If you are hungry and want pizza… do NOT order from here. Two hours and still no pizza!

Yum. this pizza was delicious but it took FOREVER. It was worth the wait tho, and the salad was HUGE. Finally found my «bring me pizza» spot. Don’t think twice, just do it. and get the thick crust.

Unfortunately, I need to write an update for Giovanni’s. We have ordered here consistently over the past year(at least twice a month). My last review was 4 stars, based on the good delivery service and quality of the food we have ordered. Unfortunately both have gone downhill lately. Our last two delivery orders have been completely screwed up. At the time of my original review, the quality of the delivery food was very good. Our last few orders, however, I’ve noticed that the pizzas seem to be somewhat sloppily made… large areas of crust near the edges have no toppings, for instance, and the orders have come cold. For a while now, we’ve noticed that when we order soda with our food, they are either out of the soda we order and they don’t tell us until the time of delivery, or they forget the soda entirely. They have adjusted the orders, but still, they should tell you this when you order. Two weeks ago we ordered a Philly Steak calzone, which we love, but they delivered a Philly Steak sandwich instead. When I called them, they made the calzone and delivered it, an hour later. Tonight, the delivery time exceeded two hours, after an initial delivery estimate of 50 minutes. When I called after about 90 minutes to inquire about our order, the person on the phone was not very apologetic and simply said it was just really busy. I can handle that, but then don’t promise a 50 minute delivery window. One bad delivery experience wouldn’t phase me, but they are consistently missing the mark. I think we’ll probably not order again here, as the delivery experience has been substandard too often. Too bad, as their thin-crust pizza was one of my favorites. Back to Escape from NY for us, at least until Red Apron opens or Pizzahacker delivers.

They need to change the fliers from the best pizza in town to the worst pizza in town. I ordered a large what I thought was pizza only to get a pile of slop could not pick up a slice without everything sliding off ok easy fix spatula and use it as a fork too because it was so greasy and omg I cant describe it anymore I don’t want to get sick. And the cheese cake was this brown hard block substance unlike the photo in the menu I seen the other reviews and thought I might have the wrong place so I ordered again just to make sure and yup that’s them alright threw that in the trash quick and came to the conclusion they reviews were done by drunk people.

Waited 80 minutes for food. Cold and terrible food. Manager didn’t do anything. Real stand up people. Order from this place if you have time to kill and love to eat cold pizza

Wow. I thought we would give these fools another chance after terrible service 6 months ago when they covered our veggie pizza with meat. Sadly the staff still sucks and are stoned off of their gords. In fact they wouldn’t sell my wife a side of ranch with our to go order because our pizza had been waiting too long. Clearly that makes reasonable sense. A plastic container of ranch is directly associated with the time the pizza leaves the oven. We will never be back. Take two was a total failure.

Don’t order the Chicken Cordon Blue. It’s very small for the price and is served soggy, floating in a cream sauce. The garlic bread might have actually been a toasted hot dog bun. The vegetables in the Minestrone were flaccid from sitting in the vat too long. The Greek Salad was okay but had less than a teaspoon of feta cheese on it.

I used to order from here all the time when I lived in Glen Park. Love their food, especially the calzones! I wish I could still get delivery, I miss this place.

**Note this is strictly based on delivery experience only. If you have 1 hours+ to wait on pizza this place is where its at to order! If not, I highly suggest not ordering here for delivery. Placed an order online which had a 30 – 45 minute delivery time. 1 hour and 50 minutes have passed and finally got my order. I should’ve checked the Unilocal reviews prior to ordering(rookie mistake). 1st time ordering from this place, and most likely last time. I don’t know how long this business will last if this continues further. The food itself is not to bad. I ordered a small cheese stuffed crusted pizza and chicken wings. The stuffed crust pizza was pretty good! extra cheesy and sauce was flavorful. The chicken wings were great also! Not too saucy and had a little kick to them. I would rate higher if the delivery was faster but I was getting hangry as the order took forever to get here.

Placed an order for delivery and paid for it. And delivery never came. No notice or call, not very professional. Definately do not recommend for delivery.

Had an SF Pizza delivered with the thick crust, was a little more doughy than I would have liked it. The pizza was a little cold when it got here, took about an hour from when ordered through eat24. Pizza was ok, ordered at 1230 arrived around 130 am

