My husband and I accidentally stumbled upon Maritime Wine Tasting Studio and we are so glad that we did! This place is incredible! Amazing selection of wines with very reasonable prices, extremely professional and attentive staff and perfectly paired food. We felt right at home the second we walked in. We will definitely be back!

Hey guys, this guy Micah B character Is kind of full of shit. He’s actually a pompous asshole who doesn’t appreciate good wine if it came up and bit him on the butt. Simple fact is, there’s menus with all the prices on the tables so that’s his own fault. So if you want a REAL review on the place, here it is. This place is cool! They have an awesome selection in wine for very reasonable prices. You have the option to pick out your own bottle and enjoy it there. The staff is nothing but friendly at all times with management that has a vast knowledge of wine and would gladly help you select a wine you will enjoy. There’s a small café called Brioche that shares the building with them and the maritime wine staff will gladly set you up with an order while you enjoy your wine and then they will bring your food(or cheese plate, awesome!!) out into the tasting room to you. How thoughtful! It was a great time when we were there and I’m glad that this studio is new to the area! Definitely will be coming back! Thanks guys.

THISPLACEISINCREDIBLE. I don’t remember how I first read about it, but I’m oh-so-glad that I did. Came in on a Friday evening with two friends after being at an extremely crowded bar, and Maritime was the perfect respite with lovely couches, high-top tables, and a bar area to suit everyone’s fancy. Add in some exposed brick walls and string lighting and viola! I had a flight(called ‘A Little Bit of Everything’) and thought it was great. In the future, would maybe like to see a larger selection of white wines on the tasting menu. Most definitely would come back. They were also advertising pretty heavily that they rent out the venue for events — and ever since I’ve been racking my brain for some event I could have there. Would be adorable. Love this place.

I don’t even understand how someone rated them a «1star»!!! Not true at all… I found the menu sitting at the table(in fact there are menus everywhere including the couches and tables) they are very knowledgable and a great atmosphere! I hope they have live music soon! Glad to see something like this in the neighborhood.

At Maritime wine tasting company they are going to ask you if you want a glass of wine without even being considerate enough to bring you a menu first. Then they are going to ruin your diet with a huge carb load of free breadsticks that taste terrible and are terrible for you. The refined processed enriched flour based breadsticks will spike your blood sugar and send your heart racing uncomfortably. I didn’t have a good time. The staff bartenders who were there were like«we are going to leave you alone» why? I don’t want to be alone? Worst bartenders ever. Then the bill came and it was like $ 35 dollars for two glasses of red wine. I could have gone next door, to the bar less than 15 feet away, Spec’s historic San Francisco bar, and gotten two glasses of red for $ 5 dollars each. The price was a huge nasty surprise first of all because they didn’t let me see a menu first, and second because its so out of touch with the rest of wine prices at other bars in San Francisco, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Oakland, Alameda, and the whole rest of the bay area. What the hell! These people are thieves stealing your money, with terrible service, and over priced terrible products. I am very unhappy that I decided to stop by and try them out. What a lousy experience. There is no parking, no valet, no private lot, no street parking, and no ticket validation because there isn’t even a pay parking lot.

A wonderful addition to Northbeach and San Francisco!!! This has become my go to place on long breaks to try great flights or by the glass. Katie has a wealth of great wine knowledge and the staff is fantastic. Run! Don’t walk to this place. The lounge areas are also a great place for get togethers with friends… Drink at the spacious bar or long tables. Highly recommended!!!

My wife and I adored this place. Large selection of wines by the glass or bottle at very reasonable prices, especially given the quality. The space is spectacular and the people are authentic and very helpful. We felt like we were hanging out at a friends’ house – albeit a friend with a gigantic house and A LOT of wine!

I am so happy that Maritime came to NB! They had excellent wines and besides that they had amazing customer service! Lauren and Katie made our group of four feel very welcome and they listened to exactly what we wanted and recommended wines that we all loved. Thank you Maritime! I can’t wait to make this my go to wine spot!

Welcome to North Beach, Maritime! It is hard to believe that this space used to be a stuffy office filled with tragic cubicles. The owners of Maritime had an amazing vision for this space and delivered. The exposed brick, lighting, wiring, displays of bottles of wine — every detail is well thought out. Even the menu covers are made from thin pressed sheets of wood rather than another form of paper. This elevated but not overbearing atmosphere makes Maritime the perfect place to meet with a friend and grab a glass(or bottle) of wine. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, with a few tables, a couch, and some bar space to sit at. When I was here for the soft opening, all the seats were filled but it never got too loud although everyone was having a great time conversing with the wine specialists and each other. Now, on to mama’s favorite subject: WINE. Maritime offers great wines from both Napa Valley and all over the world. You can do tastings, enjoy a glass or bottle in house, or buy a bottle to take home. I sampled wines native to California along with several(generous IMO) tastings of varietals from Italy, Spain, and a rosé from South Africa. You can have a glass of wine and for an additional $ 4 a person, they can pair the wine with chocolates, olives and cheeses. I am no wine connoisseur, and can barely get by with the terminology, but not once did I feel pressured or judged by any of the lovely ladies helping me. I even felt safe enough to meekly tell one of the specialists about my long ongoing quest to track down a sweeter Syrah I had once had a sip of at a friend’s dinner. We haven’t found it yet, and now wanting to try a port, I instead opted to try the amazing pinot noir from Spain and ended up having a glass of that. This is a great gem needed in the North Beach/Chinatown neighborhood and I’m looking forward to my next trip back!
