Took the Baylink ferry and upon scoping out the foods in the Ferry Building, made note of this takeout window. Have heard of the Gott’s in Napa, still want to try that«original» location so didn’t want to spoil my cherry-popping by getting a burger here. What did catch my eye though was the«Soft Serve 11am-7pm» sign. After a fun day at Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, and Coit Tower, it was almost time to catch the ferry home. Even though it was cold outside, I could not resist some of this soft serve — even splurged on a medium size, Strauss vanilla and chocolate swirl in a cup. Waffle cone would’ve put me over the top(still had to save room for dinner after the 1-hour ferry ride). Kept it simple, no toppings, so creamy and good!

I liked this place for the simple Strauss soft serve. If you want something light on a nice crunchy waffle cone, then come here. It costs around $ 4.12. If you want the exotic, then head over to the other popular ice cream next door. I would come back to this place if I happen to be in this area, but wouldn’t come out of my way to visit this one place and go home. I came during closing time and nice to just walk up without waiting on a long line to order and then go take a stroll enjoying the view of the SF Bay outside the Ferry building.

Walking past the Humphrey’s, luckily I saw this soft serve ice cream place. Delicious. It’s creamy but good! Just vanilla and chocolate on a cone. Simple and easy. No crazy flavors. Just the way I like it. BTW, their cones are crunchy too. No extra charge.

I really really like the soft serve. The only other place that I’ve found soft serve this good is at Sam’s clam chouder on highway 1 in Half Moon Bay

So after loving zero zeros soft serve and finding out it was Strauss I gave them another shot. This time plain chocolate on a cone. No toppings like last time and it was good! Keeping it simple was better.
