There is no seating here, which isn’t a big deal because I usually pick up my lunch in FiDi to go. The order-taker was very friendly and the music playing was awesome!!!(Um, hell yeah I want to rock out to Salt n Peppa during my lunch break!!!) …bonus star for music and service. I somewhat agree with the previous posts regarding food flavor being a bit bland. However, I like that this place doesn’t hide oils or salt to their dishes. I was craving fresh and healthy lunch and I felt satisfied withy soup and hummus. My coworkers Buddha bowl looked delicious too! Next time I hope to try a soup + salad combo or maybe even a «3-way»

I don’t know why this place gets bad reviews. Everything I have had here is delicious. I eat pretty healthy and find the food to be amazingly flavored. I can tell it’s fresh. I also love the staff, I have quirky requests which they all know by now and have never made a mistake in making my food. I also love that I’m always greeted with a smile. The prices are reasonable, could be a little less, but it’s on the Embarcadero after all…

This is probably the worst food establishment in the Embarcadero(all 4). I created my own bowl which included brown rice, chicken, cheddar jack cheese, avocado, black beans, tomatoes, spinach and olive oil. The chicken was definitely boiled and tasted like it was marinated in chicken stock and nothing else. Marinating it with salt and pepper, or at least grilling it would have made this place go from one star to two stars. The cheddar jack cheese and avocado were«premium items» which were each a dollar extra. Yet, I only got a couple tablespoons worth of jack cheese and three measly slices of avocado. Talk about high profit margins here, otherwise that cheese better have been grass-fed… Lastly, they forgot to add the spinach and they ran out of olive oil. Can you name me a «healthy eating» establishment in San Francisco that does not carry /runs of out of olive oil, one of the most basic food condiments(and it’s on the menu!)??? All in all I paid $ 11 for one of the blandest lunches I’ve ever had. If you want a healthy yet cheap meal, try hard boiling two eggs and having a banana to go with it. That would have been much tastier at 1⁄10th the price…

Ordered the lemongrass soup. Happy with it. Large portion. Broth is good and vegetarian. You can add whatever protein you want. A bit spicy so probably not good for people who can’t do spice. No seating.

Let’s just be honest here… the concept is great(giving them an extra star for that)… but food isn’t! I keep coming here thinking I might have come on a off day… as I was craving something fresh and healthy… but I just can’t justify coming here anymore. I have had their bowls… rice is hard, tofu tastes like it’s gone bad, and it’s bland. Today, I ordered their lemongrass soup with rice noodles… and it really sucked. It tasted like watered down soup… and very little of anything in there… I am done with giving this place a chance. I am never going back. Bad food period! Why do that when there’s so many other wonderful options!!!

I don’t get it. Like, if you’re going to do something healthy and fresh, why does it have to be boring and bland? Isn’t it your job as a restaurant to make something that would be boring and bland into something completely awesome and appetizing? Guess not. I literally just wasted $ 8 on the Warrior. I couldn’t even finish it it was so unappetizing. They basically threw some shredded carrots, canned corn, un-marinated, bland tofu and unseasoned quinoa into a bowl with some ranch dressing. Seriously. Awful.

Their salads should be 1 star but I am being generous by putting 2 stars because I am giving them the benefit of a doubt on their other food options. DONOT order a SALAD here unless you enjoy eating a lunch that will leave you absolutely hungry and unsatisfied. And I am not a big eater either, not even close. It was ridiculous how TINY their salad was… in fact, it is probably 40% the size of a Mix’t Greens salad and probably even less when compared to other places that have bigger salads like Buckhorn which is right next to this place. The problem is… they charged me $ 10 for this TINY salad that should have cost no more than $ 5-$ 6!!! And I paid extra for chicken which wasn’t even a full serving… it was like 2 oz which is half a portion! This SALADIS A JOKE. WHYBOTHERSERVINGTHIS and claim it’s a full sized salad when it’s at best a half size? The container was so shallow, only 2 inches deep at most! Don’t bother… unless you like to waste money and not eat. SERIOUSLY. I mean, even The Plant gives you more food for your money(and their ingredients are WAY better than this place)… yeah, I almost forgot to mention that my chicken that I paid extra for looked like the kind of chicken you get from Safeway in a pre-packaged box from Tyson or something… Do your self a favor and just pass…

Meh. Got their teriyaki chicken bowl with brown rice not last week and my reaction was literally«meh». A co-worker of mine said that it was a decently sized and moderately healthy lunch, but the chicken was a little dry and the rice was overcooked. Overall conclusion is that I probably will try and find another option as my go-to lunch time option.

Probably one of the most boring lunches I’ve had. I’m not sure why I was expecting more– I’ve definitely been spoiled by all the great food in this area. Ordered the salad and everything was fresh but it was so basic. The cucumber dill dressing didn’t have much flavor either. Only good thing is that its not as busy as other lunch spots around here.

Great vegan and veggie options — all with calorie counts! I had the wrangler, but didn’t love the sauce or the cabbage(had a bitter taste)

Freshii isn’t that bad of a place as people say it is. It’s pretty straight forward from a menu standpoint. They have bowls, burritos and several different options if you want chicken, tofu, or steak. The price is reasonable for what it is I get the teriyaki bowl and I’ve gotten a chicken burrito on wheat. Both were decent and were definitely filling. I wouldn’t call it the most«flavorful food» but that’s probably because it’s healthier than what I normally get. I wouldn’t consider the food as «fresh» as they made it sound. If you have the level-up app on your phone make sure to use it. I got $ 5 off my order for using it for the first time. I would probably give it 1 more star if it wasn’t for the cashier who laughed at me when I told him I was trying to do a healthy option and chose something he thought wasn’t.