I ordered a SMALL cheese pizza(italian sausage) and a pasta marinara for delivery. We placed it through Eat24 at 8:04 on a Sunday night. It said the wait would be between 30 – 45 min. Ok, no worries it’s not too late… so come 8:25 I get a text from eat24 saying the restaurant was busy so it would take a little longer than expected but it should ARRIVE by 9:04. Ok, an hour for a small pizza and pasta seems a little long but not a problem these things happen… I was really just hoping my food wasn’t cold. So come 9:10 I call the place and a lady answers and I let her know I’ve been waiting over an hour for a delivery of 2 items. She asks for my name and for the address. I gave her both… she says«I’m sorry, let me call the driver.» Then I was just like okay, thanks… she didn’t ask for a callback number or anything… I ended up calling her back 5 minutes later and she didn’t answer the first time. She answered a few minutes later and I asked if I could please speak to the manager… she said«I’m the manager» which I found really hard to believe… Our convo went like this: Me: «I called a few times before about my delivery I placed at 8:04pm. It’s already 9:20 and we literally ordered a small pizza and a pasta.» «Manager»: «What’s your address»(she asks for the 3rd time) Me: *gives address* «We literally ordered 2 small items» «Manager»:(in a VERY curt tone) «I understand. But we’re really busy right now»(no extended apology not even an apologetic tone! which is irritating as shit. I work with customers constantly and have to keep a calm tone even when they act bat shit crazy. which I was not by any means. my tone was a tad irritated but righteously so. Over an hour for 2 things. gimme a break… why is eat24 even working with you guys if you can’t even make an hour deadline??? Anyways back to the short but not so sweet convo.) Me: «Okay, and I did receive a notification from eat24 but they said you would be arriving by 9:04 at the latest. It’s almost 9:30.» «Manager»: «I talked to the driver and he said he’d be there in 5 minutes.(In my head I’m like, are you sure you don’t wanna ask me for my address for the 4th time just to make sure… and by 5 minutes… she meant another 20 –____-) Me: Alllllriiight… «Manager»: *Background restaurant noise* Me: *clicks and rolls eyes so far I can see my brain How can you say your the manager when you have no sense of customer service or how to handle a high volume of orders. I contacted eat24 and even the support lady couldn’t get a hold of them. The delivery driver finally came at 9:28pm and didn’t mention being late ATALL. I really should have read the reviews prior but we were hungry… and then HANGRY. I’ve been reading and seeing it’s a part of the restaurant package: $ 24 bucks for a small cheese and cold pasta delivered in an hour an a half or more! Apology and discount NOT included! The cheese pizza and pasta were good when warmed up but keep in mind we didn’t get to eat it until 10pm. Get your crap together or get a new manager/delivery driver… which in this spot’s case is basically the same position.

I went here after a soccer clinic with several ladies and all I can say is that it is pretty darn good pizza! The crust is thin, the pizza isn’t soggy and it was delicious! We ended up having our pizzas delivered at the bar next door and ate there. The gentleman who took our order at Giovanni’s was nice and helpful. I’ll definitely put this on my list of pizza places to go to if I’m ever in the area again. Note: This is PIZZA, not anything fancy, but just legitimate PiZZA. If you want the fancy stuff, I’d recommend wasting your money for those«artisanal pizzas» at Delfina lol. If you want a pizza to go with that beer and at a decent price this place is it.

Please please please save yourself the experience of eating at Giovanni’s Pizza Bistro or at the very least getting delivery from here. I ordered calamari and a meatball sub. The calamari came in a huge serving of large rings. The rings themselves were poorly seasoned, but the included sauce salvaged the appetizer by adding in a rich, slightly spicy kick. The meatball sub is where the problem lies. The sub was served with hard, inedible French fries, but I’ll let that slide because I did order after midnight. The sub was separated into 2, and had a total of 4 large meatballs. I ate one half and I can say that it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Moving on, I picked up the remaining half and prepared to take a bite. Thats when I noticed a small, flattened bug right near the split. It looks like a cockroach in my opinion but you don’t need an entomologist to see I could no longer eat from this place. Ever. Who knows what else was bug infested? The worst part is, their food was already barely passable. 1⁄5.

Do not waste your time! Placed an order online which advertised a 30 – 45 minute delivery time. Then was messaged saying restaurant needed an hours. Hour comes and go, then told driver has my order and will be at my home within 10 minutes. Ten minutes passes, and nothing. then told I was lied to and now really, my order was leaving the restaurant and I would have it in ten minutes, really. Another 10 minutes passes, nope, no food. It was over 90 minutes before food arrived. And it was cold. I live three blocks away and the food is cold? Now, I’m ready reviews and seeing many folks have similar experiences. I also see a manager is posting apologies., Newsflash to manager: we don;t want apologizes, we want our orders! How is it that you are clearly aware of the issues and have done nothing to make improvements?! There is no way this place will stay in business with the poor customer service.

Daaaaaaaaaammmmm… Over two hours for delivery on a Sunday afternoon. This is my first try with these guys. So… The food is good, but the poor driver was CLEARLY overwhelmed for some reason. He finally pulled up to the house over two hours after the order was placed, and then needed a full 5 minutes to sort through piles of different delivery orders in both his front cab and in his trunk, shuffling through a ream of paper slips in an effort to match them with the correct bags. SOMETHING went wrong at that restaurant, and he was left to sort out the mess. He apologized, and confessed some bafflement as to why he was given such a backlog of deliveries. So… We will try them again someday. And perhaps update this review. The food seems good, albeit a tad cold. We will see.

Don’t order through Unilocal/EatStreet. 90 minutes after I placed the order I called them to ask if they got it. They claimed they hadn’t. Then called EatStreet and found out that the restaurant had confirmed the order, but decided to throw it away rather than complete it(I guess they liked the $ 32 because they kept that). No explanation. Update: While I did provide proof of the order to the owner after her reply, I still haven’t received so much as an apology or even an explanation.

Great tasting Pizza and especially Pasta Dishes! And pretty fast with delivery… HOWEVER… when I ordered for delivery tonight the guy on phone said Minimum Free Delivery is $ 20. I said Really, since when? He said ‘Since a month ago it was $ 15 now its $ 20′. I said ‘thats really strange because I ordered just last week and minimum was $ 15′. I hate sneaky businesses that do that. Well there are many many other pizza places around!
