Food is too salty and has lots of msg, though they claim they add no msg. But can’t expect too much from a restaurant in a mall food court. Portions are decent, but this is not real Chinese food at all.

«Add one dollar»… How does a $ 8 – 9 dollar combo turn into $ 15? Panda Express has perfected the art of «add one dollar». What is «add one dollar» you ask? It is the process in which, every single entrée item you ask cost one additional dollar. Case in point: Me: Can I get a 3 item combo please Lady: Chow Mein or Fried Rice Me: Fried Rice please Lady: What entrees? Me: Mmm… can I get the Walnut Shrimp? Lady: Add one dollar Me: Okay, no problem Lady: What else? Me: The Schezuan Beef please. Lady: This one, add one dollar Me: Okay… Panda Express turned fake Chinese food into something that cost gold bricks. I think the employees that work here are wonderful, but the price and the product of the food is absolutely horrendous. Even mall food court food should have some kind of standards. 2 stars, for simply having fake Chinese food available for when I want some major MSG and grease!

Love the chowmein, my favorite. The lady was super nice and didn’t try to rush my order even though it was a pretty long line, she also offered me a free sample.

I don’t expect greatness from a Chinese fast food restaurant, but do expect typical Panda Express food that is better than average Chinese fast food(try eating in a mall on the East Coast or in Florida and you get the idea as to truly bad food) and reasonable portions. I eat at Panda Express in the East Bay regularly, and the portions here are far smaller than other Panda Express. Kung Pao chicken had a nice hint of spice, still slightly juicy, and the tofu egglant was good. Chow mein was dry and overcooked, and only slighly warm. However, size matters and got the distinct feeling I was not gettiing what I paid for. due to the size of the portions. As others have noted, the servers’ attitude is as though giving extra food is taking food away from their family, or eating into their salary. Coupled with a surly attitude, it is a place that I will avoid in the future.

Seriously, what is the point of coming here. I hope people know that this is not authentic Chinese food because it’s not. Just because the servers are Chinese does not make this place authentic. Now, the food is awful. The chicken tends to taste like rubber and the beef is like plastic. I try to give this place a chance every few months and they. continue to fail. They just don’t work for me. Just the smell makes me. sick now. I highly suggest going somewhere else for your fast food. Fyi, if you eat here and get sick after reading this post it is your fault, you have been warned, and good luck getting your stomach pumped. Deuces

As a mall employee, I come here all the time, but sadly, I think I’ll have to stop. There was a rotten, almost meat looking carrot in my fried rice. How did they not notice this and I’m concerned about where the other pieces of this carrot are?

I normally am OK with PE, but something about this location irks me. As the saying goes, «bad food and not enough of it.» Your adventure starts with the elderly lady carefully scooping the minimum amount of any dish to make it look like you received something. She seems to act as though she’s the owner and each piece of food she serves you is starving her son. Then when you look closer at the food, you realize it was likely cooked up around noon and now it’s supper time. Vegetables at all locations are far too over salted, and this one honors that protocol in spades. Compared to the other awful restaurants in this mall it’s one of the least worst so I keep giving them a chance to do right. It’s NOT a franchise, it’s a company store, so it blows my mind how bad the customer service and food quality remains over the years.

Panda Extra is my only go to place while eating Chinese food when it comes to being really really hungry while working really hard at a shopping mall!!! I decided to have myself a 2 entrée item and that would be Fried Rice, Honey Walnut Shrimp & Shanghai Steak… And I am the 1st Unilocaler to post a picture of the Shanghai Steak!!!

Fast food Chinese. Its ok at the mall but wouldnt go out of my way to get it. The food sits out way to long sometimes and you get this dry luke warm thing. The chicken with mushrooms and broccoli beef is ok. At Stonestown if your craving some Chinese, why not.

You do get what you pay for. Had lunch fried rice wi5h sesame chicken with vegi rolls. Maybe 3 pieces of chicken were edible. Vegi rolls were so soggy inside they tasted like soup. I probably ate half of it all.

