If you buy here you get what you deserve. Plain and simple. Tried to sell me a $ 275 watch for over $ 500. Maybe for an uneducated tourist, but if you take 5 seconds and research what you want, you can EASILY not only beat their prices, but their service. They actually tried to sell me on the fact that their«warranty» was better than the rest. FYI — I was trying to purchase a G-Shock watch. G-Shocks are known to be rugged, durable, and dependable watches. Shopkeepers daughter was trying to put doubt in my head — AND I WASWEARING A G-SHOCK ATTHETIME! And if it did break, Casio offers a 2 year manufacturers warranty! What do I need their crappy store warranty for? And what am I gonna do, fly back from Chicago to have it serviced? But that wasn’t the kicker. Shopkeepers daughter then insulted my intelligence and knowledge of watches. Honey, your shop sells base-level watches at sharp markups. You’re not special, and sadly you ran into the 1 guy out of 100 who knows his stuff when it comes to watches. I wanted a good knock-around watch and you wanted money. We could’ve danced. But you had to act like a B and insult my intelligence. Bye Felicia! Walked out and was $ 500 richer for it. So as I said — if you buy a watch here, you get what you deserve. Research your timepieces and know the difference btw value and being ripped off.

I was walking in Chinatown and realized just from the window display that their watch selection was like nothing I had seen in the States before. Usually to see this many casios etc, I would be in a store in Singapore or somewhere in Asia. To my shock they had a Casio Frogman in their display. Nobody carries this– good luck ever finding an actual store with it. I was hesitant as the watch is $$ for a casio. Sure enough– someone else bought it a little while later. They were very nice and called me regarding another rare Seiko Marinemaster that was being released last year. They had it in stock– another rarity. If anyone asks me where is the place to buy great Japanese watches– especially rare ones– this is the place. I live in SJ and nothing else is similar down here.

They did a wonderful job changing the battery on my watch. They were very professional about it and it was only $ 5. I talked to the people who worked there and it’s been open for almost 30 years. I love supporting my local businesses and will definitely come back for another watch battery.

This is a small shop with an impressive selection of watches and jewelry. The staff is friendly and helpful. I found this place last year when I needed a band replaced on an old watch. I must have stopped by a dozen stores along Grant until finally I found one that could help. Today, I bought a new watch from Gold Wing. I am glad that I purchased my watch from this shop. I will likely return for other purchases in the future. *** Update September 2014 *** Bought my fourth watch from Gold Wing in July. If you’re wondering, they’re still running just fine.

This place is great! I stopped by yesterday while walking around Chinatown. I talked to the girl behind the counter, and I told her my friend’s birthday was coming up and I wanted to buy her some jade earrings. The only problem is I had no idea which kind to buy! So the girl suggested the safe route would be to buy a jade pendant. So she showed me the different ones they had, and I ended up buying this small round jade pendant with the Chinese character for«good luck.» I also bought a 14k gold chain to go with it. The price was great, considering another jewelry shop a few blocks away was trying to charge me $ 750 for some earrings! The girl put the pendant onto the necklace and placed it in a little box for me and said, «I hope she likes it!» I said, «Thank you very much,» and left with a smile on my face. =)
