Attended the Hueman show and loved it! Beautiful work, amazing space with such great light. And the gallery director Jennifer was knowledgeable and a joy to interact with. I’ll definitely be back to check out other exhibitions.

Of the galleries that were at the Silicon Valley Contemporary Fine Art Fair, the selection at Mirus Gallery totally aligned with my tastes. We wanted to see more of their featured artist(Sandra Chevrier) so we visited them in SF a few days later. When we got there, Tim remembered us from the art fair and let us browse the amazing space. The entry lobby is on the first floor but 90% of the gallery is hidden away on the third floor, which has long walls and lots of diffused natural light. We were able to enjoy the whole show and never felt rushed or pressured to buy. I emailed them a bit later and they were quick to respond. I’m glad I found a new gallery that shows cool artists and treats visitors as long term customers.

Having now attended most of the opening shows at Mirus, I have finally gotten around to writing a review. First of all, let me say I am an artist who has exhibited in several group exhibits of modern and contemporary art, so I have a bias toward modern art. That being said, I want to say that I believe that Mirus is presently one of the best, if not the best cutting edge gallery in San Francisco. I have been consistently blown away by the quality and excitement of the work that visionary owner and art collector Paul Hemming has gathered locally, nationally and globally. Paul Hemming is never one to have an «inside the box» mindset, and each show, which average about a months duration, features a new theme or solo artist. There are also plans for an artist in residency program in the works. So cool ! The art work thus far has always proved to be exciting and extremely fresh in approach. I have always found it difficult to pull myself away from the gallery without making certain I mark my calendar for the next dynamic exhibition.
