Great coffee better then Starbucks. which is so over rated. Peets has a better and deeper taste in their coffee by the way they roast their coffee beans.

My last few experiences at this location are questionable. What’s the question? First of all, the place is clean and the coffee is consistent. (The following had been removed as the issue has been settled. I’m pleased that this not ignored. It tells me that Peets on a corporate level has the class that it portrays. That being said, «water under the Golden Gate Bridge».

This is the only Peet’s that I found that cares about the environment enough to have their used coffee prepackaged for customers to just grab and go. Not 5 stars due to the no handicap access that makes it very difficult for wheelchairs and strollers to come in without help.

I have been going there for 6 years now and everyone who works there is super awesome. I look forward to going there on my days off: D

great service, great coffee, but they let dogs in store and not a real service dog. supposedly has a service tag, but manager said dogs not really supposed to be in store. but lady with dog was in store again this morning no one said anything. same lady every morning? thats unsanitary?

Bought a coffee free vanilla javiva lik I almost always do and it had a weird coco powder after taste so I brought it back wondering if it contained coffee but the barista who made it ensured that it only had milk. They’re not the cheapest drinks in the world so I was a bit disappointed because I don’t want to waste my money but the aftertaste is hard to get past. I didn’t want to insist for them to remake it but I wish they had, I was really looking forward to it too. Oh well maybe next time, I will come back again, service is nice, still recommend.

First word to customers; as a person with barista experience, if you’re going to talk loudly on your cell phone about how your friends daughter either committed suicide or died of a seizure, don’t you dare ask the barista to let the foam settle for you. You’re just extending the amount of time everyone these has to listen to your drama, which none of us do. Anyway, two stars; I ordered a sweetened iced matcha green tea latte. It came out unsweetened and tasting like just milk poured over ice, so the matcha was way too weak. The hot ones always come out delicious so I thought I’d try it iced; I guess they didn’t increase the proportions of sweetener for an iced drink. Anyway I was not interested in finishing it.

Not only are all the drinks here amazing(matcha latte, mocha, black tie, specialty holiday drinks like pumpkin lattes etc) but the staff is always extremely friendly. This is my favorite Peets location. Many of the regulars here have formed lasting friendships in this cozy and friendly atmosphere over perfect cups of coffee. It is a must try for fast and wonderful service.

Ugh. Just got a latte here and it was so gross I immediately threw it in the garbage and went to Starbucks. This location blows.

I LOVE Peet’s coffee! Probably one of my favorite ones in SF because of it’s cozy feel. It’s smaller than other Peet’s I’ve seen but the drinks are still at its best. Service is great here! All the workers are super friendly! Tried their white mocha, black tie, chocolate hazelnut mocha, matcha latte, caramel macchiato, javavivas, etc. and never been disappointed. I also love their pumpkin bread during the holidays or their petite scones! Their bathroom is super clean too. Only downside of this location: no power outlets. I’ve wanted to use my laptop(with horrible battery life) but I guess they only encourage reading and/or coffee over conversation here.

I love going to Peets because the coffee isn’t as strong as starbucks in my opinion. The chai tea is my favorite because it has a slight taste of cinnamon but it’s not so over whelming. The Jaimie lime cooler is refreshing with a green tea taste at the end and the berry pomegranate is sweeter with more like a black tea taste to it. I personally really like going to Peets after getting a coupon.

LOVE Peet’s! It’s the first time we went to this location. A bit tiny but very cozy! They got my Med Cinnamon Hazelnut Almond Milk Latte perfect — and very HOT the way I like it! I’m so glad we found this Peet’s in West Portal — while Peet’s is a big Brand — the atmosphere in this location is very cozy and neighborhood like. Service was great and personable.

I’m a big fan of Peet’s. I’ve built enough of an attachment with the brand that whenever I see a Peet’s I just walk straight in without hesitation. Which is what I did with this particular Peet’s when I was in the West Portal area. And like always, I ended up getting a Mocha, which was rich, flavorful and dependable. There was a cute, cozy, family-like atmosphere here on a Sunday morning. It seemed like many of the patrons were regulars based on the way they were chatting with the baristas which made me feel like an outsider. Lol. There are a few good seats by the window and a couple outside, but apart from that, it’s not a spacious, «let me set up my station and start working on my next project» coffee shop. It’s more like a «let me read a newspaper, chit-chat for a bit and leave» kind of a place.

It’s always a good sign when companies listen to customer feedback, hopefully things will be better if I visit again.

Great staff here, so much nicer than when I used to pop in. Very helpful and you can tell a lot of the regulars know the staff. I was browsing for a gift and sitting in the table next to the tins of tea was a SFSU college freshman who popped up to ask if I needed assistance. She wasn’t even working there! She told me she works at the Stonestown Peet’s store and was sitting there with her laptop, SFSU sweatshirt and jeans. She helped me decide on the tin of tea and thermos. What a nice Peet’s employee. I told the Peet’s WP employee about what this young girl did and she told me she was meeting with the mgr of the Peet’s Stonestown the next day and would tell the mgr about her. I bought a $ 25 gift card and got a free latte for the purchase. Very good coffee and not upsetting to my stomach. I’ll have to make a point to stop in here more often than the SBs down the street.

Good coffee, but not one power outlet. You would think that trendy coffee shops that make business on people sipping 3.00 coffees, would have enough common sense to install at least one power outlet for their customers, but… Why spend extra money on electricity bills when you don’t have to. Shame…

I only drink Peet’s when I need more pep in my day… I mean when I really feel sluggish. This Peet’s remind me of the one at Greenbrae, where Baristas pay attention… really pay attention. I am not one of those who orders… Skinny Machiatto with a little bit of this and a drizzle of that… I just want medium coffee and that’s it. and easy as it may sound there are Barista’s still who effs it up… but not this one. Keep up the good work everyone… its good when Barista smiles too.

Could not stop thinking about my delicious vanilla latte I received last week I made another trip. I went in the afternoon and the store was much easier to maneuver through. The morning is overly congested of people trying to run in and out, it’s hard to not be in someone’s way. On to the vanilla latte round 2. This time maybe I got my hopes up to high or maybe it’s the new guy behind the counter learning how to make my drink for the first time ;(My drink did not have the vanilla flavor well balanced with the strong espresso coffee bitter notes. Sad me =(I guess it really depends who’s pouring your drink.

This Peet’s is incredibly busy. Parking is nonexistent though you may get lucky if you park a few blocks away. Every spot in that congested area on West Portal is metered anyway. The interior is odd shaped. There is more room for the baristas behind the counter then there is for patrons who would like to sit. Coffee is as strong as ever – and service is fine.
