I can’t believe IB’s bit the dust. First Palace Steakhouse, then El Balazo @ car wash and now IBs. I really should stop liking places around here so they can stay open. You will be sorely missed in San Francisco, IBs – I hope Deli Lamas is worth trying.

Love this place. I go here a lot for lunch and I love their salads and hot sandwiches. The people are super cool, the food is good, the prices are good… the only crappy thing is they dont take credit cards. Who the hell doesnt accept credit cards its 2009? But whatever the food and prices are good enough that I will let that go.

I had a spinach chicken cheese steak and it was delicious. This place is definitely one of the only decent lunch spots in the area…

I love you, I get sad when you’re not open on Sundays =\ but when Monday hits I get my ass up & head over for either some chicken tender w/garlic fries or a philly cheesesteak. I still haven’t had the chance to explore your menu because it seems like every time I come in my lips automatically say«Philly Cheesesteak please» that sauce you put on it is amazing, reminds me of hot wing sauce, which could be the secret :) Also, I love how you sell beer, tall cans, 40s, no place can beat this. IB, you are amaaaaazinnnngggg!

Damned good sandwiches in a neighborhood lacking places to eat. The owner is a trip. His daughter is flat-out beautiful. I’ve been here twice, and I’d recommend it to anybody working in the neighborhood. I prefer this place over the Bonanza next door.

Thank goodness for this place! For the past 7 years I’ve worked down the street from this location, only to see various café and restaurant attempts open and close shortly thereafter. FINALLY someone got it right and opened a quality restaurant with a great selection of food and beverages. The prices are very reasonable, especially when you see the abundant portions served up by 3 beautiful and very cool young women. They also have quite a few salads on the menu which are fresh and HUGE. My personal favorite is the Spinach salad with feta cheese which I slightly tweak by adding avocado, kidney beans and a few jalapenos! For those of us that work in the area I.B.‘s is a very welcome spot. For those passing through and /or live in the area I highly suggest checking them out and supporting a quality, family owned restaurant like the ones that helped make SF the phenomenal, unique place that it is!

i drove by here and saw a blue sign to the effect«1.99 for coffee and choice of bagel, donut or pastries» cool. i thought. i didn’t have much breakfast and i needed coffee. i walk in and see an old time friend chomping down on breakfast. i asked him. «must be good, huh?» he didn’t answer. he instead introduced me to sam whom i assumed to be the owner. I told him«i want the 1.99 special« sam: «it’s against the wall, help yourself». me «any size?»(referring to coffee) sam: «anything you want» or something like that me: «am i getting the bottom of the barrel?» or something like that. sam: «no, no this big pastry usually sells for $ 1.25, and the other donuts $ 1.00 me: «thanx» i said and i took the big pastry and the big coffee. coffee was medium body coffee, not bad at all. pastry ok. 2 woman were busy preparing for lunch. they also serve hoagies, breakfast and cheesesteaks. there’s hardly any place save the bonanza to eat around this part of town. not sure if you can park across the street by the old bakery.
