I have been to this place twice a year and have always sat outside. Today, the gentlemen up front said we could not sit outside and was completely rude with his response. Then he left us up front for about 5 minutes. I think he was hoping we would just leave. Eventually after another waitress came up and asked us if we have been helped, we told her how rude he was and found that his name was Kareem. We were totally brushed off and ignored. Kareem needs to brush up on his customer service skills that’s for sure.

The place is nice and the food is good, specially after a long day shopping at the mall, however the kitchen was too slow. Our server was nice and attentive, we had the 8oz burger, the mac and cheese and the po-boy. Not a great place for kids.

I love this place. Enjoyed seeing Chef and others cooking and rushing food out. That’s the scene makes me enjoyed my food more. The po’boy sandwich was great. I would give them full stars because of this sandwich combination of pork and prawn. Great job with this creation. I got my Happy Belly now

Lark Creek, you continue to be my favorite end-of-shopping day tradition. Thank you for another great meal last night! I sat in the bar area, ordered a hamburger(which isn’t on the dinner menu, but they let me order it anyways) and people-watched. The picture of my burger doesn’t do it justice – it was cooked perfectly to medium and completely delicious. I had great service as always and after a failed attempt at a different restaurant last week, I was thrilled to be back! See you soon, LC – you never disappoint.

Food is decent. We had the following: — pork belly — pot roast — autumn butternut squash rissoto — baked potato — dry cucumber water — mint lemonade — panna cotta — fruit crisp(with ice cream) The total with tip comes to be around $ 127(18% tip) We liked our server — he was very attentive and cordial. We felt bad when the couple next to us didn’t get such a positive attention — dinner rush came in, so they ended up waiting 20 minutes before their server came with water. Not a good way to start. What I didn’t like was the host. We arrived with no reservation at 5pm — before dinner rush. There was plenty of seats inside. When the host asked if we had a reservation, and we said no, he claimed we were fully booked. That was a no-no, especially since I saw empty seats and noticed they have Open Table. I walked a few feet away, whipped out the Open Table app, and saw there was A LOT of reservation available for a table of two. I quickly booked us for 5:15pm, and walked back. We promptly got seated. Note to other Unilocalers: if you don’t have Open Table, you should download it just to make sure this does not happen to you. Especially if you want to eat here. I doubt I will return again — the food is over priced for average fare(I cannot comment on the steak. It is what they are supposed to be known for).

Exceptional service. Our server was extremely attentive with our every need and knew when to step away so that we could enjoy our meal. We have not had this type of quality service in some time. Meat cooked to perfection. Fantastic quality of meat and worth ordering again. Great place to stop and relax with a bottle of wine after a hectic day or just when you want to step inside the restaurant to get away from it all. If you want to do a little people watching, the seating outside is lovely as well.

Came here for my wife’s birthday. Positives: Drinks were good, got the Union Square that made my day. The steak fries were pretty crispy and fried just right. The butterscotch pudding was pretty creamy and tasty. Negatives: Pretty pricey food, $ 16 for 5 shrimps that look like from Costco. Ribeye is average at best but for $ 62 is not up to par. I would go with Alfred’s, Ruth Chris or Morton’s for that kind of money. Also the place is really cold, someone turned on the A/C. Would not return.

Yummy. Got the 6oz FM. Asked for medium rare, definitely was served rare, hence only 4 stars. Creamed spinach is really bomb(asked for no breadcrumbs). Mushrooms were delicious but needed a pinch of salt. The ambiance was hilarious to me because it was darker mood lighting and people were busting out their cell phones as flash lights to read the menu. Literally every other table! Good times. Good food. Good good service.

We came here yesterday to celebrate my sister in law’s birthday. She wanted to go somewhere nice and this place seemed upscale so a party of 5 of us went about 4:00PM. It was completely dead in here, only one other table and two people sitting at the bar. The restaurant is really nice when you first approach it and the food is very expensive so we were expecting something great. Yeah, not so much. This place was awful. First off, the waiter gave each of us attitude when nobody ordered alcohol. Someone in my party is a recovering alcoholic so we never drink around her. When we all ordered iced tea he very abruptly snagged the drink menus from our hands(hello papercut) and aggressively removed all the wine glasses off the table. Um, Ok… So he comes back to take our order. The birthday girl ordered the $ 34 filet mignon, three of us had the cheeseburger and my boyfriend, who is a vegetarian, asked if he could get the veggie burger that is advertised on the website but wasn’t on the printed menu. The server gave attitude and said he would go to the kitchen to see if the cook would be willing to make the veggie burger but he just HAD to let him know that the veggie burger is only on the dinner menu starting at 5:30PM. OK wait a sec… before we ever go anywhere to eat we always check menus online first to make sure they can accommodate a vegetarian. We had all checked this menu a few days in advance to make sure he could eat there so don’t tell us you need to go check and see if they are willing to make it. A-hole.(They ended up making it after all). The waiter started to bring out the burgers one by one and couldn’t figure out who they belonged to so he kept running back and forth to the kitchen and coming back with a different burger each time. It was so odd that a place of this caliber has a waiter that offers such terrible service, especially since he only had one table. As soon as we all bit into our burgers blood ran everywhere all over our plates. We are all well done and medium well done people and these burgers were pretty much raw. I was so disgusted I didn’t even finish eating. I basically just ate the bread and toppings and the fries. The fries were so nasty too. They jipped me on them and it looked like someone had already eaten half of mine. Everyone else’s portions were different too. I was just so disheartened. $ 20 for a burger when I could have paid less than $ 10 for a meal at McDonalds and been 100% happy. We decided against dessert and just left. Nobody seemed to enjoy their meals, it was super expensive and we felt taken advantage of. Everyone left and went their separate ways. Disappointing.

