to walk right past, in the middle of all those other signs and storefronts) you won’t be disappointed. I went in for the ½ hour foot massage, but for another $ 5 bucks, they threw in another 15 minutes of back, shoulder and neck massage — score!!! The woman who worked on my feet did such a fantastic job, I could feel the stress levels slowly dissipate as a strange calm washed over me. You’re in a large room, with three other oversized chairs, which adjust to sit back or lie all the way down when it’s time for that bonus neck and shoulder massage. It’s a bit off-putting at first, but because it’s so quiet, it’s easy to relax and forget about it. I lucked out once and was the only person in the joint! This is a totally legit spot, with very reasonable rates, and friendly, professional and experienced staff to accommodate your every need. In fact, the place is as quiet as a library for the most part, other than the sound of the old gentleman repeatedly playing the 2 stringed bowed instrument out on the street.(Note: you need to learn at least ONE new song, buddy!) I was in town for a few weeks, and doubled back once, then tripled back, after blabbing to all my west coast friends about this place. Man, I wish we had something like this in Winchester!

Hubby took me out on an adventure through San Francisco — and after 5 miles of walking on my tender sit-at-desk feet, I desperately needed a foot massage. I had to buy a new pair of socks on the walk over to this place … Like traditional massage parlors in China — it’s a community room. Be sure to have your headphones and smartphone if you get bored easily to distract and entertain you through your session. We paid the $ 35 for a 50 minute foot /10 minute body massage. It was worth every penny … the lady I had was quiet but hardworking and I wanted to give her a big tip … but Fred didn’t like his guy at all.(Too much calf massage, not enough focus on the little piggies?) The location is a bit out of the way for me — but a great location(right by the Chinatown Archway) … so if I find myself here again, I would definitely revisit — but not enough to go out of my way to become a regular.

$ 40 + tip for 30 minute foot and 30 minute body massage You are placed in a huge recliner chair in a room with others, it is not private. For $ 40 I expect a private space(even if it is divided by curtains). There was a group of men next to me that kept talking and no one asked them to be quiet. In fact their masseuse was speaking with them. You can hear the fire crackers from the busy China Town street downstairs going off like you are in a war zone, the most un-therapeutic sound. No joke, sounds like a machine gun is going off and bombs are being dropped. My masseuse was going so hard it really hurt. When I asked her to massage softer she did not understand and asked the receptionist to translate for her since she did not speak English. Even after she was told to be more gentile she continued to torture my poor over tenderized body. I now know what it feels like to be a POW… At least the receptionist was super friendly and easy to communicate with. She gets 4 stars. Don’t go here! I will not be back.

After walking around SF all day not in running shoes we decided to get foot massages. If you’re on vacation, you really do whatever you want right? Cash-only is not the realist thing. I paid $ 50 on my card for two 30-minute foot massages for myself and my other half. Seated immediately. Hot tea soak and then they went to work on us. Felt very, very happy and relaxed almost immediately thereafter. I recommend.

The foot massage was decent; I only had to ask the massage therapist once to lighten up because his pressure was too hard. The rest of the massage felt pretty good. The body massage was the worst I’ve ever had. I had to ask him 3 times to lighten up. He massaged over my vertebrae a few times. Shook my body pretty hard with some sort of back and forth movement. Hurt the back of my neck. I miss Happy Feet. They do the same types of massages, but MUCHMUCHBETTER.

For just under $ 40(plus tip), you can get a foot and body massage. These people are much older than I thought and I just couldn’t believe the amount of pressure they applied. It felt amazing! There will be some pain involved. Don’t expect one of those la-dee-da surface massages where u barely feel anything. This is a no frills environment. You will most likely be sitting inches away from a total stranger. However, once your eyes are closed, who cares?! If I lived in SF, I would be back once every couple of weeks for sure. Totally worth it.
