It’s gorgeous, but the place(and all of Golden Gate Park) needs better signs. If you don’t know exactly where your party is, you could waste a lot of time driving and/or walking around. There’s plenty of room to run around, play, fly kites, attract/avoid seagulls. If your kid wants to go in the jumpy-jump but you don’t know whose jumpy-jump it is, who cares? Sidle up, surreptitiously learn the name of the birthday boy or girl, and drop that name like it’s hot if anyone asks you anything. This review is almost over, but why are there suddenly French people arguing animatedly downstairs? What is going on with my neighborhood? I really can’t imagine my downstairs neighbors inviting a bunch of Frenchman and –women over. Maybe they’re next door? They all sound like Jean-Baptiste, which is both comforting and slightly frustrating. It’s June 21, 2014, by the way, and I believe this is review No. 1,999. At least they’re listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Now if that one French cover band could only get a singer. I’m pretty happy that Aaminah invited me to her graduation party at Lindley Meadow. I love Golden Gate Park. Even without better signs.

Had a birthday party here on memorial day weekend. It is a great space, but get a reservation! There were several«squatters» who were getting there super-early and then camping out. They were then disappointed to get kicked out when the person who paid for a reservation showed up. We had spot 14 and it was a little too shady for my taste. Spot 15 was tiny. I recommend 16, though, it was a in a great space closest to restrooms.

What a fun place for BBQ, out door sports, jump houses, and family fun! I just went here last week with the Galing Bata Summer Program for our end of the summer family fiesta! We reserved our tables in advance and also were able to get permission to have a jumper for our students. There’s lots of parking which made it very easy for our families to join us. We took the bus from our site, Bessie Carmichael Elementary School, since not all parents are available. We had 2BBQ pits and our tables were located very close to the bathrooms. We reserved tables 12 and 13 for those of you planing events. Each of the tables has garbage and recycle bins. Bring supplies to clean the grills and possibly extra garbage bags if you have a particularly large party. The bathrooms are located up a dirt hill, and the entrance to the field slopes down. I did not see any entrances that were accessible for those with disabilities or injuries that would not permit them to walk down or up hills. The one thing that did bring down our day was the weather. It was drizzling here and there, and the grass was a little slippery and muddy. However, it did clear up and our kids and families were able to enjoy the day. There is lots of parking along John F. Kennedy Drive so that was not a problem. We as a summer program use this spot every year and our families always enjoy it. Until next time, happy grilling and remember, only you can prevent forest fires!

Great Place for a group gathering in the park. There are grills for each site and receptacles for garbage. Reservations are a good idea, and they’re only $ 27 for up to 50 people from 9am to sunset. Bathrooms are a bit of a hike, but you can’t have it all!
