Be quick to decide what you want because patients behind the counter and behind you in like is not nearly as abundant as the fresh toppings available. You get to pick one of the already designed salads or design your own which comes with 5 toppings and protein is extra. They ask light medium or heavy on the dressing which I really must say I liked. The salad toppings were nothing out of the ordinary. So nothing to share on that front. Overall. Not bad at all.

Salad world is right here. You can find any kind of salad here with very interesting names. Lines are SUPER long. Portions are huge, I never can finish a whole salad, $ 12 is a reasonable price, you can split it for two meals. I ordered the Cowboy salad, it was pretty decent and mixed pretty well with the sauce, meats and salads. I haven’t got the chance to try their other salads because I always give up waiting in line. Just nobody got the time to that haha, money is time and time is money.

Meh. Salads here are ok, but not amazing. I suspect that the ingredients are not the freshest ever, because the greens lack taste. If you want to get tuna on your salad it costs SIXDOLLARS extra… and you get about 6 small pieces. Kind of absurd — for that price, I better be getting a solid 3 oz. Also, the lines here are REALLY long even at 11:45am. I just don’t get it. To be fair, the portions are huge. But really, what am I going to do with an enormous salad? Leftover salads are pretty much the saddest meals conceivable, and as I mentioned they don’t taste crazy fresh to begin with. Over it.

I don’t know why I ever bother with this place. It’s a very busy location so the employees are understandably running around. However, the level of service for a $ 13 salad is atrocious. I ordered a simple chicken caesar salad with no croutons. First, they ran out of chicken. Don’t ask me how, but they did. Instead of informing me, the guy runs back to the kitchen for 5 minutes without saying a word. He comes back and tells me he’s going to cut me some chicken and to just wait a few more minutes. Cool, no problem. The caesar without chicken is not much of a salad in my mind. I wait a few more minutes and out comes my salad or should I say my croutons with a side of caesar salad. At this point, I’ve been there too long to argue and if I ask for another salad, they’ll either have to pull the chicken out of the current salad or I’ll be waiting another 10 mins for more chicken to be made. So fine. I’ll eat around the croutons. I go to pay and the cashier asks if I have anchovies on it. I have no clue, but didn’t tell the guy who made my salad to necessarily exclude them so I say yes, there are anchovies, giving him the benefit of the doubt. I ask her«why do you ask about the anchovies? do you charge more if I get them?» Seemingly annoyed that I would ask such a ridiculous question, she replies, «no, we charge less if you don’t get them.» Brilliant!!! It came as absolutely no surprise that there were no anchovies on my salad. I think what bothers me most about this place is that they print money, yet feel no need to surpass the level of service you’d get at say, Lee’s Deli. So please keep your overpriced salad. I’ll find another place to get lunch.

Just had my first bad Mixt Greens salad. The other Mixt(in the Commonwealth alley) is always great. My design-your-own salad had wilted butter lettuce(seemed a few days old), barely any toppings and the container was 2⁄3 full. I’m still hungry. Plus the woman making my salad could not have been more miserable. Although the line was short I will not be going to this restaurant again.

I really like this place but I just can’t afford it more than once per week. Based on the quality of the good, I give it 4 stars but the price is 3 stars. One thing I really like about this place is that if order one of their signature salads but remove one item, you can substitute for something else. I know this might sound silly but a lot of places don’t do that. The salad are big, you will be plenty full by the end of your meal.

Mixt Greens, I don’t appreciate that once I get to the counter to order my salad, you pull someone to train to prepare a salad. He was so confused and made sounds like he was having a hard time tossing the greens around in the bowl, and didn’t want to work. As he was packing the salad into the container, the person training him had to add a few more leaves of greens. I paid $ 13.38 for a small salad that only fills the container by 2⁄3(your salads used to fill the container!). Its sad that my last few visits here, the quality/quantity salad has been decreasing. I will not be coming here anymore. Three strikes, out!!!

I call this place my impulsive-healthy-eating binge eat, for those days when money-and-food-starved good old me is sick of $ 4 Safeway sandwiches or overcooked home-made dinner leftovers. Yes, it is expensive at $ 12 per salad but the portion is HUGE — enough to feed at least 2 people. Is it the freshest? No. Are the salads mouth-wateringly good? Depends on what ingredients you choose. Will you have to wait in line? Yes, but it moves super fast. Would I come here every day? Well, I’m not made of gold. But like the Starbucks of made-to-order salad, it definitely does the job when you’re in the mood.

Great, fresh, locally sourced food. It is a little pricey but I am willing to pay a little more for locally sourced food. I ordered the«park» which is an unusual and delicious fall salad. I will go back. I can see them from my office and every day by noon the line is out the door so either go early or be prepared to wait.

