An okay place with an okay review. The quality of meat used to be one of the best but then they change hands several times or under new management. Five years ago– Meat quality was good and the Salsa were good but the guy doesn’t know how to wrap a burrito and it broke very easily. And the sour cream is icy cold 2013– Meat quality is pre made and the salsa taste like regular salsa. Now they know how to wrap burrito but you can get the same thing any where in the city with much better quality and cheaper price. The only positive is it’s closed to where I live

Burritos are decent size and price, but that’s about as far as it goes. There is one dude running the whole show — grill, cash register, and everything. He definitely is in no hurry to take your order and make your burrito. This is a gritty little place with typical taqueria menu. The ingredients were not very fresh. The carne asada was already cooked and sitting cold in a container, he just reheated it on the grill. Tasted like it was seasoned with McCormick’s or something. Rice and salsa did not have a great flavor either. I politely asked him not to put any lettuce(WTF?) in my burrito. I give this place two stars. One for the atmosphere, and one for the strange tasting burrito.

OK a local Mexican place is worth a reveiw. I have had my share of burritos and this place is not bad. Not great but pretty good and they are in Vis Valley which is great cause that is my hood. The staff is nice and the price is right. The burritos are just ok but can’t put my finger on it. The meat is pretty tasty and the size is a good deal. there is also the usual mexican faire and you can definitely get a quick meal here. One of my places I go to in the hood.

This place is REALLYSMALL so it is kind of cramped when you are sitting there! Their burritos are really good! They offer Latino type breads and sweets, which is pretty good.

This would be paradise if I was stranded on a deserted island. Wow, how do I start to describe this place? Well, I would avoid this place like the plague, if this taqueria was in any decent neighborhood in San Francisco. Alas, Hernandez is located in a fairly runned down area and all the other restaurants are now vacant lots, so I find myself coming here for a quick bite during my lunch break. I have to say the burritos are not half bad. For $ 5 you get a super burrito with your choice of meat and a bag of tortilla chips with salsa. I did get a batch of chips that were starting to stale. The restaurant is pretty dirty and I wouldn’t be surprised to find roaches or other vermin lurking. But I haven’t actually given the effort to validate myself. The work area looks pretty clean. The food is sitting in a warmer. But the flat top grill is oddly situated on top of a high counter. Burnt elbows anyone? And hey, they actually washed their hands before they put together my burrito.

Alright, this place is located in the heart off downtown Visitation Valley. Because it is right behind my house i have to give it 4 stars because of location. It isn’t top 3 taquerias in the Bay but sure fits in the top 10. The home of the $ 1 taco with a plethora of meats it makes a awesome snack. The burritos aren’t that bad, but taste kind of funny because they put lettuce in them. Their breakfast burritos don’t have meat in them either. Because they are a bakery their bread and pastries treats are quite tasty. Come check it out if you have the chance.
