HOWDOYOUGLUE A 6ONBACKWARDS? Stay Away. Very nice people, but many many mistakes. I called beforehand to ask if they took card, they said yes. When I go to pay, «cash only». I mentioned that I had called earlier and they told me they accepted card, but they didn’t care. I had to run across the street to withdraw money, and was charged a withdrawal fee. On top of that, they glued my 6 back on UPSIDEDOWN. Now I have two 9’s on my watch. I didn’t have time for them to pop open my watch a third time. I’d just stay away. Also, I paid $ 15 for the battery replacement(+ the $ 4 for the bank withdrawal). I didn’t realize K & G Jewelers charges $ 6(from what I heard). Numbers are a universal language. How can a person, especially a watch repairman, glue a 6 on backwards?! AREYOUKIDDINGME?

GREAT! Walked into this shop with 3 watches in need of some love and care. Kevin, the owner’s son was very helpful. There is a language barrier with only his parents; be patient and they will help your watches. I waited in and outside the shop for about 30 mins and walked out with 4 watches. While waiting I saw a cute Seiko watch and couldn’t resist; Kevin also resized the watch to fit my child-size wrists. The price for replacing 3 batteries was very reasonable and it was nice to walk out with working watches.

DON’T GOHERE! They scratched the back of my watch and I watched them scratch 2 other customer’s watches! When I called them on it, they said that it was fine and they didn’t do it, then I complained more and they tried to unsuccessfully buff it out. Not too mention that the battery replacement cost $ 8.

STAYAWAY! I would give them half a star if I could. I needed a battery replaced for my watch so I thought I pop in there instead of my usual place on Geary. BIGMISTAKE. The woman sized me up and quoted me $ 8, it sounded high but I figured what the heck I was already here. Once she opened up my watch… she told me there was another battery inside and that was going to cost another $ 6. She quickly changed my batteries but could not put my watch back together. After 30 excruciating minutes she finally gave it to the old man and he put it back together for her. I fail to mention as I was standing there waiting a couple of people came in, one she charged $ 6 and another she quoted $ 7 as that person had a nicer watch. So I knew the woman was overcharging me. Once I finally got my watch back, it rattled inside. I left and drove straight to K & G Jewelers on Geary to have them fix it. The sad part was Lori told me they only charge $ 6 for a basic battery change. I should of just went there and save myself time and $ 14.00.

Strange little shop! I’ve gotten watch batteries replaced here, cheaply and without fanfare. The best reason to come here, though, is to check out what seems to be their obsession with the Bulova watch company. They have old signs and posters promoting Bulova products all over the walls. They have Bulova watches slowly dying in the glass cases. They have some possibly vintage wall clocks behind the counter, and some creepy, forgotten-looking jewelery in the cases on the walls. This place is like a museum…