First of all I want this is the worst $$$ restaurant I have been to. Customer Service: 1⁄5 The waiter is a bit rude. He said all the special is on the menu very straightforward. It is a $$$ restaurant, what’s the point of mention the special if we have read it. The restaurant may be slow but you don’t need to come and ask us if were ready like every 10mins. When we are ready you only took wrote down what we want for drinks, how about the food? Since you kept bothering my friend and I so often. Seafood Stew:1/5 Lacks flavor. It taste like tomato soup and its so bland like they got it straight from the can. The mussels isn’t fresh at all. I felt like someone consume half of my soup so was so little. I dont remember having one spoonful of soup. Go to Hogs Island, the seafood stew is super fresh and the portion is generous and its an actual stew where you get spoonful of it. The flavor is just right. Cesar Salad: 2⁄5 You can’t go wrong with salad right? Guess wrong this is my first time ever eating a salad with a knife because they are too lazy to cut the lettuce into pieces. They have time to bother us about the drink and food menu but no time to prepare it. Second they kept asking if im done with my salad. Sir as you can see it takes a longer time because I have to cut it and than eat it. I thought it was a side salad. Be aware when they ask you for the salad, its the main course. I dont get why would they ask if you want two main course. The seafood stew is the main course. Filet Migion: 3⁄5 My friend said it was ok. Usually its the best part of the meal. Overrall: Customer service is super horrible. They rush you to order when the menu is only one page. They don’t bother mentioning the specials even they did mention it was on the MENU. Second the food wasn’t even ok.

My wonderful husband took me to this restaurant last Sunday night(5⁄31) for our dinner date night, before we watched«The Kids in the Hall» show. What a nice place inside Westfield Shopping Center. Classy modern décor, great ambiance, good service, and food. The«Crispy Pork Belly»($ 15) for appetizer was seasoned well, but not crispy like I had(& enjoyed) from other Restaurants. I ordered«6oz Filet Mignon»($ 31) for my main course, and it was good… but nothing special about it. My side dish of «Creamed Spinach($ 7)» was cooked good and delicious. Even though our waiter forgot the sauce for my steak(which we paid extra $ 2), they were pretty good in bringing out your food on time and filling up your empty glass of water. Would I come back to this Restaurant again… maybe, but I will probably try other fine dining Restaurants in that area first.

I had the opportunity to dine at Lark Creek Steakhouse, inside the Westfield SF mall, on Market Street. My friend had made reservations prior to our arrival. For a Friday night, it didn’t seem crowded at all – quite surprising. This was the very first time I’ve ever had fine dining inside a mall. I usually try to steer away from the mall fine dining restaurants because of the large crowds, however this was much better than expected. My friend and I ordered drinks – he had a coffee, and I had 2 glasses of Pinot Grigio. Once we got the menus, it was hard to decide what I wanted because it had quite an extensive menu. I ended up ordering the 12oz wagyu NY strip steak, medium rare. Can’t recall what my friend ordered, but we ended up ordering the sides(creamed spinach & mac n cheese). I have to say that the meat was quality meat, and it was quite savory, however I felt the presentation fell a little bit, compared to what I would order at Ruth Chris’s steakhouse, or Morton’s. Overall service was fine – the waiter did know his facts and knew everything on the menu, which is something that I do look for. I would come back to this restaurant, however I think I may order something else to try a new item off the menu. Overall grade: A

