I won’t recommend this café. Everything is over priced and taste below average. The lady working here is rude, the way she talked and her facial expression made me feel disrespected. And she been making noise by tapping hard on the counters, throwing things to the sink and slamming the doors of the fridge and cabinets. It made me feels like she wants to kick customers out by annoying them.

The worst café I ever been. The staff is super rude! I don’t feel the people here wanna treat customer at all. Or maybe the staff just don’t satisfy with their job. That’s ok. I will not come back anyway. Good bye!

Gross smoothie. I asked if it was just fruit, plain yogurt, juice and no sugar. She said yes but it tastes sickly sweet with a chemical aftertaste. I had to throw it away.

It’s simple customer service to use the restroom at a café. I bought a coffee and my sister wants to use the bathroom, so she tries to go but is denied because she isn’t a customer. I understand if you aren’t a customer you can’t use the bathroom. But I bought a coffee so she can go and I won’t use the bathroom, there is no difference. What’s one flush of your toilet to leave your customers happy to have bought a coffee here? Leaves as bitter a taste in my mouth as the iced coffee I bought.

Walked in with my sister so she could buy a coffee. As I walked to the restroom, I was quickly stopped by a lady working who refused to let me use the restroom even though we were customers. I could only flush her precious toilet if I myself bought a latte too. Nice service

I ordered a chai latte and turkey sandwich and was very satisfied with each! It’s a great stop if you’re walking around Valencia and need a break or snack.

Cute neighborhood spot, doesn’t try to be anything pretentious. You’re not going to find edison light bulbs and reclaimed wood walls here but food is good, service is nice, and you can spend a relaxing afternoon here. Had a yogurt strawberry-blueberry yogurt and a slice of blueberry coffeecake which were great. They have free wifi which works well. Not a lot of outlets but one of the booths in the back has an outlet under the table. I’d happily spend another afternoon here.

We stopped by here after shopping at 1−2−3−4 records Go! We ordered a Mocha and White Mocha. The espresso was good. The white mocha was delicious and it had a hint of almond or Amaretto flavor.

What a neighborhood coffee shop should be. Affordable, fast, have skim milk available, and friendly. Feel good supporting a local business and getting my morning Java!

Needing to kill some time while my bike was getting fixed next door, I duck into Javalencia for a cup of something warm, and to use the bathroom. The service was nice, the bathroom clean but inviting. Free WiFi too! I had an Apple cider and it was delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Hmmmm, I see now why the bad reviews. It depends who is working. A new person(woman with glasses) helped me last time and she was very unfriendly. First, she just ignored me even though she was 2 feet away from me on the other side of the counter and I was clearly standing at the register to order. After I asked for her to help me, she seemed annoyed and then completely overwhelmed that I asked for no lettuce, sprouts or onions on my sandwich. She wanted me to list what I did want on it, so I referred her to their own menu bigger than life on the wall behind her and said I want the other ingredients for this sandwich. She asked me again what I didn’t want and appeared to be writing it down this time. As she was typing my order into the register I asked for a receipt. She totally ignored this request and walked away. I asked again and she seemed very bothered and I got a receipt for just my sandwich but not my drink. I gave up. Then, as I was in the middle of meeting with my client there in a deep conversation she yelled from the counter to ask what I didn’t want on my sandwich. Are you kidding me? Javalencia: Please fire this person! She is bringing your business down.

This looked like a nice place. So I walked in to get a coffee and use the bathroom. Apparently I did these in the wrong order. As I walked in the woman behind the counter said where are you going? I said, to use the bathroom. Before I could finish she got very imperious and told me customers only you have to leave. I told her that I had intended to use the restroom and then buy a coffee on the way out. Didn’t matter at that point. She just repeated customers only with an angry look on her face. Nice way to win new customers.

Walking down Valencia in the Mission district, I needed some caffeine. This place happened to be on my way so it fit the bill. I got a black americano and it was solid. Didn’t seem too bitter so I was happy with it. I’m not from the area but it definitely seems like the place that locals hang out to have a bagel and read the paper.

One time, I was starving and walked into Javalencia as they had bagels clearly displayed in their shop. I pointed to a bagel and said«I would like that one.» The woman at the counter replied«You can’t have it.» I replied, «It’s right there.» And she said, «No.» So I had some yogurt instead. I assume she was keeping me from having the bagel because it was stale, but she forgot to inform me that the yogurt was also spoiled. So, yeah. No points awarded.

Friendly service and great smoothies! It’s a nice, quiet spot for some reading and writing during morning hours. They have background music but keep it low enough to not be a distraction. I’ve only ever seen one person behind the counter which can mean a longer wait time, but service is still pleasant.

I don’t know why this place has a magnet for: 1. Old people 2. Asian chics 3. Asian chic with white bf/date Seriously…my friend & i immediately noticed it! Anyhow, I love their pineapple-mango smoothie. My friend ordered coffee & choc cupcake. I’m not a fan of cupcake coz I always consider it as Forever 21 of desserts(Yeah I’m a dessert & forever 21 snub, suck it up bitches) & merely looking at it makes me wanna throw up. She said it tastes ok but i refused to listen nor look at the cupcake. So yeah, if you happen to be a white dude, Asian chic-chaser, this could be your place :) Ps– i enjoyed talking to a small group of oldies visiting SF. They love murals /grafittis and i showed them some that i took on my realiable iphone. Hmmm, yeah, AARP cardholders are my groupies :)

We were hanging out in Delores Park this afternoon and we wanted to stop and get some coffee on our way to the bus. The line was two or three deep, so I decided to use the restroom before ordering. The one barista who was waiting on customers as I walked down the hall stopped what she was doing to flag me down. She yelled, «Where are you going?» and I told her I was going to the restroom(obviously, as there was only one door at the end of the hallway I was in). She said I had to make a purchase before using the restroom. I told her I had intended on it, but I’ll make the purchase now. Whatevs. I ordered an espresso and directly after ordering she snapped«just go to the bathroom now. I’ll buzz you in.» Ooookay dokay. So I go to the restroom and it’s absolutely disgusting. Graffiti on the walls, water(or pee?) on the floor and no toilet paper(natch). It was kind of ridiculous that this barista woman was so intent on guarding this hellish bathroom. On my way out, I go to grab my espresso and she throws it at me, not saying a word. it was unbelievable! Will not be back and I absolutely do not recommend, based on poor service and horrifically dirty restroom. Ew.

I hope you’re not afraid of people accidentally walking in on you when you’re using the bathroom because for whatever reason, the bathroom door is missing a lock! I don’t even know if they have some kind of «in use» sign you can hang outside the door — that would likely lessen the fear as you sit on the toilet. Other than that I feel like this place has personality. I like all the art on the wall(they’re for sale if you ever want one). The music playing was ok and it wasn’t too loud but I always have my iPod on so I could care less about what kind of music they play. There’s lots of seating, didn’t really notice how much outlets are available, and there’s free wi-fi. The service was great but the coffee wasn’t all that wonderful(I’m not even a huge coffee/espresso fiend and I was very disappointed in the caramel mocha!). They also have food and such. Anyway, overall, I think it’s a really good place to sit down to study, get some work done or read a book.
