The beef and lamb shwarma wrap that I got was way overpriced for the $ 12 I paid. A good wrap would have been worth that money. It was edible. The wrap(«tortilla») itself was badly overcooked, dried and hard(not to be mistaken for«crispy») and whoever wrapped it was pretty poor at the job. The silver foil in which it was delivered was wrapped right into the filling and I had to deconstruct the whole thing to remove the wrapper and avoid eating any of it. The ends of the flour wrap were not folded over properly and half the filling fell out. I ended up having to throw about 25% of the food away because it was falling out and making a mess. I would not go back in a hurry.

A delicious lunchtime spot, if not on the pricier side. It’s usually bustling with all sorts of office horses, so seating is a particularly tricky issue until the post-lunch rush. The platters are huge and if I were to take that into the buffet-style scooping stations, I would end up paying a digit more than I’d like. I stick to the take-out box and fill up on meats. The fried fish is lightly spiced and satisfies my fried food craving without weighing me down. The falafel is surprisingly memorable being neither coarse nor stiff. The choice of curries is bewildering, usually four or more, and I can’t help but double scoop each. The chow mein completes the sort of cosmopolitan lunch adventure, but I’m not a huge fan of the stringy and dry noodles. This Mediterranean grab and go is a great find for me and coworkers, just go light on the ladling– I went into the ~$ 20 range and a got a free San Pellegrino as a consolation prize? Will and have already come back

I was disappointed when I went here for lunch… I thought it was going to be like the Lighting Foods that was on Mission St. Not even close, the empress chicken is not the same as other foods, the only thing that is the same is serving plates.

Erstwhile Café Med, quite a popular place, primarily a buffet which charges by the weight. Wide variety of items including naan bread and some indian gravy items, which sets it apart from the other similar eatery across the street. Charges a bit more by the pound, maybe for the wider variety, nothing to crib about on the food quality, pretty decent. The huge crowds thronging this place during lunch time speaks volumes about the loyal patronage it enjoys. Lunch spread includes salads, meat options(both fried and with gravy), noodles, etc.

This place was much better — and had Mediterranean food — when it was Café Med. Now the restaurant smells overwhelmingly like low-quality Indian food… because they have *a lot* of spurious looking Indian food on the hot bar. And a few mediocre quality Middle Eastern things like hummus and tabbouleh. The hot sauce tastes like ketchup — and looks like it too. Not worth it, even at 50% off after 2PM. I’ll have to find a new go-to spot.

Lightening foods is a great place to have lunch. They have an incredible selection in their buffet and charge by the pound. I’ve also had their falafel and hummus here, it’s seriously amazing and full of flavor. The interior is clean and spacious, I have lots of room to move around and meet up friends here. The staff is super nice and attentive, definitely recommend going here for lunch.

I come here a lot of lunch since my office is only a few minutes away. I love lunch buffets and this place definitely has a wide selection of yummy mediterranean. Definitely quick and easy, prices are based off of weight. I must say, I love their meatballs, they are my favorite and my go to! Their spinach and tiki masala are must get also! I personally prefer this place than Chez Fayala(which is across the street), it’s just more clean and has more choices.

I love this place. I was a little worried that I wasn’t going to be able to fill the giant dog tray I grabbed at the start of the buffet, but those fears were quickly assuaged as I quickly dumped over 3 delicious pounds of chicken, fish, hummus, and assorted hot, salty food items into the dog tray container. I’ve since come back multiple times to do the same, never learning from my mistakes and always overeating. Always delicious. Always way too much food. Still the best thing I’ve ever eaten out of a dog tray in my life. PS Don’t forget you get a free drink with any dog tray purchase. This isn’t advertised, but take advantage! A dog tray of salty food needs something to quench your thirst!

This place is pretty great for grabbing a quick dog tray of food for lunch. I’ve had some great memories with my co-workers grabbing about 2.5 lbs of food for my dog tray. I start to salivate when I walk down Pine imagining my dog tray.

They have a great lunch buffet here that offers a variety of food by the pound including various vegetables, meats(fish, chicken, etc.) and mozzarella sticks(!). They also give you a free drink if you go over a pound. This is well and good, but the real kicker that really elevates this food spot is that you can get your meal in a big dog tray. These dog trays are about the size of a medium pizza in radius, and have a depth of around 2.5 inches. This allows you collect all the various dishes that Lightening Foods offers in one convenient vessel, the dog tray. They also offer a to-go container but it is not nearly as practical and stylish as said dog tray. I would definitely recommend going here for general hunger as well as for trying out mediterranean style foods. And of course for using the dog tray containers. They also have a great outdoor seating area that is spacious and segmented off from passerbys. This also brings to light another advantage of the dog trays. They are heavy enough to not get blown over or away on a windy day but are light enough that they can be carried with ease(the dog trays, I mean).

My favorite place to grab lunch in the FiDi. Great selection and awesome burgers. They get busy during lunch but the staff is always nice and attentive.