Dining experience? I’m on the fence. Anna Lisa was very nice and explain the menu well. BUT when 4 out of 5 dishes arrived for our party she explained she accidentally messed up and mistakenly didn’t fire the 5th dish. She apologized and offered my friend a complimentary cocktail or salad. My friend(upset) accepted a salad so at least she’d be dining with us. The 4 of us finished our meals long before my friends missing dish arrives. Hey mistakes happen and I was willing to let this go. The food? While my braised short ribs had good flavor it was not fall off the bone delicious. I’ve had this meal when I didn’t even need to use a knife. Also they added SO much sauce that that was all I could taste. My meal came over a bed of mash potatoes that were a bit too runny(too much milk added?)… I felt like the mash potatoes kept running off my fork. My friends didn’t love their steaks(I saw them add salt and pepper) but they were cooked perfectly. A couple of ladies in our party ordered the sea bass and generally this fish should be fatty and moist? I’m afraid to tell you but that’s not the case here. It was more like a cod or halibut texture with a fishy after taste. Dessert? Anna Lisa brought my sister and I a dessert menu cause she heard it was our bday. We both picked one and she added an additional one! She comped the entire dessert which was sweet of her and we really appreciated. The molten chocolate was good/ice cream wasn’t. Butterscotch pudding was alright(I don’t like pudding). Crème brûlée was good, can’t go wrong there. Overall service 4 Food 3

While going on a weekend getaway to San Francisco, we had a ton of spots to pick from already but somehow ended up in the mall where this restaurant was housed. Crazy enough, we were quite tired and lazily decided to try this place out, and although realizing later that they were good for steaks, I ordered a simple pot roast — and thank the good lord — that was the best piece of meat I’ve had in a LONG time. Perhaps we were tired but all the dishes we ordered were quite delicious; girlfriend had the roasted chicken and we shared baked oysters and crab cake. All in all, I would love to visit them again because it was one of the more memorable meals we’ve had despite going to almost all the famous local spots.

Happy hour only review First time here since I needed a much needed break from a long week at work No more happy hr and no straits = fail Opt for lark steak and I’m glad I decided to take a chance Happy hr starts from 4−6pm Lounge, bar and patio seating = happy hr Wines = $ 5 Various bar bites ranges from $ 5 – 12 Great service at the bar especially the two ladies! They kept me company while I wait for my BFF to meet me and Lorsi? Gave me free bread! I didn’t get the African American woman’s name but she was super friendly too :) Food — Must get the wings. I repeat get the wings. Sweet and tender. When was the last time I had wings that just literally fall off the bone? Steak sliders = must get too I know I ordered the steak slider but I got the pork slider but didn’t realize until I took a bite because I thought steak came shredded like some mexican restaurants but they were nice enough to exchange my order with no charge. Awesome steak. Duh especially for being a steak house. Parmesan popcorn with truffle salt = was ok but presentation was pretty. Good snack and portion too and just for $ 5, can’t got wrong with that Overall, great experience and will definitely be my go to happy hour place! Great ambiance(not too fancy) and you don’t feel like you are at the mall, clean bathrooms and great customer service Might even be better than Straits because sometimes Straits can be too crowded and not comfy at all! Thanks for a great night :)

Let me preface this by saying I had a great time having dinner at Lark Creek Steak last Friday. Overall, the food was wonderful and our server was really nice! Probably a 4 star dining experience. Between the two of us, we ordered: Drinks: *Gloria ferrer, private cuvee brut: sonoma($ 9.50 glass) *Handley pinot noir, Anderson valley 2010($ 15.50 glass) *Coke($ 3.50) *Americano($ 3.50) Food: *Amuse bouche: Mushroom soup *Filet mignon steak tartare: raw tenderloin, crostini, fleur de sel, capers, red onions($ 16) *Little gem wedge salad: avocado, bacon, chopped egg, buttermilk blue cheese dressing($ 12) *Perigord black truffle and brie cheese steakburger: frisee, truffle vinaigrette, caramelized onion, sesame seed bun, fries($ 27) *Dry aged, bone in, usda prime ribeye steak, 16oz($ 58): aged 28 days with a nutty taste and a buttery, tender texture *Apple berry crisp: vanilla bean bag cream($ 7) *Pumpkin cheesecake: caramel sauce, candied pumpkin seeds($ 7) *Famous butterscotch pudding: chantilly cream, pecan wedding cookie($ 7) The burger and butterscotch were amazing! The burger was so juicy and tender. The brie and truffle just elevated it and took the burger to another level! Delicious! I’m not a huge dessert person, let alone pudding, but their butterscotch pudding was so good! Nice and creamy and not too sweet. These two items would be the perfect lunch! So why the 1 star review? Horrible customer service on part of the manager. I had ordered the steak tartare solely because of the Unilocal check in deal: free steak tartare. I had a bone in ribeye coming, so I probably would have ordered something other than steak as an app. Unfortunately, I did not check my receipt before I left and was charged for the tartare. I called the next day and the host took my name, number and last four digits of my CC. Said the manager would call me back. By Monday, there was still no word, so I dropped by Lark Creek since it’s by my work. The manager said that it would be easier to give me a free steak tartare the next time I come in instead of a reimbursement. Apparently, it’s a a 20 min process to refund a card. She said she’d give me her business card to redeem the free tartare during my next visit and walked away. After waiting over 10 mins, I decided to ask the hostess if I should keep waiting. She said to go ahead and leave my contact info and she’ll call me back after lunch service, so around 3pm. It’s now Wednesday and still no call. I get it. This is a stupid concern. I’m asking about something that should have been free. But it is $ 16 plus tax and SF Health. And it is the principle, no? Plus, not returning two different inquiries is awful customer service on Lark Creek’s part. I get not refunding my card, but if I was the manager, I would at least offer a gift card for the amount to make up for it. After all, I get another free steak tartare with the next check in, so why even bother offering me that?! It is a shame. I really enjoyed my time here. But I’ll probably never return because of this experience.

