How have I never come here before? It’s kinda like Jim’s but maybe even more down home. They don’t go for décor and design here but if you are looking for cheap eats then this is your spot. Usually not overly crowded and a great value! If you’re looking for a greasy spoon this is your spot!

An oasis of old school in the Mission. Good simple diner food for damn cheap. The family that runs this place are very nice. The ladies bathroom stalls might not have doors but I wouldn’t change a thing.

When I walked in, I was ready to walk out, as it is not my usual breakfast haunt. But I am glad I stayed. Kenny makes a great omelet. The hash browns are fresh and not frozen. Generous portions. The hot chocolate was delicious and it came HOT. Come during the week. Not crowded. Great service. East street parking.

I am a loyal customer because this is one of those coffee shops with the retro prices that make me say«thank you Buddha» for such a place to exist in outrageously expensive San Francisco. They make good daily specials, and the breakfast is not bad at all.

I love this place. I am the general manager across from Kenny’s. Despite of the ugly neighborhood, this is one of the best places to have best veggie-omelette I have ever had and the price is just 7.00 $. It comes with hash browns and toasts. They are really nice people.

Been several years since my last review and nothing has changed. Brought a friend who loves breakfast. He had bacon, eggs and hashed browns. Me? Sausages and eggs. Total came under $ 12 before tip. Love that it’s a mom and pop shop whose been in the Mission since 1990s. The neighborhood is gritty – but that’s part of the Mission’s charm. Will def. come back. Great service, great food, great price.

Been coming here since I was a kid! Only place acceptable to eat fried rice and a bacon cheeseburger! Delicious! Lee and May are like family! Always love getting the chance to eat here

I am giving this place 5 stars with no hesitation for its value for price. That being said, be realistic about your expectations. If you are looking for simple but decent food for a ridiculously low cost for the area, then you might be a regular of this place. Only downside(for some people not me), is the fact that you will be seeing a lot of homeless people walking in and out of the restaurant. If you are such an elite that does not want to eat at the same place with homeless people, well maybe you should not be staying in Mission in the first place.

Week after week I keep coming back, one of the best diners in the city. Family owned and operated for over 20 years! Stop on in, have a great breakfast, and support an essential neighborhood establishment!

Good portions for super low prices and family owned! It’s a quick getaway from Mission café’s where it’s crowded and expensive.

$ 6 for an omelet, hash browns, toast, and bottomless coffee! The omelet was decent, and the portions were huge. I doubt I will ever find another meal in SF for $ 6 as big and as good for the money as this. The downside is this place needs a tuneup. If they can put some money into fixing the seating and making the bathroom presentable, I would be a regular.

How many places in sf can you sit down and eat for under $ 6 a plate? And I’m not talking one or two dishes. Kenny’s offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with a majority of offerings at that price. Plus the entertainment is free. Just sit down at the bar and listen to your neighbors. You’ll find out who got busted last night and on what charges, how someone was thrown out of their SRO last night(«that was bullshit man!») Or the trials and tribulations of domestic violence. If you don’t get into cop shows on TV maybe CSI: San Francisco Live is for you. Eggs, bacon, toast, coffee under $ 6? I’m a regular!(Mmm, the sweet smell of a fresh bag of pot is eminanting from the nice lady beside me. Better get outta here before a bust happens…)

So very surprisingly cheap AND good. Combo of breakfast and — wait for it — Chinese. Who would have thought they have the best Chinese-style Curry Chicken in the city? And their food comes out piping hot and is a generous portion! No ambiance but if you’re a child of a mom and pop Chinese restutant this is a trip down memory lane.

This place is effing cheap. Seriously. $ 4.50 for an omelet, hash browns, and toast? Kenny’s is a super barebones, classic diner. It’s exactly what I want in a diner and the eggs were actually not that greasy. They even let my friend and I swap out for egg whites and our total meal cost $ 12. I’d come back.

Because breakfast shouldn’t break the bank. Or you just need a cure for that pounding headache reminding you all too well what a night you just had — a booth’s got your name written all over it. A perfect place to recover — no frills, nothing you don’t want, just solid, old-school, greasy spoon, comfort food. Omelettes, hash browns and toast for a bit over $ 4, how can you go wrong?(Yes, actually tasty, too. Crisp hash browns? Score!) Bring cash or be prepared to wash dishes.

I have an unabashed love for greasy little diners that time forgot, and that is why I fell for Kenny’s. Not only do they serve canned peach halves, they even use these adorable dishes I swear my grandmother had. So it’s pretty much like eating at my gramma’s, plus a dash of 16th& Mission local flavor. My only complaint is that my breakfast could have spent another minute or so on the griddle. Next time I’ll order my eggs and hashbrowns a little more well done.

I want this to be my daily hangout. I really do. I can get steak, scrambleds, toast, browns and coffee for $ 11 with tip. But that’s one damn thin steak and two runny eggs. Doesn’t help that the seats are falling apart and the TV’s always on to the most depressing daytime movie or game show. The décor is depressing, but those ads for Metamucil just drive the point home: if you’re in here, you’ve failed at being a productive member of society. Save up and go to a real diner. This dump makes Barton Fink look like James Bond. Still, the couple who runs it is pleasant, and sometimes you just need a piece of meat under ten bucks.

There’s something reassuring about the fact that places like this still exist. The counters are peeling a little, but the old fashioned shake machine is still there. The tables are a little aged and the seats are uncomfortable. The rock wall leading to the kitchen is an anachronism at best. But still, the food is dead cheap — maybe the cheapest meal I’ve ever had in San Francisco. Pretty standard diner fare, breakfasts, burgers, shakes and the waitress is surprisngly attentive. My dining companion and I both had quite filling breakfast plates(pour moi: eggs, sausage, hash browns english muffin, ice tea; pour il: corn beef hash, eggs, hash browns, toast, coffee) and we got out of there for $ 12, stuffed to the gills.
