Usually pretty unfazed by poor or odd experiences, however a few bites into my falafel wrap I noticed an odd flavor. A few bites later I bit into something hard and spit out a band aid. Not sure the flavor and band aid were related but the disturbing part was how unsurprised the staff was on what I found in my food. To their credit they gave us another round of drinks and weren’t jerks about it. Knew it was to good to be true when we had a whole place to ourselves to watch the warriors game.

Kubideh! Their ground meat kabob over saffron rice is delish. Gyros are also very good. Service is excellent(for my Eat24 pickup order) and they have a real(or fake?) Chihuly glass sculpture inside, pretty awesome for a random kabob/Mediterranean restaurant. Their tahdig(sp?) burnt sweet rice isn’t that good though. Too burnt and hard to eat. Make sure you order online for pickup /delivery. I’ll be back for more kabobs.

The smell of delicious channa lured in my veggie appetites in to this hidden delight right in the middle of Fremont and First street. One of the best features about this place is that you can find Persian, Indian and Italian flavours under the same roof, maybe even mix and match dishes to your custom palate if you order. I have started to regularly eat here recently, not just because of the friendly staff, but also because of the speed of delivery. The channa masala and the spinach paneer are my favourites in Indian, while the veggie combo pizza is equally delicious. The fresh lentil salads are also one of the best side salads I’ve enjoyed in the city. Sometimes, like today, the chef offers surprises, in the form of pastries or cakes. Today’s upside down pineapple cake was one of such delicious surprises, and one for just $ 2 makes a filling, yummy dessert!

Small eating area and the food is decent. Its not the best pizza in town and far from the worst but overall, its decent. However, I’ll keep coming back for happy hour! Best deal I’ve found in the financial district yet. When you pair that with the pizza, its worth a bonus star! We had to order at the counter and the overall time to get a pizza was about 35 minutes and they weren’t busy. Thus, they could improve in that area. Its a thin crust pie which could use alittle more sauce but the quantity and quality of the toppings was not bad. The crust was cooked just right. Happy hour — while you wont have the ambiance of looking out over the bay or a sunset view, if you want to have a few beers with friends and not break the bank, this is the place to be. Bottled beer was a great variety. Nothing on tap. Bottles of wine available too. My kind of hang out and chill place where you don’t have to worry about impressing anyone or being over charged.

Umm what? Indian Italian? Such a GREAT idea!!! My brother and I were walking around and found it and it was one of my favorite meals in SF! We got the Indian options, chicken tikka masala and chicken curry! Portions are very fulfilling and the food was amazing! Their rice is really good and their salads are fresh and crunchy

They have good variety of food. I love their kabobs, Chicken Tikkeh Masala and their Mediterranean side dishes. The people are friendly. Its quiet economical and tasty as well. When you were growing up you would’ve been incepted with a tagline that the happiest place on earth is Disney land. Well that has now changed for me, since the moment I entered this food land called«Cello». The aroma of the Pizza’s and Indian dishes gets into your nose and literally drags you to taste the life altering food experience. And to get you even more awestruck this place redefines«Happy Hour». 3 bucks for a beer and 4 bucks for a glass of wine. That’s a steal… This is place is really fun, inexpensive for«San Francisco» Don’t Miss it I would recommend the Spinach panner and the Masala Dosa, not to forget their signature dish, Chicken Tikka Masala «Its the pinnacle of mouth drooling taste which lives in your memory and the happiness which stitches to your soul».

Dont even try. Basic food and service. Luckily I was starving so I actually ate my meal. One extra star for the nice psuedo glass art piece.

While the«pizza and curry» concept kept me away for some time, I was surprised to find out that this is a surprisingly passable lunch spot. With the same thinness and elasticity of their naan bread, the lightly-charred pizzas eat like a New York dollar slice, and easily beat out the walking-distance competitors for flavor. I only wish they were actually a dollar — I get that this style is something of a novelty in the Bay Area, but they are charging for more than you get. The Eastern dishes are pretty standard, with the veggie biryani and saag paneer being the standouts. It’s hard to find hearty meat-free meals that don’t make you hate yourself, so these are two great options for lunchers. I wish that the service was a bit more«with it» — to go is often made to stay and vice versa, the naan is occasionally undercooked and doughy, and they should really fish the aromatics out so that I don’t end up with a bay leaf between my teeth… again. But overall this is an ok spot worth hitting up every now and again.