My aunt and I met up with my sis here for lunch on a Friday. We were actualy suppose to do lunch next door, but unbeknownst, that restautent went out of business! I wanted to try there because my aunt and sis were just doing lunch there the other week! The Host at Lark Creek Steak saw my sis and invited her to do lunch there instead, haha. And that is how we ended up at this lovely place! Upon checking in on Unilocal we were given as complimentary: FLORIDAWHITEPRAWNCOCKTAIL — $ 15.95 horseradish-cocktail sauce I’m no fan of shrimp but I was hungry and had one. This dish was fine. To me its your standard shrimp cocktail served on a fancier plate with lovely garnish. PERIGORDBLACKTRUFFLESTEAKBURGER– $ 24 truffled brie cheese, frisee, carmelized onions truffle vinaigrette, fries. Oh man 2 things I love and was sold immediately beucase of: truffle and burger. This was amazing. Between the 3 of us we shared this huge burger that was moist and tasty. It is served with a generous portion of thin cut fries that was amazing! I’m so glad we ordered this! FAMOUSBUTTERSCOTCHPUDDING– $ 7 chantilly cream, pecan wedding cookie. suggested pairing: macallan, 12yr single malt scotch whisky $ 14 We totally did the pairing! And they were so mince to split the whikey into 3 servings… so nice! It definitely paired well with the pudding. I chose the puddig because one: I’m a sucker for anything called«famous» and two: I keep forgetting how much I LOVE pudding. I love butterscotch too! That was a very tasty simple dessert! I enjoyed my lunch here. I was with great company, it wasn’t packed, service was wonderful and the ambiance was lovely! What a lovely treat this place was!

Decided to go have some fine dining in the middle of the week to get over hump day, so we go here. There is a pretty good variety of cuts of meat, from prime rib, NY steak to filet mignon. Not a steak fan? Well there is also fish and poultry and even a vegetarian lasagna. There is also some pretty bomb burgers here! Complimentary bread came first. Nice and warm and the butter was perfectly soft. You know how sometimes the butter is way too hard and when you try to spread it, the butter just doesn’t spread at all? That’s not the case! It was super good. They also gave us tiny shotglass of complimentary mushroom soup with a foamy top. We thought«why are they giving us dirty dish washing liquid?» because the color was this nasty mauve with foam on top but it was really good with the bread! Filet Mignon with the Red Wine butter sauce — This was a la carte, so it just came with the piece of meat and a choice of sauce. We got the red wine butter sauce recommended by the waitress, but it was actually quite flavorless. I would try another sauce next time. The meat itself was very good, but not the best filet mignon I’ve eaten. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very delicious and well-cooked piece of meat. Soft, and exactly how I ordered it. Whipped Potatoes — I loved the fried onions on top and this potato is not very dense. It’s very whipped and light. I really enjoyed it. Definitely a good side to pick with a steak. Perigord Black Truffle Steakburger– This was REALLYGOOD. I’m serious. If I come back next time to downtown, I will come here and order this burger. It was perfect and I definitely tasted the truffle flavor. The cheese was melted and I loved the greens on the burger too. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare and the thicker cut fries complemented the dish really well. Though I thought the fries were a little salty. The bun had seasame seeds on it, and the onion marmalade gave it a lot of flavor. Overall, a juicy burger and worth trying over here! Famous Butterscotch Pudding — every single review here talks about their butterscotch pudding. I have no idea what a butterscotch pudding is, but this was sooo good. It wasn’t overly sweet, but perfect to end a meal if you have a sweet tooth. It was smooth and creamy, sorta like a melted Werthers candy. I like the dollop of whip cream on top and the little cookie on the side. I wish I had a large bowl of it and a larger spoon because it was THAT good.

Wow!
