This review is only for the muffins, I have not tried their other food. Their muffins are MOLDY! So gross. So I used to get blueberry muffins from here once a week. Until about 2 weeks ago when I noticed what looked like mold on my muffin. I broke it open and sure enough — moldy. I figured it might be a one time thing, so I gave them a 2nd chance. But this morning, I took a bit of my muffin and OMG!!! Mold! I dont know if they make these on site or buy them premade from another source. But there is a very limited shelf life for these. It’s not cool to keep trying to resell them for several days past their fresh by date. Especially for full price. I mean ½ price day old goods, at least we are fairly warned and not paying full price for not fresh product. I wont be returning, and seriously advise against the muffins.

The service was terrible, the food was worse. I wish we would have kept on walking by. The toast wasn’t toasted, the bacon was skimpy and the omelette was spongy. Definitely not coming back!

Now be careful here? Two young women have been emplyees there for the last several years, both are Asian, one is named Ivy from Monday until Wednesday in the morning and early afternoon. On those three days a young Asian women, with black horned rimed glasses, I forgot her name, shame on me, replaces Ivy. They will give you exactly what the black borards say about their heads, adding or subtracting anything you ask, an of course you will pay. The newer owners are also young Asian women, nice, You take chance when you order because the smoothies will change, the sandwiches may change also, which I have noticed, but definitely the drinks. Polk Street rents are gong way up and like Polk St. Procduce, they close and go away… fast, now because the prices they offer and the rent they pay can’t keep up, so just be aware timothy g. I have lived on or Polk St. or a block off for 40 years.

Awful experience. I come here all the time for bagels in the morning and the one time I come to do work using the wifi they refuse to give the wifi password because I did not buy something at that exact moment(disregarding all the other times I’ve come there). No other place in SF has this weird policy. Take your business elsewhere that respects their customers. I know I won’t ever be going there again.

Worst bagel EVER! The bagel was stale, and they didn’t toast it. I got it to go and couldn’t finish it because the bagel was really awful. The tomato was also past it’s prime.

Not the nicest coffee shop due to homeless/poor/crazy ppl feeling comfortable here. Prices are cheap and they’re open till 11pm(2am on friday & saturday). Wireless was dsl speed but enough for work. I’m gonna start giving this place my business hopefully it improves.

MAJOR props to the lady working on a Saturday night — home to many drunken Polk street visitors. The menu is extensive, however, I just ordered an Italian soda and coffee. Prices are decent, but what I enjoyed was the friendly staff.

H20 Cafese sells bagels, sammies, coffee, pastries, breakfast. lots of wifi stations available. single person on duty. café looked barebones so just got coffee. brew: large coffee, 1.75 –initially tasted harsh, after a few sips, taste mellowed out –cheap drink once one gets used to it.

FINALLLLLLLLYYYY found my bagel sandwich joint. I swear I have been looking for months and stumbled upon this place by complete chance. Everything on the menu is made fresh and they actually make watermelon juice out of real watermelon. I personally saw them chop open a watermelon and scooped it out to make juice. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are so warm and made with real eggs and quality cheese. Very reasonably price and totally worth every single penny. There is a ton of places to sit with very fast free wi-fi. There were many people sitting down with their laptops doing work and what not. Also something to note: There was a sign on the door saying that they are under new management. So if you had a bad experience in the past, I’d recommend you to come back and try again. I don’t see how it’s possible to not enjoy the food, drinks and internet here!

Mediocre little internet café. There’s absolutely nothing to rave about here, except the fact that their hours are good. So are their prices. Their menu consists of café basics: coffee, tea, smoothies(they look good but I haven’t tried them) and a dozen sandwiches/breakfast fare. Pretty standard. Now let’s think for a second why they’d call an internet café H20, hmm. They do serve water, yes. But I can’t find any other link here between internet, café, sandwiches and water. If anything, their name reinforces my impression of this café: plain and lacking of character. — Distinguishing factor: Only café on Polk that is open till 1pm.

