I only ever ate a couple of Hung Phat desserts but I’ve seen them around at all the VN places I got to for a quick meal. I actually looked them up hoping for an explanation of the 4-colored green gelatanous dessert I saw. I should have just tried it! OK, here’s what I know: You scared? Don’t try. You brave, eat lots! Truly delicious desserts. Some with minor explanations on them«Vietnamese dessert» «Hung Phat» that’s it. try it, my guess is you’ll like it. I got a banana flavored thingie with coconut milk tonight. YAY!

Run, do not walk to get these tasty desserts. If you are a fan of the heaven that is Vietnamese banana cake, coconut cake, or any other gelatinous/pandan/fruity delight, this is the primo purveyor of said items. Ob.Sessed.

I like their name… but it is not a retail place of business. seems just to be wholesale for places like Saigon Sandwich which is one of the few places that has their incredible tapioca, mung bean filled Viet sweet with a small container of salted coconut cream for $ 1.50…truely yummy… three pieces… Not sure why Hung Phat happens to look straight out at that place… Pink Pussy… just saw it during the day hours because this is a scary neighborhood in the ‘loin
