Lived on one the complex managed by Them! Horrible place! The management is really unprofessional, they’re always up in your business, their security tells you that you can’t be outside of your apartment after midnight(didn’t upset me, but I did get a good laugh out of it) I asked why cant I be out he said because it’s suspicious. lol but yeah long story short Barcolona apartments are a big joke!!! They don’t even deserve that one

I cannot believe you would associate yourselves with Westlake. I’m from the bay and have live other places in sf and this by far is the worst. My neighbors were disgusting and recently moved out. I take pride in my cleanliness and surprise I killed a roach that crawled out a crevice where our apartments meet

I have been living in a community managed by GBA for about 1 year and can say that this company does not deserve to be in business. Many of my neighbors have expressed the same sentiment, however, the collective experience is that when they bring up issues to manager William Choutka, they are talked down to due to their economic status and language barriers, and retaliated against by the company. My personal experience with this business has mirrored the stories that I have heard from my neighbors: I brought up my concerns about several unauthorized entries to my unit as it violated not only the lease but the California Civil Code, as well as noise complaints and concern for my safety. Prior to this discussion with the property manager, I had received a lease renewal request. Less than a week after these issues were brought up, I received a «Termination of Tenancy» notice from the business. This should not have surprised me as retaliatory action is common here but it was equally as disappointing to find that I am now another victim on their list. I have included aother personal account of one of the tenants: «This is a truly sickening place to live, meant literally — I have been physically sick since moving in here. The management breaks into apartments routinely, steals food and personal belongings, and vandalizes property(flattening my bike tires, cracking my computer cover among the most sickening offenses). The grounds crew stalks tenants they don’t like and makes hideous noise around them. The tenants are organized by the management to harass neighbors the management takes a dislike to. In addition to being constantly broken into, my car has been vandalized here, and I have been stalked, prowled, and verbally assaulted by tenants. This is a grotesque and criminal environment. The Daly City Police, by the way, are barely responsive to complaints and will usually tell you they have to consider all sides of the story. This is always a joke, since the offenses are always so egregious, and the fault is always clear. And finally, the organized tenants will always contrive to make the place seem paradisaical whenever they become aware of someone complaining — this is a truly scary place» Furthermore, there are various BBB complaints against them that have gone unresolved for the simple reason that the business consciously fails to respond to BBB to attempt to resolve or address the complaint issues: Simply put, this business is not adhering to the landlord/tenant laws stated in the California Civil Code and engaging in unlawful business practices that exploits their tenants and should not be recommended to anyone.
