Hyo Joong Kim, MD

So far, I have been very impressed with the staff here. They are patient & friendly when answering questions; they are knowledgeable about the requirements for immigration vaccinations; and they are upfront about pricing. I was also able to secure an appointment fairly quickly.

Dr. Kim provides amazing care to his patients, and is by far one of the best MD’s I have encountered. I took my brother to Dr. Kim after 2 ER visits, a visit to an N.D. who specializes in gastroenterology and countless other physicians who could not formulate a diagnosis. Dr. Kim was thorough, did an intensive history and exam and went above and beyond what any other physician has done! By the end of the appointment, my brother was leaving with hope and a clearer picture of his condition. He feels 90% better and was not pumped up with narcotics or prescribed pharmaceuticals. Dr. Kim has various treatment offerings and diagnostic tests in his clinic. He is affordable and obviously not all about the dollar (i see another reviewer made a comment about this). His office was busy with patients, and we did not feel rushed or pushed off like a number. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone needing a doctor who will get to the root cause of the problem! He has a wonderful friendly staff as well.

Yet another M.D. who puts profits ahead of patients’ health and healing. If you want a doctor who listens and is willing to craft a solution custom-​made to your specific health needs, this is not your guy. If on the other hand you want to be treated like a statistic and be shoved a cocktail of pharmaceutical drugs, you’ve found your match. This clinic is in the business of making money for big pharma, not optimizing your health.

he is very involved in a lot of geriatric medicine. very fluent in both english and korean (spanish and japanese too), probably one of the most smartest doctors i’ve been to. works very efficiently, one of those people that seem like they’re good at everything, trustworthy, knowledgeable, accessible and he’s pretty good looking for his age! (kinda like an older, korean version of patrick dempsey… he participates in triathlons, i think, i saw a picture of him swimming across the sf bay in his office, this was many years ago…) :D ANYWAYS…
my family has known this doctor for a very long time, and he the main physician for my dad and my grandmother. def has the respect of my dad’s which to me, says a lot.
down side would be that he’s a very well known and popluar dr in the korean community, so theres always people in the waiting room. so if u need to see him ASAP, i don’t know how soon you can get an appt. but def worth checking out to see if he’s a good match for you.