Terrible. Burnt first slice, and then tried to pawn off a different slice. Will never go back.

Since I work in the area I’ve been here a lot. Sometimes the pizza is great, other times it’s okay. After 2 pm they have deals, and happy hour later in the day which is nice. I’ve gone in after work to do a little writing, and eat both a slice of pizza and a kebob. They didn’t judge, which makes them pretty good people as far as I’m concerned.

It was my first day working in SF and didn’t know the area too well. After walking around and not wanting to wait in a long line, I stubbled upon this restaurant. I ordered the beef kekob lunch special with vegetables and rice. First of all, I asked for brown rice and got white. There were little vegetables, maybe 3 pieces. And two pieces of kekob, which tasted so dry. I had to dip it in their white and green sauce.

Used to go here a lot. Took my staff for lunch we ordered curry and masala. I love these dishes because the older gentleman makes the sauces and always let us try them. This particular day we were a bit hungry, so we dined in. While eating I notice a hair near my masala and what I thought was rice ended up being a worm. The owner was informed and when I went to receive my refund he acted surprise… wow! Needless to say I will never go back.

I used to go here a lot because it is near my office and the food was good. I haven’t gone here for maybe a year now, I went today and yuck! I paid for extra naan and I told the lady please give me naan cause every time I order naan by the time I get to work I notice I have naan! See what I did there. Anyways, the portions got smaller my effing naan was soggy and they gave me a quarter of a tomato. I asked for no onions and no peppers but got half of a tomato. At least give me the other half of a tomato. So save your money and go some where else like the oasis grill!

I was weary about this place because of the poor ratings on Unilocal, but my client brought me here. Of course, I couldn’t say no. I’m glad I couldn’t. This place is super delicious! I’ve been looking for middle eastern style BBQ meat all over sf and I can’t believe there’s one so close to me! The meats are perfectly seasoned and the portions are decent. Chicken is perfectly cooked!

This is the worst place ever!!! Please do NOT eat here! There’s a reason why no food pics. Our team ordered beef kebob each for dinner and all we saw inside was rice rice rice and 4 – 5 small pieces of beef. This looks like they ran out of meat and just stuffed all our take outs with rice. We spend over one hundred dollars at this place tonight and still starving. Please Cello this need to change!

This place sucks! My co-worker wanted to hit a trendy food truck. Naturally the lines were ridiculous, packed with trend-suckers deluded into long waits. So we went to Cello, cause my co-worker said it was good. He’s from NYC, so I immediately doubted that he has the ability to discern good food from bad. Spot on. I have never had a worse lunch in SF and I have lived here 13 years now. This is beyond a doubt the worst place in town. We waited forever for our order(Kabobs, easy enough), and as I type this while sitting at my desk eating the food is absolutely devoid of all flavor and the portions are miniscule. It is so bad I couldn’t wait to rate them before I finished this garbage. I am big on food for value. This place offers neither. I’ll need a second lunch now. I just know it.

While walking to the truck stop, I saw this really weird place where they had kebob and pizza. Decided to go and give this place a shot and wow, did that surprise me. The menu here is like a jack of all trades and master of none menu. There’s a lot of different ethnicity of food here ranging from greek to italian. == Food == Chicken Tikka Masala came with quite a few pieces of chicken that was cooked on the spot. The chicken was pretty tender and good. The sauce on the other hand isn’t that great. Really watery. The naan it comes with tastes like pizza bread… I can probably guess why. They’re using the same flour for the pizza as the naan. How they make it probably is really similar also. Not really a good naan… or authentic. == Service == Seems like the orders are made to order so it takes a while for the food to be ready. == Overall == Expensive and watery… It didn’t taste really good either. Hard to go back here based on that.
