Fantastic view, but the worst service ever! Slow, cold food, no one seems to care! Food just OK. Have a drink and enjoy the view, but that’s it!

Well, it’s OK. The location of the restaurant is great, you can see the sunsets during the dinner. But the every dish lacks of a specialty. Tastes were not bad but not very good.

All I could say as we walked in was WOW! The view is absolutely breath taking and the entire restaurant was just beautiful and extremely elegant. The all glass walls over look the San Francisco Bay with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, just beautiful. Our waiter was very attentive, wine was on point but the food… TODIEFOR! The clam chowder, delicious not to mention the calamari was definitely the best I have ever had! I had the sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes and sauted vegetables. I don’t think I ever had a meal this delicious. I was one happy girl. :) I HIGHLY recommend this place if you wanna make your girl feel extra special. :)

When you’re siting in this restaurant, you feel like you’re taking a cruise along SF Bay. In fact, it s designed to look like a ship and the views are just great! The oysters are always super fresh! Always!!! The drinks are strong and good. Great selection of wines-Duckhorn, champagne and many whites/reds. The food is good too. The reviews about the waiters and staff… well it’s assumed that people come here for somewhat romantic time to be spent together-so instead of waiting for your waiter or playing on your phone-enjoy each other’s company and some good wine. Take advantage of this-there are other places where you get rushed to order and you’re literally asked to GTF out. this isn’t that place. Enjoy your time here!

Meeting friends for cocktails here. The views were spectacular. The drinks were crisp and a good variety. We were there during happy hour. The slight issue was with service. I know the waitress had a job to do but she seemed more interested in getting the utensils ready then checking in us. The bar area was not that busy. But the food was decent despite the service.

I’m typically a fan of this chain’s location. However, i was pretty disappointed when we had dinner there last night, New Year’s Eve. A limited menu was offered which is probably the reason for their shortcomings. Service was excellent. Sherricka was very attentive and friendly, a bit on the quiet/shy side. She was very knowledgeable regarding the description of the food being served, beers on tap, etc. The appetizers(lobster arancini, fritto misto, and crab/mango/avocado tower) were delicious, accordingly to the the rest of the family. However, the restaurant fell short on the entrée portion. Most of the offerings on the limited menu are not typically serviced. We ordered the filet au poivre, prime rib, duck breast, Chilean sea bass, and stuffed salmon. The 1st4 don’t appear to be normally served and were all disappointing. The filet did not have enough of the peppercorn sauce. The prime rib was mostly fat and lacked flavor. The duck breast was flavorless and the root vegetables were too«earthy» for the meat. I had asked Sherricka about the duck and she took a slight pause before saying it was good. I should have picked up on that«tell» to realize she really had no idea how the duck breast tasted. If you really don’t know, say you don’t know! The sea bass was good, but not as good as Yard House’s offering. My FIL seemed to enjoy the stuffed salmon, which is on the normal menu. Desserts were somewhat missing as well. The bread pudding was saved by the white chocolate sauce drizzle. The double chocolate mousse’s white layer had a funny aftertaste to it.

This review if for the bar on a lazy afternoon only. We popped in after walking the tourist area to rest our feet. We went to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks and had great service from the bartender. He made great drinks and was on top of service. While I can’t say much about the food, the bar was a great time on a lazy afternoon.

Disaster… Christmas dinner 2015 was a turning point for McCormick & Kuleto’s. Conclusion: high quality food, well prepared and presented, BUT poor management is killing this landmark. GM Toby Hughes has jumped the shark. The only redeeming values are the kitchen staff and Kuleto’s design work. The food is still 4.5-star solid after decades of eating there, but McCormick & Kuleto’s angered the mass of people waiting inside and freezing outside for a table because they overbooked. Reservations were disappointingly meaningless. It was a little scary at about 8:15 pm as people started getting pushy, angry… bordering on festival seating at the Who concert in Cincinnati(1979). The kitchen was slow due to the oversubscription of reservations, the wait staff wasn’t well trained on the special menu. Management’s fault. I had to ask a manager for water and bread for the table. He lowered himself to busboy status and complied. No apologies. We gave our server a generous tip because he had to deal with poor management on the biggest night of the year. Thanks server David! Goodbye, Toby.

Bar opens at 11:30 … It’s pouring outside and it’s 11:25, no one is in the restaurant and the bartender tells us to come back. We went back and walked in, same bartender … no greeting, doesn’t even acknowledge that we walked in. Such a well known name and such crappy service. SHAMEONYOU!!!

What a horrible experience! The gentleman/host at the front door was extremely rude. I had reservations for a party of 14 on a Friday night and we arrived in two separate groups. Half of my group arrived first and was sitting at the bar and waiting. Apparently they will not seat your party unless most or all of your party arrives. Upon arrival the host says«your party is at the bar.» I then ask«can we be seated first?» He said«go get your party and then I’ll seat you.» But he said this in an extremely rude manner. Very unprofessional. Next, when I originally made the reservation, I was told we would have two round tables of 8 and 7 seats. We ended up with a table of 9 and a small table of 5. What a horrible set up for our party. I’d also asked a host walking by to help find another table arrangement and she said she was going to check. But I never heard or seen from her the rest of the night. All in all, what a horrible experience and unprofessional and unorganized staff. I was skeptical on why a nice restaurant had 3 stars on Unilocal but now I understand why. Save your money and go elsewhere. Food was just OK. Only positive thing was our waiter, Peter was nice and attentive. Too bad the rest of the staff wasn’t. I usually don’t write reviews but this was such a horrible experience, it was worth mentioning.

