I’ve been here twice to get battery changes for my watch. The last time was approx 1yr ago and the lady changed my battery for about $ 6. This time, I had 2 watches(including the one from last yr). The man who changed the battery told me the inside parts of my old Mickey Mouse watch was all plastic and uses up the battery faster. Never heard that before but my Seiko watch insides were good parts and he showed me as he was changing both batteries in front of me. Of course, my Seiko watch is an antique at this point, approximately 30 yrs. old or more. But, as long as it keeps on ticking, I’ll keep wearing it. People complain that for $ 12 to change 2 watches is expensive but it’s not. I’ve paid more for battery changes when I’ve not been able to get down to Chinatown like in West Portal or the Richmond dist. and those shop keepers were not even half as friendly. At least the folks who run this shop are willing to have a conversation with you. If you go to Macy’s to change the battery, it will run you $ 12 or more and that was years ago when I had to do that. Another gentleman who came in with his large faced watch was bargaining with them citing that he was quoted earlier that it would cost $ 12 but when he showed up, he was told $ 14 or $ 15. Lots of watches in the store if you are in the market for a watch.

Grant Pacific Imports, which consists of two stores, a gift shop and a watch/clock shop, is located at the corner of Grant and Pacific in Chinatown. I’ve been coming here for my last five watch battery changes. The workers have always been courteous and the battery change service is always quick and efficient with the wait no more than 10 minutes. Today, I walked in and in 5 minutes and $ 5, I was out the door with my watch tickin’ away.

My gift from my husband on our getaway to SF last September; my first visit to the city. Owner and salesperson very courteous and personable. Was open to negotiation. I love this jewel of the sea, and wear just about everyday. Thank you for the great experience, and the jewel! This pendant has two small white diamonds, set in 14k white gold, approx 11 mm pearl.

I LOVETHISPLACE!!! They have a huge selection of watches and most importantly G-SHOCKS! I come back here to get my friends g-shock watches because they have all the new models and a million choices. it’s also such a steal because of the amazing prices. Besides Casio, I also saw that they carry Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, Swiss Army, Fossil watches. Grant Pacific Imports is a gold mine for all watch lovers. There are so many different styles to choose from. This is definitely my go– to place for watches at a decent price. I found out they have been open for over 20 years and all the ladies who work there are really nice. There is nothing better than finding something you like at a great price in Chinatown!

Back in 2007, my Bulova watch’s tuning dial broke and I walked through china town to compare prices. A clerk greets me kindly, looks at my watch, sees the brand, and with greed in her eyes, estimates it will cost $ 50 to repair. $ 50! No thanks. Other places charge $ 15-$ 25. Overall appearance of the store is somewhat neat, but the window displays are chaotic. Everything is overpriced and many are made poorly.

Used old battery for my watch and charged me the price of new. Took my watch there for battery change, costed me $ 10 but battery only lasted one month before it stopped. Went to Pacific Watch on 702 Kearny Street for battery change again and it works like new since then.
