The tiger salad was a flavorful start. The Kung pow pastrami was an immaculate, spicy and smoky delight. The fried chicken was unreal. Eat here. Today.

Top10 nod by Open Table and For a first glance was a cool eXperince. Ordered Scallop Sashimi and Rice Porridge — both off the chart good. neXt came the fried chicken!!! Sodium was delivered by the ton and then some. Salty Salty Salty & could not taste the spiciness level(since i requested extra spicy) — on a 0 to 1,000 scale the Sodium is at 900+. Kung Pao Pastrami was Saltly too(our dietary issue and confirmed — they add Mushroom Salt — yes more variation of SODIUM) End of the night assessment… We might come back for the scallops n Chicken Wings(just for our yearly sodium fix) and then bar hop to Valencia. Be warned — Sodium Level HIGH

«Lung Shan» is actually the famous«Mission Chinese» of Danny Bowien fame. (Reminds me of another time I went to look for another restaurant in NYC by name…) Lives up to the hype. When you’re looking for solid, tasty Chinese fare in an urban, non-descript, mom-and-pop setting, THISISYOURJAM. There’s something comforting about this place, like you’ve been to a Chinese restaurant like this before, no matter which American state you’re from. Tangy, sweet, sour, tart, spicy — all hallmarks of taste and senses when it comes to Chinese food. The salt cod fish fried rice, slow cooked pork belly, and broccoli beef are all very good. Hipster Chinese food. Though I couldn’t really hear the music all the times that I’ve gone, they say it is electronica. Also, I find this place really exciting considering a possible celeb punk-chef sighting. Danny Bowien! Maybe next time we’ll run into him! Can’t wait to see what he will cook up next. Takeout note: Lung Shan is located in the busiest part of the Mission, off station 16th/Mission BART, so expect crowds.

Ordered beef noodles and tofu spicy something — split between me and friend. They were great. Portions were good. In fact between me and friend, we couldn’t even finish it all.

This place does a good job of catching people’s eye because they have everyone waiting line up outside. The wait’s not as bad as it seems like it would be. There’s a huge dragon hanging from the ceiling and the ambiance is super awesome. The tables and chairs are slammed in there pretty close together. Music is on point. The food is a little expensive in my opinion, but it was super tasty none the less and the portions are pretty big! If you’re looking for amazing service this is not the place. They’re cranking people in and out as quickly as they can, serving quality food, and providing them with a fun — somewhat cramped — atmosphere. I’ll be going back to explore the depth of the menu. ~ TheWaterGuy

*Service: Of course this restaurant is very popular among youngsters, what youngsters like is not about services but it is FOOD. The service here is very horrible, not even one star. Waiter and Waitress here must get paid very bad or they don’t realize what they are doing, so they are not there to serve you. They are their to JUST take order, bring the food to your table after the kitchen make it. They wait until you are done, they bring the bill to you. While they are walking in the restaurant, they look at the floor or focus their eyes to the kitchen. Don’t waste your energy to wave, to send any signals, it won’t work. If you really need anything, PLEASE help yourself by STANDINGUP and go to them, then state what you want. The restaurant is very dirty, floor is not even using the DIRTYCARPET to cover it. Table lay-out is very dangerous for the FIRE Emergency. If you are sitting inside and there is fire from the kitchen, you must clam down and don’t run and hurt yourself through the chairs and tables including other customers. You will all be blocked and stuck inside. *Place is convenient to come by but it’s SUPERHARD to find a parking spot and meter is very expensive: one quarter for 6 minutes. The area is not great, Mission between 18th and 19th, so safety is on your own any way. *Price is moderate not cheap but towards more to expensive such as $ 12 for Salted Fish Fries Rice-not entrée, $ 16 for Lamb Rib Grilled, all entrees are over $ 10 even some vegetarians are made from TOFU. *Products(food) are very delicious; thats why this restaurant can still survive. *Promotion: None I hope this review help you to decide if you want to go to this restaurant.
