I bought a toy for my little cousin and only when I got back home I saw the cashier added 1 $ for something I didn’t buy! 1 extra dollar = one bad review

There is not that many toy stores in SF so have to add a +1 unless you want to go to Target nowadays. This one is in SF Shopping Center. It’s pretty small but I think it gets the job done when you need to grab a toy for somebody as a gift. I guess toys are still not a common purchase so its hard to keep these type of stores going.

so it seems like the store is closed, so two stars for not updating your Unilocal ad, or website.

Cool shop in San Francisco center. We picked up a few card games and a stuffed animal here. Nice selection of hard-to-find toys and games.

This place doesn’t deserve one star due to their depleted inventory(it always seems half empty), high prices and rude, obnoxious owner. I had an unpleasant encounter with Cory, who claims to be the owner, and I decided to take my business elsewhere. I wish I had met him a couple of years earlier, before I(and my family) had spent most of our annual toy budget in this place. I decided to walk one block to Target, and was pleasantly surprised to find a much larger inventory of toys and better prices. In retrospect, having been to other Targets, I should have started there I recommend Target for basic toys(ie., play doh, leggos, crayons etc.) and Jeffrey’s Toys(which is located a couple of blocks away) for the largest selection of toys, including less mainstream toys. Jeffrey’s also has a more knowledgeable and nice staff than this place. If you’re in the Marina, try A Child’s Delight, which is a small, but nicely stocked and staffed toy store. I would probably avoid this place.

This is my first one star review and although I do not like giving one stars, I feel compelled to warn other parents about this store. We came here with my son’s grandparents who wanted to treat him to a special toy. So they shelled out $ 40 for a Darth Vader Angry Birds toy that turned out to be complete junk. Btw, you can buy the exact same toy at Amazon for $ 15 and Target for $ 20. I cannot believe they charge $ 40! Anyway, I called to see if I can exchange it or return it but I could not. The toy pretty much has to be in original mint condition(we had taken it out of the box and my son ripped the box) in order for you to return a toy. I could not believe that after double charging the price they would not let us even get store credit! Be wise and never shop here — at Target or Toys R Us you will get a fair price and you will be able to return it or get store credit. I will never, ever shop here again. What a rip off!

if you go to Suite 352 it will NOT be a toy store! I hear the toy store is now on the 4th floor near Bloomingdales :)

(See pics) Review #1117. Some of us never grow up, some refuse to, some do and indulge in toys and puzzles guiltless. Whether you are picking up a gift for a kid’s birthday, a present to reward the accomplishment(yours or someone else), some excellent and fun calendars(great way to teach kids to learn planning or you want to spice up your future goals by getting a recipe calendar), or the many kinds of lovely jigsaw puzzles, you could spend a lot of time here, undecided which ones to buy, or buy a few. As much as I was heartbroken about the old Borders that used to be at this space and with the end of some nostalgic civilization, this shop definitely lifted me up and those mystery jigsaw puzzles definitely help rebuild and retrain some brain muscles!

It was definitely fun for someone like me who grew up playing board games to discover this store. Browsing around and seeing all those retro board games there bring back so many memories.

I visited this toy store at the SF Center with my Mom over the weekend. I am so sick and tired of the big box of Toys’R Us. I like small boutique stores where there are old school toys and new toys in the mix. We had great customer service in the store and we were lucky enough to meet one of the store owners. I hope these guys make it in this otherwise very upscale(expensive!) mall. This is a great toy store!

On a trip so SF we stumbled into this new toy shop. I lived in SF for a couple years and frequented this mall. This spot used to be surf shop, I think? Anyways I walked in with my boyfriend and my son(3 yr old). All three of us instantly fell in love! There were great toys for every age and not all, if not most, weren’t mainstream. If we had more time we probably could have spent an hour+. I was tempted to buy my son their recycled trash truck when the man working there came over to tell me the bulldozer next to is was made of recycled wood! AMAZING. The guy was so great and gave us helpful tips about everything. I was seriously impressed with this place, if you can’t tell. I only wish they were located closer! It would be the perfect place to find fun gifts and I would totally get the puzzles and things there for myself. My son decided on probably one of the coolest toys there. A rocket ship that had to be wound up to work. First off awesome learning too, second no batteries equals very happy mom, third packaged with recycled materials, fourth my boyfriend and I liked it as much as my son, and fifth it was on sale from $ 30 to $ 14! Total steal. So we head to checkout and the man working tells us he and his friend started the franchise and are trying to get it up and running. Well I hope they do and open a place down here in Socal. If not I look forward to stopping in on all our future trips to SF!