You can’t expect much when you are ordering fast chinese food. But Saturday was my lucky day. They were having customer appreciation day. So it was buy one meal get one free. I ordered the fried rice, orange chicken and chicken w/string beans. And for my other meal I just ordered the same thing and brought it home to my husband. The orange chicken was pretty good. Sweet with a little bit of spiciness to it. The fried rice is not great. I don’t even know how to describe it. The chicken with string beans is good with just the right amount of flavor to it. The line was super long today due to the customer appreciation day. There really aren’t many choices at this food court and since I work here on the weekends, panda express has been my staple.

Usually I love the food from Panda Express but the last two times I ate here I got diarrhea. Both times I had chicken so I’m guessing its the chicken? Not sure if it was only me who got it but I am staying away from this place that serves food that is not fresh! The broccoli was also not good, was too old. How can they still serve it to people?

i always know that their food is not healthy. I never tried theirs before, but today, i have no choice since i need some meat for my lunch. So I purchased a single side(very small box) which says on the menu $ 2.75. That is the Shanghai angus beef. Not mentioning about their beef, which is too sweet, the server charge me 4.75(5.17 included tax), price for a single entry(i do not want to have their noodles, too fat). I did ask them and they said the side price is not for this beef. I need my meal, and okay, i paid $ 20. But after i checked my charge, i figured that she only gave me $ 14 bucks which made me very upset. This restaurant wants to rip off the customers that did not want to have their entry. I hope they are out of business soon and other branched restaurant could appear in the food court.

Very sadly… had lunch and got violently ill later in the day, terrible vomiting by 3am(orange chicken)…was sick for a few days. I contacted Panda Express Customer Service and, after a series of emails, phone calls.,…i was essentially«walk out the door». Typical corporate response: just make it disappear. DPH report?

It must have been at least five years since I last ate at a Panda Express. My girlfriend and I were getting some work done at SFSU and needed lunch first and figured we’d check out the mall offerings. I couldn’t decide on what to get and went with an old favorite. I got their fried rice/chow mein combo with orange chicken and eggplant tofu. It tastes exactly how I remembered it except that the fried rice is made with brown rice, which I actually prefer. You could really taste the MSG, which in large quantities gives me a headache. However, it was decent if you don’t expect a plate of authentic Chinese food. Service was quick and prices are much higher than I remember, but $ 8+ seems pretty normal for fast food nowadays. It’s inside the mall so there’s plenty of seating. It was all alright but I don’t plan to make this a habit. Food: 6⁄10 Service: 6⁄10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 6⁄10

Pretty good for Chinese fast food. You’re in and out in less than three minutes, depending on how fast you order. The lady that took my order was nice and speedy. Price is to be expected for the food court. B

10 bucks for a plate of faux-Chinese that’s 1200+ calories and gives you the nasty poos. YAEY. I’d bet a fair sum 95% of the people who sing the praises of Panda Express are under 23 or so. Try this shit with your body after you hit 30 and see how it reacts. ProTip: Not well. Anyway, Tokyo Express and Sorabol are both right there. And cheaper. And better. If it wasn’t next to a college and a high school it probably wouldn’t even be in business here.

Panda Express is Panda Express: better than other steam-table Chinese chains, not good for much of anything else. This one at the Stonestown food court is the first one I ever went to, a while before it started popping up everywhere. It was OK for a quick shopping meal, but the latest time I went there the food was tepid and inedible. This had never been my experience at a Panda Express before. Yes, I gave it a bad rating in the online survey. I want them to know about it and shape up!

Definitely a quick fix whenever im desperately hungry. I’ve grown up eating Panda Express, and honestly, i really love it. Especially their orange chicken, it’s always so yummy. But now that my taste buds really kick in, i can tell that the orange chicken is lacking in some sense, but at the same time, it’s really trying to be its amazing self. Although there are other places where i can get the same amount of food for cheaper and better, i just come here for the sake of feeding my bf, who so happens to love panda express :). There’s definitely room for improvement though, so 3 stars for you Panda!
