One of the few bars I would frequent for the past few years. Convenient location. Decently sized tables/booths for big groups. Attic club is still my favorite(RIP) but I got no beef with Mission bar and would dread seeing it change or disappear.

I’m a big fan of Mission Bar. I’d been looking for a while for a good dive bar with cheap drinks and that real dive-y feel. This review gets 5 stars because it is good at the following: Notes: Cash Only, Jukebox, 2 small TVs, $ 3 domestic tap beers and wells in happy hour, $ 4 imported tap beers in happy hour, Pool table, no kitchen What this is: Dive bar with that dive bar feel, great for cheap drinks, usually pretty quiet, legitimately cheap, like(less than) $ 4 beers and spirits to match, dark, grubby, friendly staff What this isn’t: A place to go for dinner, a place to watch ‘the game’, a bar full of hipsters, well lit I probably wouldn’t bring a date here, but would definitely be a good place for a drink after work, or a few cheap beers with a group of mates.

Solid mission dive. No frills, pool table, place to sit, cold beer. When I was in last the bartender was making chili dogs and handing them out for free. Some of the best chili I have ever had too. Don’t bring your MacBooks tech-bros.

Strong drinks for a good price! Icame here with some friends around Halloween, and this place had a ton of sppoky heads on hook and a manikin dressed like a mad scientist. Anyways… We were able to get booth seat and talked and drank and played songs on the jukebox before goign to a roofftop bar down the street. Good times.

My friend is a homegirl lives in the neighborhood all her life so surprisingly I went there for the first time with her and I’ve lived here since 1984! The bartenders were very warm and friendly the drinks were reasonably priced seven dollars for a glass of red wine that’s A good deal for San Francisco! I was feeling the love so I bought one of their T-shirts a white tank top I really like it it’s good so I expect to be there again keep on grooving. Although yes it is deep in the heart of millionaires row techies you make a zillion dollars could you please wear some more Betabrand disco mirror ensembles please bring some sparkly spangly stuff back to the city your 100 shades of gray make me want to drink more.

Just about what I’d hope for from a Mission dive bar, a dying breed indeed. You’ll find great, affordable selections of beer on tap(starting at $ 3 until 7pm), with convenience to public transit. It even has ample seating, as well as a pool table in back. Two small TVs.

Great near-dive bar. Prices are right! Late night rum & cranberry $ 4.00. $ 1.00 grat for the quick, friendly bartender so leave a five or a buck. Stop in after work!

Best place on earth. Best Jamo pours in the city. Last week the bouncer told Drake he couldn’t come in.

Not sure who enjoys being mad-dogged while they try to order a drink, but my guess is not many… I get it… you came from Ohio or New Jersey or LA six months before your clientele, but your job still requires you to ‘not’ pick fights with customers… just a guess.

Cannot beat the beer prices of Mission Bar, especially in San Francisco. Beers on draft can be had for as cheap as $ 3 here and from previous experience, it’s way too easy to get a good buzz for less than ten bucks. It has a dive bar feel to it, with leather booths and stools scattered around, but that’s part of it’s charm. And no better place to satisfy your drunchies craving than El Farolito, which is conveniently located just a few blocks away!

Really enjoyed this place, one of my favorite little joints of the night, but one down fall, the men’s restroom was completely disgusting, the smell was awful and it wasn’t jam packed busy to where there was no time To clean up, other than that, price and vibes were nice

stay away dickbags, this bar is not for the faint of heart. Real peeps, good drinks. Ross n Co. kick ass. If you’re looking for fancy keep looking. If you like complaining or wear shoes that cost more than my rent, fuck off. This is my bar n I love it

San Francisco has a lot of pseudo-dive bars, and while I wouldn’t say this is a real dive bar it comes much closer than most of them. The drinks are a great deal. It was very surprising to see good liquors like Stoli and Makers for $ 5. Bartenders were friendly enough and didn’t skimp on the pours. Even though it was a busy night the pool table remained vacant for a good portion of the time. They also have very favorable rules posted above the table. No doubles. What a relief. Playing doubles is the worst.

Cash only. Be nice to the bartender, you will be rewarded handsomely. ;-) But for real, this spot was a great find! Real low-key, divey(dare I say, local?) bar. This spot was a great little stop on our night out in SF. The drinks were strong and the spot was pretty empty except for some folks playing pool in the back and a few barstools/tables occupied(of which there are not many). The drinks were tasty(and very affordable considering the locale) and the bartender was attentive and moderately friendly. I will bookmark and be back next time I am in The Bay!

Oh, Mission Bar. You fickle friend. Great divey bar to duck into for sure. Cheap drinks, never over crowded. Sometimes there’s a seat to be had, sometimes not. Watch out for the folks playing pool, and protect your drink from errant pool cues. They have some larger booths towards the front that are awesome if you can snag one. A decent place for large groups. No-nonsense bartenders, just the way I like ‘em. The good: cheap drinks, no frills. The bad: cash only. Make it rain.

Cheap happy hour and a pool table. The bartender was real nice and gave my my ¾ cup of Radeberger when the keg kicked. Hooray! Freeeee beeeeer. But yeah, cool bar. No frills. No problem.
