I have been going to Irene for help with my skin for a few years now and it has completely changed life. She’s extremely knowledgeable about the skin as well as the product lines that she uses and is very good at personalizing your experience as well as well as your home remedies to keep your skin looking young and healthy. I am so extremely lucky to have found Irene (through my dermatologist). I’ll admit, I’ve only been seeing Irene for just a few months, but the work she’s done is plain wow.
I have searched high and low for a facialist I trust. There’s so many horrible skin places and I’ve had my share of finding crap!!! Irene is not a product pusher or someone that tries to completely rearrange your life in terms of diet for «better skin.» She just does what she does because she’s an expert and it just works.
Irene is sweet, she addresses my concerns, she’s flexible/​available and her recommendations are so on point with what my skin needs. She’s the whole package. I finally found my «perfect skin person.»
If you’re looking for «glam» and «spa,» don’t see Irene. She’s the hard-​core, real deal, no fluff stuff.

Nene is a high end medical esthetician at reasonable prices. She is a secret gem in San Francisco and has cured my adult acne and recommended useful at home products. She is a total skin nerd And uses great products that make my face glow. I don’t know if I want to recommend her on Unilocal because I want to still be able to book regular appointments!

I have been having facials at IND Esthetics for more than a year, and love every minute of it. the owner – Irene – really pays detailed attention to your skin and offers great advises on skincare.

I started going to Nene (Irene) back when she was at a swanky dermatologist’s office, and stuck with her because she’s the only one in the city who has the patience and hands to deal with my very sensitive skin. I leave the office with red splotches, but those clear up in a couple of hours. The next day and for the rest of the month, my skin looks great and I break out so much less than if I don’t see her.
I also turned my friend who has Asian skin and had a horrible experience at one of the most expensive salons in town (let’s just say her aesthetician told her her skin was «gross») onto her as well, and now she won’t go to anyone else.
Plus Nene is super nice and friendly. All that for a reasonable price. Almost too good to be true, but believe it. She’s great.

Nene is the greatest. Her business should be listed under ‘Waxing’ as well as skin care. She is the first i ever went to for a brazilian (boyzilian) waxing and she talked me through the scary parts of it and did a brilliant job; I will always go to her. My skin feels so great afterwards; she is a dream.

I have gotten many facials and go here for all my waxing and always leave incredibly happy with her work! Irene is extremely professional and very informed about skin care issues. She helps me choose the products that work best for my face and always helps me trouble shoot to figure out how we can change my regimen to improve my complexion. Whether it’s a wax, a peel, tinting or a facial that you need, Ind Esthetics is the place to go in SF! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Irene performs high quality work at reasonable prices. She is very friendly and accommodating, and puts you at ease. She is also very meticulous about scheduling, never cancels and is on time. Highly recommend.

I tried out this salon because it was listed in Amazonlocal at half the usual price. Although the owner is a nice person and did a good job, I am not going back.
One of the key elements of making a good impression on a potential client is professionalism. Professionalism doesn’t mean giving compliments and trying to be nice. It means that for a first-​time client, making sure that the client knows everything about getting into the building, what the parking is like (insanely difficult), being clear about scheduling, not getting you confused with someone else, letting you know in advance what method of payment she took — all those details that allow people to get off to a good start.
The first time I arrived at the location listed above, there was no way I would know that the entrance was at the middle of the building, and not where the signage said «3150,» and required secure entry. I also only knew the name of the business, but not the owner’s name, which what was listed on the marquee. So I struggled going through names so I could get buzzed in. When I finally got in I was told that she was ½ hour behind. On occasion, I’ll deal with that — it happens.
As far as the skin treatment was concerned, it was fine. However, I asked Irene to tint my eyebrows a lighter shade than my own natural color, and she tinted them black. Thankfully, my hair is naturally dark.
But, the kicker is that when I scheduled another appointment for three weeks later, which I did on the same day as my first appointment, it turned out that the owner, Irene, works somewhere else — but, I didn’t know that, she didn’t tell me, she didn’t even seem to have thought about that herself at the time. I was under the impression I was coming to an appointment at the same location and that Irene would be there. I was standing in the same room with her when she chose a date and time for me and I put it into my handheld PC. I can’t recall ever having gone through such a circus in my life. On the day of my second appointment, after realizing there was no one at the 18^th Street location, I called Irene on her cell phone and she told me that she scheduled me on a Saturday morning at 8:00 and that she didn’t work at 18^th Street on Thursdays.
I always prefer giving people the benefit of the doubt, but this time, nah, there are plenty of other skin care providers in San Francisco.

If you want the best facial in town, call up Nene (Irene). She is one of a kind. I’ve been getting facials for 8 years and have seen ONLY her for the past 5 years. Not only is she thorough, but nice, gentle and has incredible attention to detail. Her price is right and service CAN’T BE BEAT. The best in the biz as far as I’m concerned! :) Thank you Nene for all that you do. –Ag
