I discovered them in 1998 and even though I moved away from the neighborhood in 2002, I continued to go to Montage to get my hair done. Now that I no longer live in San Francisco and the salon is over an hour drive from my house, I still go there. What else can I say :)

I highly recommend Maggie! Time and time again she proves to be consistent, reliable and professional. She always has a smile on her face and she has a true passion for her craft. Maggie is outgoing and friendly and has a great eye for detail. If you’re looking for a creative and innovative stylist you’ll love her.

This was the only place I’d get my hair cut for years. Owner Chris is excellent and made me so happy whenever I got a cut. I have almost always hated hair stylists and would end up with much-​too-​long hair as I avoided the ordeal, but that never happened while I was living near Montage. :) As a bonus, its location lends itself to a nice lunch, dinner, shopping, or café visit before or after an appointment.

What part of «I just want a trim» do you not understand? I asked for a small trim and got 5 inches of my hair chopped off! If I could give this place negative stars I would.

Chris Leong, owner of Montage, is a true master of hair styling. I have very curly hair and it takes an expert to know how it’s going to turn out when it’s dry. I can honestly say I have never had a bad cut from her in 25 years! I’m glad she’s younger than me because I’m sticking with her till the day I die!

I went here for years because it was close and I did get a good cut. It’s not a pampering experience but I’m not into that anyway so that was fine. I forgot the name of the person who cut my hair but he owns the place and is cool.
