Oliver Mackin Construction

Oliver recently completed a fairly significant overhaul of my old flat in Noe Valley, including the complete renovation of an outdated bathroom and the installation of recessed lights in almost every room of the property.
He was clear about the scope, costs, time-​line as well as the unexpected «surprises» that seem to come up with any renovation, especially in old houses like mine. He was also patient with my admittedly obsessive focus on some nitpick details, and he addressed my concerns.
I’ll write a more extensive review when I get a chance but I am satisfied as a customer. I would hire Oliver again to do more work.

What can I say about Oliver and and his company? Well, turns out, quite a bit!
We purchased our brand-​new home in Bernal Heights directly from the builder, Oliver. We fell in love with our home the day we walked into the open house. The spacious design, craftsmanship and attention to detail are obvious in every aspect of the house.
Oliver’s work speaks for itself. He is a fantastic contractor and home builder.

Oliver did a kitchen remodel for us and was our GC on a house build in Bernal Heights. He is honest and reliable.
Building a house requires a lot of attention to detail on a daily basis and coordinating many different subcontractors. Oliver handled this with ease.
One area where Oliver excelled beyond any contractor I have had was in our kitchen remodel. We were living in the home during the remodel. Oliver put up plastic and somehow manage to keep the dust and mess out of the rest of the house. This was a down-​to-​the studs remodel, so I was amazed he was able to do this.

Oliver was fantastic — came in on short notice to finish up my bathroom remodel after another contractor did a horrible job and left it unfinished. Oliver and his team worked with me, fixed everything to look great, and did not overcharge. I would highly recommend him as he is reliable, honest, and low-​stress to deal with.

Earlier this year Oliver Mackin completed a renovation of our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. He did a fantastic job for us.
The project was done in a timely and professional manner. Oliver’s greatest assets are his calm demeanor and the strong relationships he has built with his sub-​contractors. No contractor you hire will work as hard to make sure the job is done right.
And when issues arose, as they will in any job of this size, Oliver was able to calmly and rationally able to resolve the problem to our satisfaction.
He was honest and straightforward about the timeline and the cost. The job was complicated slightly by the fact we were in the process of a TIC conversion. The only additional expense was on some electrical upgrades for the conversion, and even in that instance he had warned us that some of the costs were uncertain. The project would have been completed ahead of schedule except for a delayed kitchen sink that was completely out of Oliver’s control.
We have had similar size projects in the past with other contractors in other cities. Oliver is one contractor we would absolutely recommend you talk to about your project.