Watch your bill here folks ours was jacked with deserts we never ordered! Besides horrible service and an unpleasant server the fish was over done and it took close to 45 mins for oysters. It was bad service starting with the host who left a huge crowd just standing in front of the restaurant for 20 mins. Our sides were watery and over salted, for McCormicks I expected more

If it wasn’t for the drinks, the decent finger food(and by that, I really mean just the fried chicken wings) the atmosphere, and the fact that they’re located in Ghirardelli Square and can boast great views of the Bay, this place would not deserve a star from me. I came here for a private event held by my former place of employment, and from such a nice place, I was expecting great food. They had a buffet system going for us, with the main courses being clam seafood pasta, and beef. Every clam shell that was in the platter either had no clam meat or very negligible morsels, and the overall dish was ridiculously oily. The beef tasted quite rubbery, but at least it was digestible. What really disgusted me was the rock hard bread(you could literally throw it at a window and it will break), and the stale, unimpressive dessert assortment presented after the main course(the only winner in the dessert assortment is the fresh strawberries… at least, I hope it was fresh). Well, at least the drinks were potent enough to make me temporarily forget the travesty that was the food. With the excessive amounts of decent and nice-looking restaurants to choose from in this city, you’re better off trying your luck elsewhere.

Great view as you sit comfortably and see Alcatraz. Man I wish this place was still a working prison as there are a number of folks I would send here. But operating this place cost too much, so other venues are now possible for such vacations ;). Oh yeah, this eating place. Like any other in Frisco you have to hike up stairs or a hill, so be ready. She had the pasta with clams and I had the linguine with shrimp. Nothing special, but nice as most of the other places around are burger and pizza joints. We also had the calamari for an appetizer and it was not served very attractively nor was there the spicy red cocktail sauce or what not. I wanted to come here as 20 years ago I came here with my folks, so it was kind of nostalgia Jr dejavu kne would say. Tip and all about $ 81 buckaroos, which ain’t cheap, but in this city everything is super expensive.

Despite the 3-star review, we decided to give it a shot. Now I’m regretting it. I made a reservation but they refused to seat us without everyone being here. Wtf?! what’s the point of having a reservation then? To top that off, they don’t even have enough waiting space. So we have to wait outside in the cold. What a great way to make your customers feel unwelcomed. Very, very poor first impression. I wanted to order some appetizers while we wait, but they obviously don’t want that. We could have ordered drinks and multiple appetizers during the 30-minute wait, but the management clearly do not want that. Zero-stars. Food: Our food was actually mostly quite good, except my friend’s fish. I enjoyed the corn and crab chowder, mixed green salad, side dishes, and pork chop. Four-stars. Dining Service: Our waiter was just great. Very professional, yet friendly. So, the average is about 4 stars.

Great ambiance, came here for a birthday dinner. They print occasion on menu. Now about the food: Ordered the pasta with lobster, walnuts and gorgonzola cream. I felt something was missing the whole time. The walnuts were plain, not candied as they were described on the menu. This dish was definately missing pear, it was too bitter due to the walnuts. My BF’s mashed potatoes were very creamy. He said his stake dish was ok. The Crab Louis Salad was a great portion and lots of meat. Ordered the pesto gnochi, it wasn’t anything special They carry a lot of out of season non local fish? Atlantic swordfish, atlantic crab etc… I would prefer more local options. I only eat fresh local in season fish especially when paying such high prices as here. With the menu due to the lack of local options, I was limited to just a few choices for sea food. Nevertheless the service was excellent. Still reccomend for the beautiful view and ambience. Great for a romantic anniversary. Although foodwise for the price I deffinately prefer Tadich Grill. But Tadich doesn’t have this view.

I really liked it here; from their enormous windows out to the beautiful scenery, to the accommodating waiters and waitresses, this is a perfect spot for a first impressions date or just an outing with the girls for lunch. I used to live by a McCormick & Schmick’s restaurant but was not truly pleased by the food, but here at McCormick & Kuleto’s it’s a whole other realm. It’s not as packed during the day which is good because you get to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed to eat fast. THESTAFF — Our waitress was very accommodating when it came to our needs, and even asked if we had any allergies that would need to be addressed(you don’t get that too often). I never felt rushed to eat fast even If I was just looking out the window. She really treated us like she loved working there. THEFOOD — Like all my seafood affairs, I like to start off with Fried Calamari, and if they have any — some fresh oysters! The Calamari was sub par but their Oysters were amazing! I was astonished by the freshness of their Oysters, as if they were caught that morning. My date ordered their Jumbo Shrimp Scampi pasta which had the cutest mouth watering shrimps topped on which I got to taste a little bit of *winks. I ordered Fish and Chips only because I haven’t had it in such a long time — I could probably eat this for lunch any given day, the way It was cooked was beautiful. As I cut through the fish, I can descry the heat glistening off onto my fork, absolutely beautiful! I would definitely come here again, It was a joy! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Fried Calamari(large $ 13.50) 12 oysters $ 33.99 Fish and Chips $ 18.99 Jumbo Shrimp Scampi pasta $ 26.99

Birthday Dinner for my brother here. Thank you for welcoming our family on the menu! Such a cool and personal idea, I’ve seen this at some restaurants and I think it’s a great idea. We had a party of 7, we sat at the window. I’ve eaten here many times but I wanted my brother to see the view! Just lovely! The service was great and the food delicious Thank you again for making this night special.

You go here for the pleasant and admirable ocean view while having good food to go with it! The scene was very enjoyable and they take big party reservations. Do order up their raw oysters, fried calamari, rich escargot and creamy lobster bisque as starters! I liked their Cioppino and Linguini with clams as entrees! Two of my favorite picks. The fish and chips were a pass for me. Their steak was decent, but it was missing some sort of potato or carbs on the side with it. They only gave veggies with it. Their scallops were not seared well enough to crisp perfection that I prefer. Skip. Staffing was good. The food came out in a timely manner. A recommended place for the bay view with good meals!