I’m so surprised this place only has 3 stars yet the line is out the door everyday. Is it the price? Standard lunch price for a meal in the FiDi. You can’t find a place for cheaper than 10 bucks unless you’re going to settle for Mickey D’s. I’ve tried a multiple variety of their salads. The hatch, the park, the bachelor, the cowboy, the ceasar(w/anchovies), and the Maui. My least favorite was the Maui. The tune has a coriander crust– and apparently I’m not a fan of coriander. It really changed the flavor of the salad and was a bit overpowering. All of their other salads were very tasty. They promote the use of organic products and that’s always a plus!

Today, I’m clairvoyant… You’re going to snake through all the standing room in this prime take-out place to throw down $ 10 – 15 for a made-to-order salad and small piece of bread that comes in a compostable plastic tub. It’s going to be so satisfying and gratifying you’ll want to do it tomorrow. Or everyday. Howeva, me being Miss Frugal, I think that with more effort and planning, you could easily recreate any of their salads for a fraction of the price. You’re paying for convenience and location here. In my book, that is ideal for travel and real estate, but not so ideal for perishables or your pocketbook. Also howeva, these are top notch salads. Quality ingredients, seasonal, well thought-out combinations, lots of room for variety. Definitely the high end of the spectrum if you have to eat out in fidi.

Hello All, If I could I would provide a no star rating. Don’t get me wrong the salads are great but the service and consistency does not translate to all locations. Needless to say I will not be coming back or recommending anyone else to come to this location. Top Violations: Hair in Food Poor service by store manager Charged incorrectly Sad that with growth of locations the business cannot manage to it.

Did I find a lady bug in my salad? I sure did. That’s how you know it’s fresh… Could’ve been a fluke, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Also, don’t use their silverware bc every time I’ve stopped by it’s always been dirty. Every. Time. Maybe the ladybug wasn’t a fluke… I personally think paying around $ 10 for a salad is a bit outrageous. I’d rather grab a really good sandwich elsewhere bc honestly, the options they have for your freestyle salads can make your salads totally unhealthy. And it gets real noisy in here with the crowd of people so you end up shouting your order to the salad tosser.

Good salad, everything else meh. Employees are nice, but it’s loud in there and they always mumble. I don’t want to sound racist either, but their usually Hispanic and have accents, which doesn’t help with the point above. Also I’m not down with paying $ 12 for a salad and the portions here are huge Tip: get your dressing on the side and stretch it over 2 meals. The other location a few blocks away is way better.

I’m not a huge fan of healthy stuff. Give me deep-fried over fresh, organic any day, except while I’m harboring this parasite, I mean, gestating this baby. Since I am slightly anemic, doc orders me to eat more red meat. So being a good patient, I get The Bachelor with the steak and tangy, delicious balsamic vinaigrette. When I remember, I ask them to skip the blue cheese, since I’m not sure it’s «safe.» The Mixt Greens folks tell me it’s pasteurized, but I’m hesitant to believe them, because their English isn’t always so great, and I can’t say for a certainty they knew what I was asking, when I asked if the blue cheese was pasteurized.

Didn’t find my $ 15 salad too impressive. Lots of lettuce but not that many toppings. Added Ahi Tuna and it had a flavorful crust. That was it. Purchased the Disco for my colleague and I found it rather on the small side. I know he’s not full.

This place is kitty corner from the office and I just love to come here and get the salads. I have two favorites — the Mixt Cobb and the Maui. I tend to get them kale(healthy greens!) at least half of it if not the entire thing. They have huge portions so I tend to make it two meals — one for lunch and maybe one for dinner. Or the next day. The lines can be long but they move pretty quickly.

Yay, Mixt Greens! :) This place is great for non-salad lovers + salad lovers alike! Lots of options to choose from to customize your salad just the way you like. I was introduced to this fancy salad restaurant by some co-workers, and am now definitely a fan. This location is in FiDi and the lines get pretty long during lunch, so either come early or order ahead of time(next day pick-up). Although their salads may be pricey, they come in huge portions so you are definitely getting your money’s worth. FOOD –My favorite is the Hatch Salad($ 9.95) Kale, Mixed Greens, Avocado, Red Onions, Egg, and grilled chicken with their greek goddess dressing. So good and fresh! I could eat this for days — perfect if you like kale + avocados :) –Custom salads($ 8.95) You can also build a custom salad! The first 5 ingredient/toppings you choose with your greens is already included in the price. Then it is about $ 1 more for each additional item. They have a huge list of specialty ingredients, things like — mango, roasted sweet potato, red quinoa, and edamame to name a few. To add meat it is about ~$ 3+ PROS –Order online for next-day pick-up to save time! Great menu to +/-ingredients from :) –Huge portions, great to order to-go and graze on it at your desk –If you are getting dressing on the side, ask for an extra! 1 cup is not enough. –Comes with a small piece of bread I just had this for lunch and I am craving it again. Nomnomnoms.

So glad that they opened up one RIGHT across the street from my office! The other Mixt Greens always has an absolutely insane line starting at 11am, and The Plant is a) overpriced and b) busy at all hours. I enjoy their sandwiches, particularly The Rooster and The Disco! Awesome plasma TVs for their menu boards and fast service, I’ll definitely be back!
