Thank you for keeping it real Gamin!!! Do not be put off by the liquor store exterior. The food is delish! Solid burgers, check — Good fries, check — friendly workers, check — very very reasonable pricing. Will 100% be coming back for more!

Was in the area and dropped in for a quick bite to eat and Wowwwwww!!! Had the Double Royale w Fries. The meat here is delicious. So much flavor. $ 10 bucks for a huge burger, fries and a drink, I can’t complain. The gentleman behind the counter was nice as well. I will be back sooner than I thought.

Right priced Great burger in an unpretentious quiet uncrowded corner deli.

Best burger in the country. When my husband and I lived in the neighborhood, we’d do a weekly date night here. The burgers are what burger dreams are made of. God, I miss them!!!
Plus, the owner is a SWEETHEART. He’d always remember the craziest details from small talk about our lives. He cares so much about his customers. Do yourself a favor and make Ganim’s part of your take-​out or eat-​in routine!

The burgers and fish n chips are ok, but frankly not that good. My friend got the kabob plate once and it looked and tasted bad. It’s unfortunate because I live really close to this place so I want to like it more. They have a pretty decent beer selection and it’s cool that you can buy just 1 bottle if you’d like. With that being said the market 2 blocks away has a bigger selection. I don’t really see a need to go here. I hope they update the menu and start making better food.

Great food, great service, excellent prices. I couldn’t ask for more. It’s a great spot anytime and notably great when you want a quick bite and quality food. I’ve had the crispy chicken sandwich and burgers and they’ve both been bomb! Fries are perfect — thick yet with the right amount of crisp

I live right around the corner, so for me, Ganims is a regular spot. I LOVE this place. As many have said, it’s not trendy, it’s not fancy, it’s nothing revolutionary, it’s just great burgers and fried fare. Onion rings here are great, we’ve had almost all of the burgers and each one is as good as the last.
Not to mention, there are about four panels of floor to ceiling fridges that have any soda, water, or beer that you might want. You can grab a six pack, break one apart, or even grab some wine.
Everything is reasonably priced. Real world reasonably priced, not sf reasonably priced. $ 7 burger, $ 5ish beer.
Best part by far is the people who work here, the space, and the regulars. The guys who run this place care so much about their neighborhood. I see them accepting packages for neighbors who are worried about them getting stolen during the day, they know everyone by name, and are always incredibly nice.
Bottom line — go here. It’s great.

I’m very skeptical when it comes to mom and pop shops. They could be like raw gems or just dumps. Ganim’s is definitely a gem.
Came in starving for really good food. Ordered a cheeseburger and saw they had lamb gyros so i seized the chance. I have yet to find a good gyro until theirs.
I love that it’s a neighborhood spot. Guy behind the counter (unfortunately didn’t catch his name) was super friendly. I got the impression that its a spot locals in the area frequent.
Now the food. I decided to try the gyro first. Portion was for sure a good size. I was left happy after my meal. Sauce was awesome, lamb was well seasoned, and pita was soft but sturdy enough to hold its delicious filling.
I had the burger the next day. Maybe because I didn’t eat it fresh but your basic run of the mill burger. It’s was terrible but not as delicious as the gyro.
Ganim’s was a very pleasant surprise and will be back again.

the ambiance is *ahem* modest. you won’t be impressing and dates here, unless your date has delicious hamburgers incredibly high on her priorities.
no milk shakes or fountain drinks but they have a large selection of cans and bottles in the fridges. beer too. you can buy an enormous can of asahi.
also try the fish n chips.

When it comes to burgers I’m really stuck between five chains as my favorite burger. Goes as follows white castles, five guys, in & out, habit and then there’s ganims! I’m a burger snob. Ganims never gets their orders wrong, has a large selection of different soda’s to choose from «personal favorite is the Royal Crown soda they still carry.»
Ganims is a small hole in the wall you would only find if you lived in the neighborhood of where it’s located, or by word of mouth of very satisfied customers. People are friendly, orders are fast. And most importantly tastebuds are satisfied.

The burger was great and more of the homemade vibe and also added some awesome onion rings. The entire thing was $ 9 with a drink. Service was friendly and I’ll definitely be back!

I needed to find lunch quickly and happened to pass by Ganim’s. I stopped here trying to save time and be able to get a quick bite to eat during my lunch break. I see that many others have commented on the burgers and perhaps I should have ordered one instead of the chicken quesadilla.
The staff seemed nice enough, but they didn’t start my order until after a customer who had come in after me received his food. This held me up quite a bit. The worst issue was the quesadilla itself. Who in their RIGHT MIND uses sliced American cheese on a quesadilla?! Or rotisserie chicken with the skin still on it? To say I was baffled, confused, and irritated would be an understatement. I couldn’t even finish it so I wasted my 8 or so bucks. Kraft singles do not belong in quesadillas… shredded cheese, please.

I feel like everything could have used more salt. Besides that, it was super filling and definitely a burger and fries. I did accidentally burn my mouth on the fries, though (I wanted them asap). Like, those are fresh fries, okay. They’re going to be hot. Don’t be like me and burn your mouth on them. Wait a few minutes for them to cool down.

This place is a bit hidden in the potrero hill district. I’ve gone here twice and the quality of their burgers & fries in combination with the price, it can’t be beat (in the Mission/​Potrero area). I can’t speak on their other food options because I’ve not had any of them but, If you like burgers n fries, I totally recommend!

The prices at Ganims are hard to beat — good food at good prices that your wallet can afford every day.
It’s a varied menu: burgers, burritos, gyro, chicken plates… Nothing over $ 10 and both healthy and «guilty pleasure» items. For a belly buster go for the «Bogie Burger», which is double meat, double cheese, bacon. I only get it every so often because it’s definitely induced a few «food comas» in the past when we get back to the office!
For something cleaner, get the chicken kebabs (served w/​generous portion of salad and rice) and ask for extra hot sauce!
The guys who work here are really chill and relaxed, super helpful explaining the menu and just make you feel like your uncle or brother is making you some food before tou get back to work.
Also love that you can get a $ 3 beer with your food.
