This place serves good food with great price. I go here at least three times a week to buy either buns or dim sum. Ikr? Lol they have some dim sum dishes too.

I will miss living across the street from this place so much. You can find the best shu mai in SF here! The other dim sum is so so, but the pork shu mai… geezus. I ordered 10 orders(30 pieces) for my family once because it is just that good! The sweets are good here too, but the shu mai is the star! The ladies that run the shop are real sweet and you always see old chinese folk eating here, so you know it’s darned delicious!

I love this place. So many goodies at very reasonable prices. Go for the Su Mai and the mochi balls.

Awesome bakery since they’re the only ones in the neighborhood that does both baked and steamed buns along with some select dim sum items and my go to place for Lau Mai Gai. Always welcoming and willing to cook food fresh if they’re low in front. They made a regular out of this fellow

So, today July 3 I went into Orchard to get my regular Hkg Iced Tea. what a disappointment! :(I went to restroom and come to pay for drink .oh! My God!!. The cashier had put a whole block of ice(size of a tennis ball in the plastic cup drink! WTH! :( She said, no more ice! And to top it off the iced tea was watered down-YUCK! I should had said to her. You drink it tell me what you think! So I paid for my pork bun and .drum roll please… SHE«charged» me for the drink!!! This will be the last time. I am a Frequent patron and to have done that! I guess she woke up on the Wrong side of the bed! Will be taking my money’s elsewhere. I am NOT one of those people who makes a scene at public. boy I know some people in my life that would had! I just think of it this way… they LOST a Patron who pays!!.

Will not be ordering from here anymore. Cashier neglected to change her glove after killing a cockroach on the counter before she was about to help. I was so appalled I walked out.

Very nice selection at low prices! Totally recommend the coconut bun. It’s pleasantly warm and soft! And it’s not too sweet.

Good Orchard Bakery looked overpriced for their baked goods(1.5). plus, only about 6 of each item available. had a strange feeling about them. buys: tsing tao newspaper(.60) take outs: –didn’t want to leave empty handed –not interested in the pastries, food…

I always forget how much I love this Chinese bakery/café. They take care of me like family here. Walked in there to order jook ’cause I’m sick. The owner gave me free egg tarts and said, «To a speedy recovery. We missed you here, and thank you for believing in us when we first started». Now, they have a café full of people enjoying their food. This makes me happy. Good Food, Good Peoole, Good Energy.

I absolutely love this bakery and today’s my 2nd time here. I came back because I like the customer service offered by the lady behind the counter. She always makes sure that food & drinks are served fresh and hot(I ordered lotus leaf rice). I’d my meal here and from my observation she’s friendly and treats everyone fairly, even the homeless guy who came in to get some food. I will definitely come back if I crave for dim sum or wonton noodle soup in the future.

Been here lots of times!!! Good place to enjoy delicious food! I come here with my friends and family, it is just great! I came here during different time of the day and they are usually busy during lunch time, but I have been there lunch time when they are not so busy. You can also call ahead of times to order so you do not need to wait too long. Thats what I do(sometimes). I usually get the bake BBQ pork bun, taro bun, and dimsum. From one of the comments below, they talked about which cashier is nicer, but as of what I know. They do have multiple cashiers(more than 2). So i think you cannot really relate to how the«thinner» one is the nice one. Because if you compare them, the«thinner» cashier you saw might have not been the same one the other person saw. Thats just my opinion.

My parents were visiting me when they discovered this place. They don’t speak fluent English, so it’s still amazed me whenever they find some new spots(without Unilocal!I mean how??) After the first day they visited this place, they told me there’s a great place that sells shumai(dumplings), so I was like sure, let’s try it. We all went together the next day. The food was good and the staff was mostly friendly. My parents did say there’s one lady who’s significantly friendlier to them than the other lady. Apparently the thinner one is the nicer one(their words; not mine). The other one was allegedly rude to my mom at some point(therefor the 4-star). We ordered some dim sum, and some pastries. My parents actually ended up going there every other day while they’re here. All because that one lady was very friendly to them. If the lady could be nice to two people who can’t speak English well, I believe she’s nice to everyone. I wish I knew her name though so I could give her an online shoutout! Thank you for giving my parents a great experience when they visited, Good Orchard Lady! :)

Since my last review, we’ve ordered strawberry birthday cake. This is the only bakery I’ve been to that honors our request for less sugar and less cream! Our family gets all our birthday cakes here now and our weekly breakfast buns. The bread loaves are cut in thick slices so they do not deflate. We especially like the cheese loaf and the pork loaf.

This is an old school bakery. Not expensive, dim sum are tastier compared to some of the dim sum restaurants. Im commenting on what I had so far: ha gow, siew mai, veg bun, chicken bow(too much bread), hom siu gok, cocktail bun, mini wife cakes. Worth the drive… staff is always friendly. .fast service too. I would say this is like a «fast food» version of dim sum. I’m definitely coming back when I’m in the city.

Love this place for morning coffee and ham & egg bun fresh from the oven. $ 2.35 for breakfast, can’t beat that! The ladies who work here are friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to several other bakeries in the area, but this one’s my favorite.

Decent bakery, but I like Princess Bakery better just down the block a little past Walgreens more. When I worked in the area, I used to sometimes stop in for buns for breakfast for an afternoon snack during my super short break and can’t go anywhere else.

I have been to other establishments which served Hong Kong/Chinese baked goods and dim sum, but they had terrible costumer service. Particularly, employees in other places were rude and seemed to discriminate against people who do not speak their native language or are not of their own ethinicity. In the case of this bakery, I shall give my thumbs up. The service is very welcoming no matter who you are and they always treat you well. The employees are eager and ethusiastic to serve you and they are rather happy(in few other places I have been the employees looked at us with such a doomed expression full of disgust). The baked items are good and aside from dessert choices on showcase, they have such things as dim sum dumplings and buns(either baked or steamed). I am pleased to have some of their delightful selections everytime I go.

Review is for the HK milk tea only. Strong(but not as strong as what they make INHK, haha), authentic, flavorful, and they were very amenable to me requesting half the sweetness. I like that they’re open somewhat late for a bakery, at least til 8pm on a weekday.

Ordered a cake for a friend’s 50th birthday this past weekend; 2 tier cake with a cupcake on the top and it was exceptional! Good reviews from all of my friends who tasted it; light and not too sweet. Ordered cupcakes here before as well and they are awesome. Their omelet roll is awesome. Always get their matchang(sticky rice with meat/peanut inside)! Cheap but very good! Some of their stuff can be a bit salty, but otherwise their sweet stuff are awesome-o! They have dimsum too and they are pretty good, although they don’t have much selections.

The Worst Deep Fried Curry Bun I ever had! Deep Fried Curry Bun, DFCB, is my life. I love it as Fried Chicken Sandwich. I was very excited when I saw DFCBs on the counter. So, I got 2. But my 1st bite got me such a bad old oil taste like MozaFXXXer!!! I almost choked to die because I could not swallow it. I could not breath, i forced to spitt out, and I kept coughing for a while like an old Asian man. I think I am in the category. So, I threw them away. The Good Orchard Bakery isn’t good. It’s bad, So Bad.
