they were kind enough to set up shop in front of my gallery for several events. Not only are they the nicest people ever but the madeliene’s are to die for. Oh and don’t even get me started on the chili they make SODEEELICIOUS!

Some of you may think that the street food/truck/cart thing is out of hand but what it HAS provided is an outlet for good eats to get to the people. I probably wouldn’t have found these folks if they hadn’t hit up the Moxsie Street Eats event that happens every Friday in Palo Alto. Not only were they selling their namesake Madeleines but they made some really awesome Bacon Guinness Chili with a Jalapeño Cornbread madeleine to boot! Finished off with a 3 pack of pineapple madeleines. Great tasty lunch with the ex-coworkers…I hope they travel around to more south bay locales…

Great food vendor! A must visit. Guava strawberry sells out quick. Follow them on Twitter and get there early.

these incredible, moist, intensely flavorful madeleines have been my number 1 ‘go to’ dessert lately. new flavors are always popping up and every time you bite into one. you need to have another and since they are also light and fluffy, it’s possible to have several in one night :) perfect for any event and snacks on the side. easiest way to find out where these french treats will be next? follow on twitter @mad4madeleines

M4M is another vendor who debuted at the UFM and later took the plunge onto SF streets. It’s a similar concept to Gobba Gobba Hey in that they sell baked products using interesting flavors — in this case it’s madeleines, little shell-shaped cakes. And they’re not afraid to do whatever it takes to get customers attention. One of the owners wears a Mutant Ninja Turtle costume to market their shell-shaped sweet treats. Yesterday on the menu: Absinthe, coffee bean, guava-strawberry, chocolate stout , organic Meyer lemon with cinnamon , and coconut milk with cinnamon — priced at $ 3 per bag or 2/$ 5(each bag has 3). A surprise menu item was bacon Guinness chili($ 4), but I didn’t try that. Get location updates via Twitter. Cash only.