Sit in the right seat, and you — my friend — may be in for a treat. *insert corny ass wink* I’m currently sitting here now, the café charges $ 0.12/minute for internet use at their computers(cash only). When I first came in, there were three gentlemen(I use this term loosely) — one of which had all symptoms of porn-paranoia. What’s PP you ask? PP symptoms include looking over your shoulder to see if someone’s shaming/watching you for watching porn and shutting down the page as soon as you step away. Remember that wink from earlier? I’m sitting in the right seat. Other than that, there is free wireless for patrons with individual portable porn-watching stations(or laptop, whatever). Random folks pop in and do whatever the hell they do with no intention of making a purchase. Oh and as an instant update, talk on the phone while sassily pacing near the entrance. There’s a giant bright yellow wall and a look around shows a rainbow decided to bless its colors on different sections of the place. Nice cashier. Semi-questionable bathroom. Good people-watching location. A-ok with me.

I went here for breakfast several times when I lived in the Nob Hill area. I typically got the egg sandwich with avocado. The service was slow(~10/15mins; only one person working when I went there on weekend mornings). Often the eggs were runny. I kept going back because it was nearby but now that I’ve moved — never again!

this might be a nice place, except that my one experience upset me. I stopped in late at night with a friend who needed to use the wi-fi, and I desperately needed to use the restroom. The cashier was a snob. I was informed that I must buy something first. I could’ve peed on the floor! I ended up buying a banana for $ 0.85. [2012/07/15]

Had another late night coffee craving saturday so I hopped on Unilocal and found this place still open at 12:30am(closes at 2:30am). In terms of looks, there isn’t anything that stands out aside your typical café, but cool that they have computers on one side of the wall(12 cents/minute, minimum of $ 1.00). I ordered a caramel latte and it was amazing. Not too sweet or too bland, just right. And their chocolate chip cookies are also quite tasty(55 cents each, 3 for $ 1.50). I forgot the name of the guy working there, but he was nice and very helpful. Great place for a late coffee fix, but gets kinda loud weekend nights since there are a lot of bars in and around the area.

Refreshing. Conference call was starting. Phone minutes were dwindling. Stomach was growling. H20 came to the rescue. If you make up your mind yes/no walking in you’ll most likely turn around and walk out. Bit depressing. Few less fortunate with their heads down on the table. Furniture and overall décor needing a serious refresher. But they don’t need to do a thing with the service and eats. Despite not having made a purchase yet they let me use the WiFi for my call. After finishing ordered a chicken sandwich. Plenty of poultry. Wheat bread. Excellent. Good and not expensive Americano was cheap($ 2) but didn’t taste cheap. Sugar free syrups available(remedied from my last visit). Above average service. Above average eats. It was rather refreshing.

Their smoothies are straightforward enough — two or three fruits and soy milk or ice. Interesting postcards and wallpaper of fliers for local services and events. Minuses for not doing anything about A) the passed out man at one table who kept waking up in intervals just to stumble outside, smoke a cigarette, stumble back in, and summarily pass right back out or B) the intoxicated man who walked in, slurringly asked my friend for $ to buy not one but two coffees, then proceeded to buy the coffees.

I stopped in here for lunch after shirking work and shopping at Golden Gate Cycles. I heard a rumor about some $ 6.50 Salad & Sandwich combo. The place is a little sparse and more functional than ambient(its an internet café after all). Rows of computers along one side. A big empty space in the middle and a huge menu above the register kind of thing. Anyway, I order the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich and Caesar Salad. Turns out it was $ 7. No biggie, that is still cheap, and I will tell you why: Reconstituted chicken breast. Croutons from a box. Dressing from a bottle. Still, they arranged the plate prettily enough and in the right light, it almost looked like a decent meal. The Romain appeared fresh. The ambiguous bun/bread roll thing the fake chicken breast was on was nicely toasted. A little too much mayo, which, when coupled with the already over creamy Caesar, left me a little woozy. I don’t know if I would go back, but it served its purpose. My belly is full. My salad craving is gone. Not bad if you get a window seat.
