I like this salon, and have been going here for many years, although it recently changed hands in the past few years. Since changing hands, out went the wall of manicure stations, and they instead installed more spa pedicure chairs, which are admittedly comfortable, featuring back massage functions with remote controls, arms with side trays for putting your drink or cell phone, etc. The down side is that the bathroom is STILLNOTWHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE, being up a small flight of stairs. There are also stairs up into the massage/waxing area, although I’m not even sure if they still offer those services. And the main area of the salon has become extra-cluttered with oodles of unnecessary, extraneous furniture(seriously? Those bulky couches HAVE to go!!!), a lot of which seems to move around to a different area each time I visit. The problem with all of this clutter is that they have to move tons of furniture in order to accommodate a wheelchair or scooter… but the good part is that they do it without any hesitation, so that’s definitely a point in their favor! Still, it’d be nice if they’d downsize the amount of stuff they’ve shoved into that space, because it clearly isn’t all being used(this salon is NEVER anywhere near full when I’m there) and just gets in the way. And while we’re on the subject of clutter, there is stuff haphazardly strewn on every surface, creating oodles of visual clutter. A lot of it isn’t necessary, either, such as the three opened bags of dog treats atop a cabinet behind the cash register, tons of personal items(water bottles, food, purses), and extra supplies both in boxes and piles along every spare surface! The furniture is all mismatched(and some of it could use a new coat of paint!), and for some ungawdly reason, there are pieces of scotch tape all over the purple-painted walls. Seriously? When this salon and spa first opened a hundred years ago(okay, more like 13 or so, but who’s counting??), that owner had an eye for design and created a pleasant, perhaps even sensual environment. The music was upbeat and fun, and there was always plenty of staff on hand(pardoning the pun!) to do nails, wax brows, etc. I feel like the new owner is struggling a little to find his groove. He’s always there, and very polite, helpful, and friendly… but he could use a little help neatening the place up, getting rid of some of that excess furniture, and playing some music more upbeat than Cat Power(seriously, she’s been what’s playing the past three times I’ve been there, it is enough to make a girl clinically depressed!!!). I’ve been half-tempted to offer to come help him do this, as I really want him to succeed, because I don’t want to have to find a new nail salon! Why am I so many paragraphs down before I get to the actual manicure part? Well, obviously all of those other aspects are really that distracting to me! It’s hard to relax in a messy space with depressing music and no disabled-accessible bathroom! But I WILL say that the service is excellent, the manicures and pedicures I get there are fabulous and last 2 – 3 weeks, and I’m planning on continuing to give them my business! But I DO hope the owner reads my review, takes my criticisms as they are intended, ie, with love, and maybe institutes a few changes to make the whole spa experience here feel more pleasant!

What a pleasure visiting this salon. Just like the name of it Its All About YOU! They will make sure you get what you want. Got both hair color and nails done and they turned out beautifully. I have Asian hair type, so it’s very easy to mess up with. Many other places either make my hair look too bright or the color never showed up, but the hairstylist(also the owner) of this salon made them just like the way I wanted. They look healthy, natural and pretty. Plus, the hairstylist is very easy and fun to talk with. For the nails, the girl had done an amazing job on my gel manicure. I like how careful and detailed she paid attention to my nails. I also saw the tools in the sealed package and I was happy because I know they sanitize their tools. Don’t want to get infection or anything bad for my fingers. Also, the environment is clean and nice. The price here is pretty reasonable too. Overall, I definitely will come back and highly recommend this salon to my friends and everyone.

Fantastic shellac manicure. I like how the nail artist who did my manicure was patient, had great attention to detail, and took time to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

I’m new to the area and stumbled upon this salon one Sunday morning. It’s a fairly big-sized space with very friendly owners and stylists. The prices are in line with the rest of the salons in the area. I loved Sonny’s attention to detail! He really doesn’t rush even if he’s behind schedule. I felt like I got the right amount of attention, care and quality for the price. Also, they are very careful about sanitizing all beauty tools. They seem to have very strict practices, including using UV rays to clean and sanitize all nail tools. The owner says he was a biotech researcher before this. He also told me about a lot of insane practices that some nail salons have, like forcing their employees to bring their own tools or not offering water to their employees. As salon visitors, we often don’t realize how things are run in the backend. I liked that the folks here prioritize high-quality service. I took off a star because I think the prices can be arbitrary. Anytime a service provider offers a high quote and then lowers it to give you a «discount,» I question the concreteness of the prices. I was quoted a lower price for waxing than someone else who walked in much later. Also, I think they could do a better job setting expectations about the wait time for clients. It didn’t impact my day much, but a couple other folks who came in had to come back later.