Yep, a little over priced, and it’s sometimes a little hard to hear them call out your name on the days that they are rocking out and the music is too loud(doesn’t happen every day) — but overall I’m a fan. As a veggie and not wanting to be stuck with boring green salads with only tomato and mushroom, I quite like coming here for the«Harvest Salad». My greens have always been fresh and the mango dressing is SUPER tasty. I did try the Superbiotic Vegan once and it was pretty bland, so don’t recommend for vegans. Today is the first time(probably out of about 5 – 6 times over the past 3 months) that the carrot looked a little dry — but I went pretty late over the lunch period. It’s one of the nicest tasting salad and wrap only bars near my work(yes, the other one is better) but I don’t like waiting in line foever and Freshiii seems to fit as one of my better lunch options.

1.75÷5 subpar. i have a big pet peeve when customers are in line and employees continue to chat among themselves and make everyone wait. same thought on the quality — «fresh» is not operative in «freshii»

One star for the Cobb salad. And Zero star for the new menu and ordering system. I haven’t been to Freshii for a while and decided to pay it a visit today. I found out its menu had changed. Totally disappointing! I got a smaller potion of salad for a higher price compare to other salad places. In addition, the salad was not fresh. I will not be going back to Freshii.

I basing this off the actual quality of the food. As a vegetarian, I ordered a very basic beet salad and let me tell you, it was nothing close to «fresh.» There was absolutely NO flavor in this salad. I had beets, black sesame seeds(?), avocado, and«greens»…just no. Yes, I am high maitenance when it comes to my food, so sue me. Sorry that I care to fuel my body with proper nutrition. My bad. I literally had 2 – 3 bites, and tossed the rest. I hate that. First of all… WASH your vegetables. If I can taste the container in which the vegetables came in as I’m eating, theres a problem. Secondly, I think the staff should be taught how to prepare, present, and describe a dish before they are hired. This place needs serious help.

What does Freshii have going for it? A name that’s fun to say aloud, a menu that looks like it has a lot of things I’d like, and a location that’s great for us lunchtime FiDi captives. Why won’t I probably ever go back to Freshii? The Spicy Asian Bowl was spicy, as advertised, and tasted pretty good for the first 20 bites or so. After that though, it just tasted like a shitload of spicy noodles. So many spicy noodles that I couldn’t even finish and it left me disbelieving that this was under 500 calories as the menu indicated. The real reason I probably won’t go back though is the same reason that drove me there in the first place: If captive in the FiDi for lunch there are a million other places to choose from, many which I know I like more than Freshii. Not a bad place, just not a place I’m inspired to try again.

In theory, I should really like Freshii as a takeout lunch option but unfortunately it falls just a tad bit short. The promise of fresh food, made to order, and the joy of eating sounded so appealing to me and the menu was built to suggest just that. I ordered the Wild Pacific salad because it seemed like a light and bright salad with spinach, salmon, peppers, and mandarin segments topped with a cucumber dill dressing. As promising as that salad sounded, it was just a tad bland. I didn’t taste the brightness that I was really expecting. The salmon came out of a vacum-sealed plastic wrap which gave it a canned tuna kind of taste and texture. The whole salad needed maybe a little bit of salt to pull it all together. Perhaps there are other choices that make Freshii better but I won’t be hurrying back soon considering the many other choices around the area.

Wow. really suprise by the sub-par reviews. I stopped by during pieak lunch hour and ordered a lemon grass soup. The broth was really fresh and delicious. and just the right amount of noodles and chicken – didn’t weight me down. The service was fine – I was in and out within five minutes. Any places that offer fresh ingredients and completely customize to order is just great by me!

Mass customization of food is essentially like paying someone to go to the salad bar for you who will follow 85% of your written instructions. The restuarantuer is essentially shirking creative responsibility and letting the plebes make novice mistakes like pairing edamame with artichoke hearts. That bias aside, I really like their focus on the environment, though I do wish they would use the stronger word«organic» rather than just«natural». I opted for the rice noodle bowl since it seemed more uncommon than the salad, wrap or brown rice bowl options. They were the light broad phở style rice noodles that are rather bland compared the fresh hand-pulled genre of noodles which seem to be taking the SF food scene by storm. The«premium» toppings were rather boring options like blue cheese, tofu, grilled steak, walnuts, chicken with four sauce options and olives. Since when were olives premium? I opted for the bacon and teriyaki chicken. The bacon was super thin and soggy… yuck! The teriyaki chicken was unlike any teriyaki you’d get at a Japanese restaurant. It was essentially precooked dense chicken breast cubes with an ever so slight dusting of teriyaki glaze. Since I couldn’t decide on the unlimited toppings, I got them all. Apparently unlimited doesn’t really mean unlimited because they omitted the crispy wontons and house croutons from my bowl, which I was actually looking forward to because the rice noodles were such a boring carb. The veggies were very fresh, sometimes too a fault. Raw broccoli just isn’t as good as one slightly sautéed. I didn’t go crazy on mixing the sauces, just ordered a «1» size of sriracha. They were pretty stingy so the«1 ½» option probably would have been more appropriate. Overall, I didn’t feel like any particular item stood out on the menu. With so many options there is no time for them to put attention into developing a few signatures. For example, what if their bean sprouts were like those cool lightly pickled and spicy little plates you get at a Korean restaurant? The whole experience was like those omnipresent froyo places that offer cereal and candy toppings that is novel to try once, but soon becomes so easy to be over it!
